After reading Reviews on various sites about this Hotel, I was prepared for a cigarette smell, but it was not an issue at all. The Room had a TV, microwave, kettle, two-door refrigerator, hair dryer, and a power strip with USB ports. The bedding and towels were comfortable to use. It takes about a 15-minute walk from Matsusaka Station, but within a 5-minute walk from the Hotel there is Gyutora (open until 9:00 PM), a drugstore, and a post office, which was convenient. The staff provided a thorough explanation at check-in. After check-in, you keep the key yourself and simply leave it before 12:00 PM on the day of check-out. As mentioned in some Reviews, there were partially eaten food items and drinks left in the refrigerator from the previous guest. Next time I stay here, I plan to check inside the refrigerator while staff are present.

The staff were very kind and left a great impression. The Room and other facilities were compact and clean. Although it requires a Reservation, we appreciated being able to use the large public bath.

Stayed after visiting Huis Ten Bosch Traveled from Hiroshima by motorcycle. Checked in past midnight, and since there was no parking sign for motorcycles, I parked in a compact car space before proceeding to check-in. When asked, "Are you traveling by car?" I mentioned that I parked my motorcycle in the compact car space. The male staff member responded pleasantly without hesitation, "Oh, that's fine!" Although it was No Meals Included, I had a very comfortable stay. It made me realize how important first impressions are!

We stayed as a family of three. While the location is a bit inconvenient without a car due to its distance from the station, the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere made up for it. From our room, we enjoyed stunning views of snow-capped mountains in the distance. The bath was pleasantly warm, allowing us to relax and relieve our fatigue. It was a wonderful trip where we could visit places like Moto-Zenkoji Temple, Iida's attractions, and Tenryu Gorge. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We missed visiting the Central Tectonic Line Museum in Oshika Village this time, but we look forward to staying here again when we plan to go there!

I stayed here solo. Check-in was at the front desk on the first floor of the building across the street. The building where I stayed did not seem to have staff on-site, but it was reassuring that there was a front desk in the building opposite. The Room was simple, the linens were clean, and the shared toilets and bath were also clean. I would like to stay here again when I visit Chino.

This was my first stay, and it offered far more freedom than a Business Hotel with No Meals Included. The sunset over the sea in the evening was amazing! I enjoyed a blissful time sipping freshly brewed drip coffee. Great value—100 out of 100.

We stayed at UKAN on the BBQ course Plan. Check-in was at 3:00 PM, but they let us park from around 2:00 PM, so we could play in the sea right in front. There is a swimming beach next to the Accommodation, and it felt like it continued all the way to the front of where we stayed. It seemed safe to swim; there were quite a few people at the main beach, but right in front was quiet and mostly just for guests. The slope from sand to water is a bit steep, so small children may need extra attention, but it’s still fine to enjoy. There’s a breakwater at the edge of the swimming area where you can fish. That was our main purpose this time, and we were happy we got to enjoy fishing. The Room was generally clean. There was a stain left by previous guests that seemed to be removed around check-in time. We appreciated their effort to keep things clean, though it would have been even better if it had been finished before check-in. For the BBQ, the portions looked small based on how they were plated, so we went out to buy extra food at a convenience store—but in the end it was enough. Breakfast might feel a little light. The BBQ Facility includes a grill and table and is basically sufficient, but better lighting, table settings, and an improved BBQ area layout would likely increase satisfaction. As for insects, since it’s between mountains and the sea, I think it can’t really be helped. If you keep everything closed they generally don’t come in. However, because you go back and forth between the Room during BBQ time, some inevitably got inside. If insect control could be improved further, it would feel more reassuring. (I’m not too bothered by bugs, but my wife felt a bit uneasy.) The air conditioning in the Room was comfortable, but there was an odor in the washroom—maybe humidity or drainage—that bothered me. Overall we were satisfied despite these points. We’d like to stay again soon.

I found a Plan that does not use wheat flour, vegetable oils, dairy products, or sugar, and stayed here looking forward to these meals. An Accommodation offering a “Four Toxins-Free Plan” is still rare across the whole country, so it felt like I had finally found one. There were many dishes, all of them truly delicious, and I left completely full. I was very satisfied. It may have been the best food I’ve had at any Ryokan I’ve stayed at so far. Niigata Prefecture is far from my home and not somewhere I often get the chance to visit, but that made the sightseeing feel fresh as well, and I had a wonderful time.

One night with breakfast and dinner I stayed here on the final day of my journey of land purification and integration. This seaside Accommodation offers an Onsen bath, delicious meals, and warm hospitality from the owner. Thank you very much.

What made me decide to stay this time was that the Room had both a microwave and a washing machine! Some Hotels have laundry Facilities in the building, and some have a microwave in the lobby or in the Room, but it was eye-opening to find a Hotel where I could use both privately inside my own Room for the first time. It was truly convenient not having to deal with shared machines being in use and not knowing when they’d be available. The washer also had a tub air-dry function, which helped shorten drying time and was a big help. I also wanted to eat gyoza for breakfast in my Room! In Utsunomiya, I ate dinner at an eat-in place, then took gyoza to go and reheated them the next morning—it was delicious. This is something I couldn’t have done without an in-room microwave (I didn’t want to carry it down to the lobby), so my little wish came true. I’ve used unmanned check-in before, but this was my first time at a Hotel with no staff on site at all, which really surprised me. However, I had read Reviews beforehand about it being “unmanned” and requiring face photo capture, so check-in went more smoothly than I expected. If I hadn’t known anything in advance, though, I might have panicked. Many Hotels seem to have cramped unit-bath tubs, but this one was spacious and didn’t feel tight at all—really nice. I usually have trouble falling asleep, but maybe because of the bed and overall space here, I slept soundly from 10 pm to 6 am and surprised myself. The only thing I really want to mention: although the Rooms are non-smoking indoors, there was a huge ashtray stand placed right in front of my door. Even just opening the door briefly while moving luggage let cigarette smell drift into the Room, which was truly disappointing. Why is it placed there? It seemed randomly placed and unfortunately ended up right outside my Room—and since I hate cigarette smoke, that part made me sad. Even smoke from someone smoking far away outside another Room drifted into mine sometimes; having it right in front of my door was nothing but unpleasant. I’d appreciate it if you could consolidate smoking into one designated area or create an enclosed smoking room like a small booth. Overall it was very good. I’d like to stay again.

This was my first trip to Chichibu and Nagatoro. The lobby was gorgeous, filled with green marble. The Room was luxurious, spotless, and wonderful. The restaurant had a great view, with Mount Hodosan faintly visible—truly spectacular. The food was exquisite, including a Japanese-style hamburger steak made without the four harmful ingredients and fresh sashimi. The large public bath was spacious and very clean. The water temperature was on the hotter side, which warmed me up and helped me relax. I also appreciate that you took photos for us at the end. It’s a Hotel I would love to stay at again.

The space was very spacious and comfortable. This was my second stay, and I would love to stay again and highly recommend it.

I stayed here during a solo touring trip in Nagasaki. Since I was traveling by motorcycle, I was worried about parking, but they let me park inside the garage, which was great. Although I chose a Plan without meals, there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it wasn’t an issue. The building itself is old, but it’s well maintained and clean. The Facility is also solid: a unit bath with a washlet toilet seat, a spacious bed, and a modern air conditioner. Considering how low the Accommodation Fee was, I’m extremely satisfied. I’ll definitely stay again.

Although I requested a non-smoking room, it smelled of cigarettes when I entered. I opened the window and turned on the ventilation fan and air purifier, and the smell eventually went away. Otherwise, everything was excellent. Check-in is at 2:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM, so you can enjoy a relaxed stay. The Hotel in front of the station is easy to find, and there are many restaurants around it, which is very convenient. I would like to stay at this Hotel again.

Thank you very much for taking care of us for one night and two days. The staff service was wonderful, with bright, friendly smiles. Monday breakfast was delicious and included Toyama specialties; it was spacious, and everything such as croissants, rice, side dishes, miso soup, and more was tasty. The restaurant staff also had great smiles. Since it was a smoking Room, I felt the ventilation was not very good; unless I smoked with the bathroom and toilet door open, it became smoky. The air conditioner was slightly dirty and had an odor. However, we were able to stay at a reasonable price, so overall it was good. If we have the opportunity again, we would be happy to stay again.

I used this place after a long time. It is sufficient for business use. Mobile charging cables are provided, including Lightning for iPhone, Type-C for Sharp smartphones, and Micro USB for power banks. It's not a big issue, but the USB port on the bedside was damaged, so I couldn't charge my phone while using it in bed.

The price is very reasonable for the Obon holiday period. The Onsen is also great. It was convenient to park the car right in front of the cottage.

On my first visit to Shima Onsen, I had planned to arrive early and do some sightseeing, but due to heavy rain, I ended up waiting until check-in—thank you very much for accommodating me. The Room was very clean and more spacious than I expected. The in-room bath was at the perfect temperature, and I used it many times, which helped relieve my everyday fatigue. I made a Reservation with No Meals Included, but the à la carte dinner was also delicious, and the service was courteous. With an 11:00 check-out, you can take your time, and since you just return the Room key and leave, it feels casual and easygoing—perfect for someone like me who isn’t comfortable with the formal hospitality and send-offs typical of long-established Ryokan.

There is also a large public bath, so I was able to relax.
