I was very satisfied because the complimentary amenities suited my skin type. The staff were excellent, and since I had some time before check-in, I waited in the lobby and they kindly offered an early check-in. Their explanations were clear and very helpful. It was also very convenient to be able to check the coin laundry availability on the Room TV.

We chose the Anniversary Plan as it coincided with my husband’s five-year service refresh leave and the month of our wedding anniversary. On this Hakone trip, we used the free pass and hadn’t realized the hotel was on higher ground, so we quickly arranged a taxi to get there. After the hassle of getting there, I briefly wondered if we’d chosen the wrong place—but that concern disappeared as soon as we arrived. From the large lobby windows, we had a clear view of Lake Ashi, and it was immediately obvious this is a hotel with an outstanding view—scenery you can only get from an elevated location. Our room’s balcony also faced Lake Ashi and had a comfortable table set and an open-air bath. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, so we made coffee right away and enjoyed it on the balcony with the complimentary fruit while relaxing together and taking in the lake view. There were two types of coffee. I appreciated that one was decaf—perfect for evening so caffeine wouldn’t affect sleep—while in the morning there was a richer option to help you wake up. It felt very thoughtful. The bathing setup was also excellent: there was an indoor shower room, so we didn’t have to worry about getting cold while washing up, and then we could simply enjoy soaking in the open-air bath out on the scenic balcony. The hot spring water felt wonderful; I soaked many times and my skin felt silky smooth. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious, but especially memorable was the meat: thick yet incredibly tender, with enough fat to be flavorful while still tasting light. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had meat that good before. The tableware was also beautifully chosen throughout, making each course visually enjoyable as well. The staff were all polite and attentive. One newer staff member seemed possibly mixed heritage; her explanations were sometimes a little hard to catch, but her sincere effort came through clearly and left a great impression. Although we only told them about our anniversary on check-in day, they not only prepared a celebratory message plate but also took photos for us at short notice and presented them to us at breakfast the next morning—it became a wonderful keepsake. The next morning, lake fog covered all of Lake Ashi’s surface, creating an incredibly beautiful, dreamlike scene. We made coffee again in our room and enjoyed it together on the balcony—it truly felt like a luxurious time.

It’s an older Hotel, but it was thoroughly cleaned and very comfortable. I’ve seen many large Hotels with beautiful exteriors that were covered in dust, so I’m truly glad I stayed here this time. I chose the plan with breakfast, and enjoyed the variety of side dishes, mainly Japanese-style. If I come to Mishima again, I’d love to stay here again!

We stayed here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We booked the Anniversary Plan, and in short, it was a truly wonderful stay that made us genuinely glad we chose to spend her special day here. What impressed us first was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. From arrival throughout our stay, everyone treated us with such warmth and care that we felt completely at ease. And above all, the food was exceptional. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious—not just tasty, but beautifully presented in a way that truly felt like “a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.” Each course made us excited for what would come next, and we enjoyed every moment of mealtime. As part of the Anniversary Plan, we also received many thoughtful touches. They prepared a carved watermelon with the character “Kotobuki” (meaning “celebration/long life”), offered an extra dish on the house, and even gave us a commemorative gift. Every gesture made us happy and felt like they were celebrating my wife’s birthday together with us. Our Room had an open-air bath and a terrace, which allowed us to relax as a couple without worrying about anyone around us—something we really appreciated. In addition, as an IKYU Diamond member benefit, champagne and Shine Muscat grapes were prepared in our Room as well. This was another delightful service. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive as dinner—not only in flavor but also in presentation—leaving us satisfied until the very end. Most importantly, my wife was truly happy during this trip—that meant everything to me. On such a special occasion—a birthday—we were able to enjoy amazing cuisine, warm hospitality, and unhurried time together as a couple. This is an Accommodation that made us sincerely feel: “We’re so glad we chose this place.” Thanks to all of your staff, it became a memorable and wonderful birthday for both of us. Thank you very much. We would love to return again for another important anniversary.

Three of us—women around our 60s—booked this inn, which does not allow guests aged 13 or under. We were able to relax and enjoy a calm, elegant stay. The hot spring water was the silky, skin-softening Ureshino Onsen we had hoped for. Our room had a bath, but we also used the large public bath and were able to enjoy it privately without encountering other guests. All staff members greeted us with smiles and treated us with great care, which was wonderful. The interior is chic, and we also appreciated the well-stocked complimentary drinks service in the lobby. Next time, we’d like to visit with our family.

We had a very comfortable stay. The Room we stayed in was the Comfort Extra Twin. Within its compact size, it features a bathroom with a washing area, a separate toilet, and a washbasin. Shoes are not allowed on the floor inside the Room. It was perfect for those who don’t need a large, luxurious Room and want to keep costs down, but still want to relax in the bath and use the toilet without feeling self-conscious. One small note: since there is only a curtain separating the beds from the washbasin area (i.e., the changing space), some guests may find it bothersome. For us, as a family traveling with small children, it didn’t bother us at all. Other nice perks included borrowing manga to read, an on-site coin laundry, welcome drinks, and good value benefits.

This time, I knew my schedule early and made a Reservation using the early-bird discount, so I was able to stay at a very reasonable rate. On top of that, they even upgraded our Room—it was truly wonderful. The all-inclusive plan, the thoughtful touches throughout the property, and fun ideas like making your own parfait for dessert after meals were everywhere, and I found it impressive. If I had to mention a few points: the lounge had become more of a children’s play area and wasn’t very relaxing; although the floors are tatami-mat style, it was a bit hard to walk on and I wished there were slippers; and while the key is cute, I’m used to auto-lock doors so having to lock it manually felt like an extra step. Still, their hospitality was truly outstanding.

Dinner was pork shabu-shabu, so I was a little worried, but there was more variety than I could finish, and everything was delicious—I was able to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. The breakfast buffet also had so many options that I couldn’t possibly try them all. The pudding was especially good. The staff were very kind, and I had a comfortable stay. Since guests walk barefoot inside the building, tabi socks were provided, but it would have been nice to have slippers as well. My son lives nearby on his own, so I plan to visit Yamagata about twice a year and would like to stay here again next year.

Stayed in August 2026. We debated between here and nearby Noboribetsu Onsen, but choosing this place was absolutely the right decision. To start with, the front desk staff were wonderful. Our check-in ended up being delayed due to traffic, and when I called to let them know we might be a little late, they kindly said, “Take your time. Please travel safely,” which made us feel very welcome. The hot spring water was excellent—my skin felt moisturized after bathing, and my body stayed warm for a long time. The food quality was also outstanding; dinner in particular featured an impressive variety of dishes made with local ingredients, and we were extremely satisfied. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

Although I checked in late, the staff assisted me courteously. It was my first stay at a Route Inn Hotel, and it was a good experience—the Business Hotel breakfast was delicious.

The area was very quiet, the Room was spacious, and the bath was large and relaxing. The meals were also delicious. We would love to stay again.

This Hotel is directly connected to Iyotetsu Matsuyama-shi Station, which was convenient since I planned to take an express bus the day after my stay. The Room and the large public bath were both very clean and well maintained. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which included local specialties (Uwajima-style sea bream rice and five kinds of mandarin orange juice). Since I enjoyed Onsen at Dogo Onsen Honkan, I only needed a place to stay and a good breakfast, so I was very satisfied and felt it offered great value for money.

Conveniently located, reasonably priced, and kept very clean throughout the Facility. It’s also nice to be able to move around the Facility, including the dining area, in Room wear. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I enjoyed a well-balanced and satisfying meal. I will continue to stay here in the future.

With a typhoon forecast to hit directly, we decided on the Sheraton right away. Thanks to that, we stayed dry and could respond based on the latest information, which gave us peace of mind. We were upgraded to a Room and had a very relaxing stay. Breakfast was all delicious with locally sourced ingredients—especially the freshly made rice balls, which were outstanding.

The meals were delicious, just as the Review said. I felt the Facility was also quite clean. Considering the price, I think it’s a very good Accommodation. The young foreign woman who brought our dishes also smiled and waved to our children. It was a great Accommodation. We’d like to stay again.

I was grateful for the reasonable price despite it being Silver Week. The bathroom and toilet were clean, which was great. The basic amenities were provided, so there were no issues. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

All Rooms are detached and each has a different style with a private open-air bath, so you can spend your stay without seeing other guests. The meals were also excellent, featuring Yamaguchi specialties such as fugu sashimi and kawara soba. The staff were kind and pleasant.\nI would like to stay in a different type of Room next time.\nThe entrance is hard to find, so you should call before arrival to arrange pickup.

I have stayed here several times. The atmosphere throughout the Hotel is wonderful, and it feels truly comfortable, with thoughtful attention to even the smallest details. I also love the little extras during my stay, such as drinks in the refrigerator and light snacks and beverages in the lounge. It’s not overly flashy, so I can relax, and every time I stay I’m reminded how great this Hotel is. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Kyoto.

All of the staff provided pleasant and courteous service. The meals were also delicious. I would like to stay here again next time.

It was a wonderful Accommodation that exceeded my expectations. The property was quiet, with a slow, relaxing pace of time—an atmosphere that lets you forget everyday life. The Room was spotless and beautifully maintained, and the open-air bath attached to the Room had excellent water quality and was so comfortable I wanted to soak in it again and again. There is also a large public bath, but I think you’ll be more than satisfied with the bath in your Room alone. The meals were carefully prepared using mainly locally sourced ingredients, and everything was delicious. In addition to the Room, there were thoughtful touches such as a footbath and complimentary drink service, making our stay feel truly luxurious. I’d love to visit again in a different season next time.
