There are few restaurants or convenience stores nearby, but the in-room dining offers a family-restaurant-level selection, along with a drink bar, and there is also a water dispenser in the Room, so we had no inconvenience at all. Even after 1:00 a.m., light meals and alcohol are available until 6:00 a.m. Both the Room and the bathroom were spacious and clean, and the amenities were well stocked. However, the TV remote control responded so poorly that it was difficult to use.

The Room was spacious, so we could relax and enjoy a luxurious day!! The outdoor BBQ was also wonderful!! We were also able to visit a nearby Onsen, which was great. Since there weren’t many people, we could take our time and unwind. We’d love to come again.

In early autumn in Karuizawa, I was able to enjoy delicious cuisine in a quiet setting. I arrived a little early, before 3:00 p.m., tired from the drive, but the welcome drink was nicely chilled, and the florentines left in the room were crisp and delicious. Although it was close to central Karuizawa, it was a lovely auberge with an attractive exterior, surrounded by forest and offering a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Inside, while the doors, windows, and other fittings had a classic style, everything was kept clean and there were no issues with usability; the furniture and small decorative touches were also charming. The lamp-style lighting fixtures were lovely but slightly dim—I would have appreciated an extra light for reading. For dinner, I had hoped to dine at Pyrenees among the two restaurants available, but it was closed that day, so I chose French cuisine at the main building instead. It was a French course with subtle Japanese influences and priced on the higher side at JPY 22,000. The main dish was duck (a bit early for the season), though there may be room for further refinement in its preparation; however, it paired beautifully with the wine selected for me. Dessert consisted of two elaborate dishes featuring seasonal fruit. Considering this attentive service as part of the experience (and given that prices have risen everywhere over this past year), I felt the cost was understandable. The bathroom had a Western style with a separate shower booth and was well equipped overall; however, as someone of smaller build—and over 70—I found some aspects slightly concerning: the tub floor felt slippery underfoot, the bathtub sides were high to step over without anything to hold onto. I would appreciate it if more consideration could be given to elderly guests. Overall, it had an elegant and relaxing atmosphere.

The kids’ meals and amenities were excellent, and the Facility environment was wonderful for keeping children entertained. The kids’ room is open 24 hours, so even children who wake up early and are full of energy could enjoy themselves to the fullest. When our older grandchild fell ill on the second day, you were a tremendous help—preparing gentle-on-the-stomach meals and promptly taking care of the bedding. The adults who enjoy drinks also thoroughly enjoyed the all-inclusive plan. We would love to visit again. Just one request: we would feel safer if an additional lock for access to the open-air bath and footbath area could be installed higher up as well. Our 4-year-old can unlock doors on their own, and we felt anxious about them accidentally stepping out onto the terrace and potentially falling into the river. Thank you for considering this.

Thank you for taking care of us the other day. I hope this will be helpful to others, so I’ll share my comments by category below. Guestroom & Amenities: We were accommodated in the large room on the 1st floor. Incense was gently burning, which made it very pleasant. The restroom was also spacious, so even elderly guests can feel at ease. The water provided in the in-room refrigerator was truly delicious. Hospitality & Service: This was exceptionally good. The proprietress was very kind, and my two elderly parents seemed genuinely happy. Everyone else as well treated us not by following a script, but with their own sincere words and attitude. I’ve stayed at quite a few places over the years, but this is not something easily done. In the end, I believe this is how true care is conveyed. Hot Springs: We gave the private open-air bath to an elderly couple, and I used the large public bath on the 2nd floor. The quality of the water was excellent—so much so that I almost regretted rinsing off afterward. I took a look at the open-air bath too; it was beautifully decorated with flowers. That said, they mentioned that the water temperature felt a bit low—but that’s simply personal preference. Facilities & Equipment: Since there are only stairs, going up to higher floors may be difficult for elderly guests. We stayed on the 1st floor, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Seasonal flowers were displayed at corners along the hallway, creating a lovely atmosphere. I also wished I could have spent more time looking at the Chichibu Meisen display corner. Meals: No complaints about either taste or portion size. The finishing udon noodles were light and refreshing—excellent. Also, the multigrain rice was wonderfully soft; it tasted completely different from what we cook at home. Overall Satisfaction: There is a star rating system; on a 5-point scale, every category is 5 out of 5. If it were out of 10 then it would be 10/10—and if out of 100 then it would be 100/100. We had no complaints at all—only thoroughly satisfying time throughout our stay. With my elderly parents’ stamina and traveling such a long distance to stay overnight, this will probably be our last trip together. It may sound like closing remarks, but I’m truly glad we chose your inn. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Lastly, to our dinner attendant (I apologize for not asking your name), please take good care of your knee. We look forward to visiting again someday.

The staff were very kind. The Room was clean overall and very comfortable to stay in. When I asked for a soft drink, they prepared a different variety than expected, which surprised me—in a great way! I was really happy. There was a small kitchen, so it was convenient for light cooking. Also, there was an excellent selection of face wash and skincare items like toner, which was great. The bed was fluffy and the pillows were soft, making it very comfortable to sleep. I also appreciated having a Nintendo Switch available—it was really fun! There were so many services, and everything was fantastic. I’d definitely like to stay again!

Thank you very much for your hospitality. The staff’s polished service was outstanding, and the room felt extremely clean. The size, amenities, and in-room facilities were all very satisfying. In particular, the room with a balcony this time had a wonderful view and was perfect. The Bay Club Lounge is on a completely different level from lounges at other hotels, and we were able to spend an elegant, relaxing time there. The cocktails, mocktails, and food are always truly delicious and make us feel happy. We sincerely hope these wonderful services will continue unchanged in the future... We stayed here for the first time to celebrate our grandchild’s 3rd birthday. Since we also planned outings to the safari park and aquarium, we were amazed by how many hotel activities there were—three days wasn’t nearly enough! We stayed in the Sora Wing this time, and check-in at the front desk was smooth and pleasant. It was a perfect stay for our family. The meals exceeded our expectations as well. We enjoyed two dinners and two breakfasts without getting bored, and the kids especially loved the buffet—including ice cream for dessert. We simply didn’t have enough time lol. We’d love to visit again and fully enjoy everything the hotel has to offer.

The location is right in front of the station and easy to find, and the Room was spacious and relaxing. The amenities were high quality, and everything was very comfortable. Free drinks and snacks in the lobby were available for guests to enjoy freely, which felt generous rather than stingy—much appreciated. All the staff were full of hospitality. The attentive service truly lived up to its reputation as a “guesthouse.” The view from the main building’s open-air bath overlooking Lake Hibara was outstanding. The open-air bath exclusively for Nekoma Rikyu guests also had a calm atmosphere and was equally wonderful. There are many thoughtful services, including a shuttle bus you can board without a reservation, complimentary drinks in the lounge, a bar where you can enjoy darts and billiards, and the Lake Hibara View Room. The corridor leading to the open-air bath was dark and felt unsafe for my elderly mother’s footing, so I mentioned it at the front desk; the next day they turned on the lights from early in the evening. The staff were kind, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. I would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed here for a trip to celebrate a 60th birthday. Not only were the Onsen, Facility, and meals excellent, but above all, the hospitality and service from the staff who assisted us were outstanding. It was disappointing that we couldn’t see Mt. Tateyama due to the typhoon’s effects, but we’ve decided that next time we’ll book a Multiple Night Stay and go to see Mt. Tateyama with its remaining snow.

I stayed for two nights and three days on my first trip to Izumo Taisha with my mother. From the warm welcome to the guidance throughout our stay, everyone was very kind. There were many types of baths, all thoroughly cleaned and spotless. We were happy to find ice cream at night and a dairy drink available in the morning. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style with a wide variety of options. Everything was delicious—I honestly felt like staying for a whole week (lol). After dinner, they also provided caffeine-free tea and more; their thoughtful hospitality truly warmed our hearts. Everything about this place was wonderful. They even arranged a taxi for us. The room was very clean, and since my mother loves coffee, she was thrilled that there was a coffee set (with beans) in the room. It was an incredibly fulfilling three days and became the best memory for both of us. Thank you so much to all the staff members. When we come back to Izumo, we will definitely stay here again.

The staff were very polite and pleasant. On the day of departure, I was unsure whether to put my luggage in a station coin locker or ask the hotel to hold it, and I didn’t say anything. However, the front desk kindly asked, “Would you like us to store your luggage after check-out?” so I asked the hotel to keep it. When I returned to the hotel, I ordered the Nagasaki Café Set in the lounge. It included small portions of local specialties—castella cake and milkshake—so it wasn’t too heavy and was just the right amount for me. The atmosphere was calm, and I could relax. The room was clean, with separate bath, sink area, and toilet. The bed was very comfortable—I ended up sleeping past my planned time. From the window, I could see the “Kamome” Shinkansen. Since my feet were tired from sightseeing, I was happy there was a hot bath facility. However, there were only four washing stations; it would be better to have at least around seven. Also, it closes early (10:00 PM), so I wish it were available until around 11:00 PM.

I’m usually the one in charge of booking hotels when traveling with friends or family. I choose a place by considering various factors such as budget and room options, and I always look forward to hearing everyone say afterward, “That was a great choice again.” This was my first stay at SORA Hotel, and I stayed for two nights. Thoughtful details were evident throughout—for example, breakfast seating included calm areas away from families with children, and even small touches like towel use in the bath were carefully considered. For me, there wasn’t a single negative point during my stay. Maybe it was because it was on weekdays… but I truly enjoyed my time here.

This was my first stay. The station and morning market were close by, and the view from the open-air bath was amazing, so I was very satisfied. The staff were also pleasant and welcoming. The only disappointing point was that the restaurant I chose with the breakfast voucher wasn’t very good. I had been looking forward to breakfast at the morning market, so that was a shame—choosing the right place matters. Everything else was great, and I’d like to visit again.

The hotel was very conveniently located close to the station. The room was spacious for a single business-hotel room, and the bed was large and comfortable. The clean room, large public bath, and complimentary ramen at night were all excellent. Also, having an 11:00 AM checkout gave us extra time, which was very helpful.

They assigned us the convenient Room we had requested in advance, and we were able to enjoy a comfortable Multiple Night Stay. It was fun to have a different roller blind from last time! Shinsaibashi and Namba are within walking distance—not too close, not too far. After walking around all day, we could relax and soothe our tired bodies in the bathtub. We also appreciated having a separate bath and toilet. Thank you for the thoughtful care from the Hotel staff. Thank you again for all your help on this trip. We will stay here again when we visit Osaka!

We stayed as a couple, and my husband uses a wheelchair. It’s rare to find a Hotel this barrier-free. We had no inconveniences at all during our stay. Dinner was the standard Plan, but the portions were generous, and everything from the appetizers to the meat and rice was delicious. My husband especially liked the miso soup we had at both dinner and breakfast, so we bought miso at the shop. I wonder if we can make it well at home? From check-in to check-out, our stay was very comfortable. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed at Dormy Inn in Nagano and Sendai, and I really liked the large public bath. I’d love to stay at other Dormy Inn locations again.

A wide variety of drinks were available—the gin was delicious, and there was also a great selection of wines—so it was perfect for me as someone who enjoys alcohol. The room wasn’t on the mountain side, but I was able to relax in the open space on the first floor, read a book, and enjoy the complimentary coffee service. The open-air bath is set in nature, and I used it several times. Next time, I’m thinking of coming with my daughter.
