AO Dazaifu

It’s very close to JR Futsukaichi Station, and you can easily walk there even with luggage like a suitcase. A flashy sign that looks like an imitation Thomas is the landmark. The staff member who helped us at check-in was also a foreigner, and they were very polite. The Room feels like a studio apartment. There’s a shoe cabinet, a washing machine, and the toilet is separate; the bathroom is a unit bath. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The closet is also large. There’s a refrigerator, microwave, gas stove, and sink, so you can cook if you want. Detergent for both laundry and dishwashing was provided and we were told to use it freely. The bed is a queen-size low bed. The mattress was as soft as a waterbed—great if you like soft mattresses, but if you prefer something firmer it might hurt your back. There were two full-length mirrors (in the bathroom or on the closet), which was nice for doing hair and makeup, but there wasn’t an outlet near the mirrors when using tools like a hair iron, and there was no extension cord either, so it was difficult to style my hair because I had almost no slack in the cord. An outlet near where the mirror is would be convenient (though outlets around water may be risky). It’s inexpensive, clean, and convenient with a convenience store nearby. I’d like to stay again.

We stayed as a family of five this time. Since check-in was after 5:00 PM, we were given clear instructions in advance on how to check in. The Room was clean and spacious! We had a relaxing time as a family of five. Each person had their own bed, there was a dining table, and we could enjoy breakfast at our own pace. The bathroom area was spacious, with separate toilet and bath facilities, which was very convenient. The towels were incredibly soft and comfortable! If I may suggest one thing, it would be nice to have a hair comb (laughs). The refrigerator had complimentary water inside, and the freezer included an ice tray so we could make ice for our water bottles the next day. When we visit Fukuoka again for travel, we will definitely stay at AO Dazaifu! Thank you very much!
