It was an accommodation beyond expectations. A luxurious space with the exclusivity of one group per day and a whole building rental, featuring a spacious room enhanced by exposed beam ceilings, and surrounded by Japanese-modern furniture, lighting, and decor. Both dinner and breakfast were not only delicious in taste but also visually stunning. We enjoyed these refined dishes on a solid single-slab wooden table. I wonder how many times I said "delicious" or "beautiful." The conversation with the owner-chef, who has a unique background, was incredibly interesting and enjoyable. Yunotsuru Onsen won first place again this year in the Hidden Hot Springs & Famous Hot Springs category for the Kyushu-Okinawa area at the Onsen General Election 2025. The hot spring water at Tsurunoya felt like a silky beauty serum that women would love. Moreover, it is luxuriously offered as free-flowing natural hot spring water in a cypress bathtub for you to enjoy. Additionally, guests can also bathe for free at nearby partnered accommodations' onsens—a delightful perk for onsen enthusiasts. Without TVs or clocks to distract you from daily life’s hustle and bustle, this stay offered an extraordinary escape into tranquility—making it an incredibly luxurious two-day-one-night experience in every sense. I hope to visit again soon!

The meals were very delicious.

Great value and satisfying meals even during the Obon holiday period. A Hotel I can recommend. The bath amenities were plentiful, but it was a shame it wasn’t an Onsen—still, the water was very nice.

This was my third stay, and as always I was very satisfied with the meals, the baths, and the hospitality. The dinner in particular felt like a course meal, which made it enjoyable to savor at a relaxed pace. Being able to enjoy a variety of wines and sake with the coin system was also a real treat for anyone who loves alcohol. They also provided guidance on recommended spots for firefly viewing, and I was able to see countless fireflies dancing in the night. The mornings and evenings were cool, so the duvet came in handy. I would love to stay again.

The Room was stylish and made me feel a bit like a celebrity. There were several bathing options—a private bath in the Room, an open-air bath in the guest Room, and a reservable private open-air bath—and all of them were exceptionally comfortable. The food and drinks were incredibly delicious, making it a wonderful, fun experience and an absolutely happy feast.

Booked a great-value room at the last minute. There is an Onsen, free tea in the lobby, and all the staff were very helpful. They also introduced us to the stone-paved streets of Ochiai, which made our trip very fulfilling. Thank you.

It's been a year since my last visit. As with the previous time, I thought the breakfast was amazing, but this time I was surprised to see that local dishes were also included. The Hotel is clean and has been renovated as well. If I had to mention something, the walls are thin! I could hear loud snoring from the next room. Other than that, I had no issues during my stay.

We stayed as three families and booked three villas. Each villa had a lovely Room, and we had a very comfortable stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks at the management building were also a nice touch. Since it was still a bit early for ocean activities, we brought our own fishing gear and relaxed. The staff kindly arranged the setup so all three families could dine together, and we had a great time sharing BBQ, bouillabaisse, and sushi. We were worried dinner might not be enough, so we bought extra meat beforehand, but it turned out to be more than enough—everything was delicious. The clam miso soup served with the sushi was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also stylish, with bagels as the main item on the plate, and it tasted great. However, for children who don’t like bagels or for my father who has dental issues, they were too hard to eat—so it would be nice to have a choice of several options such as croissants or French toast. The yogurt was plain with no sweetness, so fruit yogurt or jam served on the side would be appreciated. The Room was comfortable overall, and both the beds and futons felt wonderful. One small inconvenience was that there wasn’t a place to hang bath towels; having one behind the sink would be helpful. There were hangers and a rack, but once we hung jackets and clothes it was full. Since swimwear is required in Rooms with an outdoor bath, I think additional hangers and space to dry wet swimsuits are necessary. I’ve noted some points here, but overall this was an excellent Accommodation and we would love to visit again. All staff members were kind and responded thoughtfully to our requests. The bath was a relaxing jacuzzi. The view from the Room was also wonderful—since it was a corner Room, two sides were floor-to-ceiling glass, giving a great harbor-town atmosphere.

The food, the bath, and the view from the bath were all outstanding. The staff were also very polite and kind, which we really appreciated. While we were having a barbecue, an incredibly cute, friendly cat with limited mobility came over—it was so comforting. If possible, we hope the staff can take it in and make sure it gets proper food.

Once again, I had a relaxing and comforting stay. The view from the large window, the warm personality of the host, and the thoughtful details in the room make this accommodation flawless. I travel to Okinawa just to spend time here. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your hospitality the other day. I had a wonderful stay at IZM during my first visit to Ishigaki Island! Since my goal was to relax, it was perfect and very comfortable. The accommodation was in excellent condition, both exterior and interior, and it’s hard to believe it has been 15 years. The decor was also lovely. Being within walking distance of the city center made it very convenient to quickly buy food or souvenirs I wanted. I even got to meet the island cats you told me about, enjoy the pleasant sea breeze, and indulge in tropical fruits—making this a truly fulfilling trip for which I am deeply grateful! I hope to stay at IZM again when I visit Ishigaki in the future. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your kind assistance from notifying us about the cancellation of our flight due to weather the day before, to handling the keys on the day. The pool and room were clean, and the sauna was excellent.

We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s birthday. Our Room was on the 1st floor and built in a semi-basement style, so the greenery felt refreshing and relaxing. However, staying with a dog comes with a lot of luggage, so carrying everything was a bit tough. We also used a stove guard as a substitute to prevent our dog from dashing out. The Room had a simple, natural vibe and was compact yet tastefully designed. The open-air bath had a pleasant sulfur scent, and we were able to soak and relax. It would be helpful to have a rod for lowering the roll curtain—climbing onto the bench to pull it down feels unsafe. At night, insects are attracted by the light, so we turned off the light while bathing; if you’re not comfortable with that, it’s better to use it in the morning or while it’s still bright. Going from the shower booth through the living area to reach the open-air bath felt slightly awkward (lol). Meals were prepared in an easy-to-manage way, and all seasonings were provided, which was convenient. It was our first time trying this kind of stay and we had a great time. Lastly, taking out the trash was a bit difficult. There was quite a lot of trash left in the bathroom bin as well, so we threw it away together; I think it would be good for guests to check carefully since it’s easy to forget. The value for money was great, and having an 11:00 check-out time was nice. There aren’t many Hotels with such a lovely atmosphere where you can stay with your dog, so I really appreciated that the design didn’t feel different from regular Rooms. Thank you very much.

As a regular sauna lover, I stayed here looking forward to the wood-burning sauna, and it exceeded my expectations! Being able to do löyly whenever I wanted in the wood-burning sauna, then stepping outside for that icy “wow” moment—it was incredibly fun! Since it was midwinter in Nasu, I was worried about the cold, but after warming up in the sauna, it wasn’t an issue at all. We cooked using the wood stove, chatted while watching the flames, and whenever we got chilly we either soaked in the Onsen or warmed up a bit in the sauna even with our clothes on. Before we knew it, we had spent most of our time outdoors. Being able to enjoy Nasu’s Onsen was a huge plus! It has some of that camping feel, but with proper indoor toilets and showers—so it felt like living in an outdoor living room. It was a nature experience unlike anything I’ve had before. The Room was spotless, and the building design is beautiful. Falling asleep while looking out at the trees and starry sky through the large windows felt truly special. This time I came with friends and had a great time talking around the campfire, but next time I’d love to bring my kids and enjoy it as a family!

The room was spacious and very clean. A more powerful dryer would be helpful for Multiple Night Stays.

We stayed in the main cottage for three nights. The Facility and Room layout were very comfortable and easy to use. It makes sense that the owner is an architect. This is an Accommodation we would like to stay at again.

We were truly impressed by the hostess’s warm and wonderful personality. The Room, toilet, and bath were all kept very clean, so we had a comfortable stay. She also recommended a popular local bakery, which we were able to visit. We even got to see her daughter in a yukata, which added an extra touch of charm to the summer fireworks. If we have the chance, we would love to visit again.
