Station Hotel Shingu

I stayed here the day before the Nachi Taisha Fire Festival.I had seen in Reviews that the Room was small, so I put up with it. The front desk staff were kind.The nearby izakaya they recommended was delicious, and there’s also a convenience store close by. There were as many as four EV chargers, and they were fast enough to reach a full charge by morning. The freezer compartment in the refrigerator was very powerful, and I was glad that my ice packs and neck cooler froze perfectly overnight.If it hadn’t been so hot, it would have been an even more enjoyable trip.Next time, I’d like to stay on the day of the Fire Festival.

I stayed here during a rail trip.Since it was close to the station and all I wanted was to shower and sleep, I didn’t have high expectations.The building looked old, and I thought the Room would be small...The unit bath was indeed small, but the toilet had a bidet function, so I had no particular complaints.The Room felt more spacious than the numbers suggest, and the bed was very comfortable.Surprisingly, the Room key was a card type.My west-facing Room had a train view, but perhaps due to seismic reinforcement there was a diagonal beam across the window that got in the way a bit.There were no meals provided, but there is a supermarket and convenience stores about a 5-minute walk away, so it wasn’t an issue.I don’t think I’ll stop by Shingu very often,but if I do, I’d like to stay here again.
