HOTEL R9 The Yard Nagahama

This was my first time staying at a container Hotel, and it was surprisingly comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and the large-screen TV was impressive. The Room had the air conditioner on, so it stayed cool. One light meal was included, and we could choose from five options. Since two of us stayed, we chose the “European-style curry bento” and the “Chicken and lotus root bento.” The other options were meat sauce pasta, yaki udon, and beef pilaf. Both meals were delicious.

It was my first time staying in a container, but it was clean, quiet, and the car was close by, making it easy to carry luggage—overall very comfortable. The complimentary frozen meals were easy to heat up in the Room microwave and tasted good enough. The staff were also very kind and helpful. The beer restaurant within walking distance was great too, and if I come back to Nagahama, I’d like to stay here again. It was sunny that day, but on a heavy rain day it might be a bit difficult getting in and out of the Room? Still, it’s affordable and I’d like to stay again.
