I stayed at the accommodation for the first time in early September. Although I was a bit anxious as the route to the accommodation was slightly difficult to find, it was located deep inside Yoro Park, and I felt relieved when warmly welcomed by the owner-chef despite the rain. We were lucky to be the only guests staying that day, allowing us to enjoy a very relaxing and leisurely time with both meals and a private bath. The meals we had been looking forward to since making our reservation were served at just the right temperature and portion size, and everything was absolutely delicious—simply perfect! The sashimi, Hida beef, hoba miso, salt-grilled ayu fish, and jellyfish dish were especially outstanding. In today’s world where "cleanliness and convenience" are often taken for granted, this retro Showa-era style building may have had some minor inconveniences due to its age; however, it is clear that great care has been taken in its upkeep, which left a very positive impression on us. It had been a long time since my spouse and I enjoyed such quality time together—soaking in a bath side by side while savoring delicious food paired with local sake. Listening quietly to the sound of rain outside through the window made for an unforgettable experience. It reminded me how important it is to spend moments like these from time to time. Thank you so much! We will definitely come again!

I stayed here in July 2026. 【Room】 A Japanese-style Room where you can hear the gentle sound of the river. The spacious two-room layout was very comfortable. Everything was well cleaned. 【Meals】 I chose the 200 g Hida beef steak, and it was truly outstanding—absolutely delicious. I was very satisfied. 【Bath】 It is not an Onsen, but it felt new and very clean. It could be reserved for private use. The tub was large enough for about 3–4 people, the water temperature was just right, and I could relax. It seemed that morning bathing was not available. 【Service】 The proprietress was very friendly and pleasant. Her service was polite, and I had a comfortable stay. 【Facilities & Amenities】 Everything essential was provided. The bath, toilet, and washbasin area were shared. 【Points to Note】 There was no mirror in the Room, so if you need one for makeup or similar purposes, it may be best to bring your own. 【Overall】 The dinner steak in particular was excellent, and overall I had a satisfying stay. Great value for money—I would definitely like to stay again if I have the chance.

Both dinner and breakfast are packed with ingredients from Ibaraki! Every dish is carefully prepared and feels truly luxurious. The location is wonderful, and the Accommodation is warm-hearted, welcoming you with a heartfelt “Welcome back.” We’ll be back again! It was just one night, but it made us want a Multiple Night Stay. We’re looking forward to next time.

It was a midsummer stay. The room was already cool at check-in, and we really appreciated that the air conditioning had been turned on in advance. We were also pleasantly surprised by the delicious breakfast bread, jam, and fruit. Compared with other vacation rentals we’ve stayed at, this level of thoughtfulness is rare, so we were genuinely impressed.

Having grown up in the mountains of Nagano Prefecture, I love dishes made with wild mountain vegetables and river fish. The meal we were served here was far more delicious than I ever imagined. I enjoyed each dish with wide-eyed delight. Thanks to the Ryokan owner’s thoughtful consideration, we were able to reserve a private bath time, and my spouse and I could relax together in the Onsen. We plan to visit again in autumn.

We visited recently as a family. The Facility was well maintained and very clean, and the Room was also spotless and well cleaned. The futon was high quality, and we were very satisfied. Dinner was generous in portion size; we grilled and ate Bungo beef and Toyo Shamo chicken, both wonderfully firm in texture and truly delicious. The staff were excellent as well—we will definitely be back. We look forward to staying again next time.

From the moment we walked through the gate, the place was filled with cat-themed goods, with lots of adorable items everywhere. The tableware and glasses were lovely, and even breakfast was cute—and delicious. We enjoyed it fully from arrival until bedtime, and again in the morning. The bath was private and very spacious, so we could relax comfortably and recover from our travel fatigue. It was also perfect timing—we were happy to see so many fireflies. Everyone was kind, and we were able to unwind at a very relaxed pace.

I stayed from New Year's Eve to New Year's Day to see the first sunrise of the year. The location was excellent, with a stunning ocean view right in front. While some of the facilities showed signs of age, the accommodation overall was clean and well-maintained. As for meals, they were hearty and absolutely delicious, living up to the reputation of this accommodation. The food was so good that it made me want more rice! However, I recommend avoiding snacks before meals as you might not be able to fully enjoy such a wonderful feast if you're too full. I would love to stay here again not only during New Year but also in summer!

We had a wonderful auberge experience exactly as we’d imagined, and we were very satisfied. Thoughts on the triple Room (not mentioned in other Review): - The tabletop mirror prepared on the desk—also useful as an accessory tray—was extremely convenient for the three of us traveling together to get ready. - The toilet floor was tiled with a drain, and it felt exceptionally clean. - The loungewear wasn’t overly softened with fabric softener and felt smooth and comfortable. I think even those who dislike fragrances could wear it. - We stayed in February, and the sheets were pleasantly soft and slightly moist to the touch. Perhaps thanks to the mattress pad, nothing shifted at all, so we didn’t need to readjust the bedding until morning. Among Resort Hotels on Okinawa’s main island, Business Hotels, and long-established sightseeing hotels back home (in another prefecture) that we’ve used in recent years, this was our favorite. Ryukyu Ganebu wine and the cuisine, a charming Room, and warm hospitality—it was a truly lovely experience that felt like being shown one by one the treasures gained through all the challenges and adventures the owner couple have accomplished so far. I’m glad we chose “Tears” as our first wine toast with our daughters who have only recently become adults. It has become a precious wine tied to special memories, and we’re really looking forward to returning someday to toast here again. I was able to relax and spend time at a leisurely pace surrounded by nature. We could park the car right next to the building, which made loading and unloading luggage very convenient, and we even saw deer along the way. For dinner, I wanted to eat at CAFE Erina, so I chose the hamburger steak. It was delicious and very filling. The next morning, after heading into town to see the morning mist, I enjoyed the private open-air bath, then had breakfast in the Room while taking in the view—it was truly amazing. I’d love to stay again. I stayed in that Room.

We used this Accommodation to go to Meiho Ski Resort. Many Reviews said the food was delicious, so we were really looking forward to it. It truly was delicious—felt like we had a really good meal for the first time in a while. Next time, I’d like to try a different meal option; I’m sure it will be great as well. Thank you very much. The toilets are shared among guests, but they were clean. The bath can be reserved for private use when it’s available, so our family was able to relax and enjoy it.

I chose this Accommodation based only on the cost and Reviews, but the Onsen and meals were excellent.

I visited for a stay after skiing at Hoonoki-daira Ski Resort. The open-air cypress bath made by the owner's father was very pleasant, and I enjoyed it twice, at night and in the morning. I really liked the temperature of the water, its size, and the view. The food was also very delicious, and we ended up drinking too much sake, but both my wife and I were very satisfied. With skiing, onsen, and delicious meals, this is a property I definitely want to visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals, carefully selected coffee, and the friendly hospitality of the owner couple, which made our family of three feel truly comfortable. They asked about our plans and gave us a discount voucher for the Marunuma Kogen Gondola, and also marked on a map a great tofu shop, a place known for tasty maitake mushrooms, and a soba restaurant—so we were able to head home in high spirits.

The Onsen accommodation was excellent except for the outdoor bath having a cover and the volume of breakfast. The heartfelt cuisine, in particular, was truly impressive.

This time, I stayed with a friend. Due to the earthquake, there were fewer tourists, so the Onsen town felt a bit quiet, but the Accommodation had a warm, homey atmosphere and the staff were kind, making it very comfortable to stay. The meal was my first irori kaiseki dinner; it was delicious and very filling. However, during our Onsen-hopping, several places were closed, which was the only disappointment.

I finally got to visit Hinokuma, a place I had always wanted to go! The owner was very kind and welcoming, even towards children. Our child had the opportunity to try various activities and we all had a wonderful time. We also ordered the paid pizza option. The pizza came with four large servings and generous toppings—our whole family was full! According to the owner, they offer the pizza without any profit. (Indeed, at other campsites, just renting a pizza oven costs over 4,000 yen, but at Hinokuma it’s only 3,000 yen per family including ingredients, preheating for over an hour beforehand, and cooking. So affordable!) It’s rare to have such a highly satisfying experience like this. This is truly a one-of-a-kind accommodation. We will definitely visit again. Thank you so much!

I’m not good with the cold, so I was a bit worried about how warm the Room would be, but there was a heater and a kotatsu, and they even provided a hot water bottle for sleeping, so I stayed very comfortably. Also, I didn’t know that access to nine different hot springs was included, but they were all fun and I was completely satisfied. Breakfast was delicious as well, and I truly had a wonderful time. Highly recommended Accommodation. Thank you very much.

We took a one-night family trip with our second-grade son. Just as the high ratings suggest, we’re glad we chose this Accommodation. The staff were very kind, and the food was so delicious it made us say “wow.” Our child was happy playing with the provided toys and games. Also, the chilled barley tea prepared in the Room was a nice touch. The scenery felt like being in the middle of a forest. However, in the bathroom, the blinds blocked any view outside, and we were a bit concerned about stains on the white wooden slatted mat. We made great memories exploring a limestone cave (there was a 100-yen discount coupon per person at this Accommodation), having lunch at the restaurant by Okutama Lake Dam the next day, and enjoying our train trip. Every dish prepared by the owner was delicate and delicious. We were especially impressed by the boat platter of Seki mackerel. The Accommodation staff, dressed in clean black outfits, gave a neat and professional impression. Although it is a two-story building, there is an elevator, showing thoughtful consideration for guests with limited mobility. The private bath had a charming atmosphere and was wonderful. The water temperature was just right for Kannawa Onsen (no added water needed). They served draft beer (with edamame) to our Room. Their phone support was accurate and courteous. We found it comfortable that they maintained an appropriate distance from guests without being overly friendly. This is an Accommodation where you can feel genuine hospitality, and we would like to visit again.
