Okutsu Onsen Ikedaya Kajikaen

Dear Sir/Madam, thank you always for your kind support. During this trip, I stayed at two Accommodations while dealing with an illness. In my 65 years of traveling, what do you think of the way this Accommodation handled the situation?I always follow check-in times, but I arrived 20 minutes early. There was no one at the entrance. A man who seemed to be a representative of the Accommodation came from across the street and said it was still too early, so I should go for a walk around somewhere. Because of side effects from my cancer medication, I have numbness in both legs and can barely walk—yet he said only that and then disappeared.Last month, when I stayed near Wakasa Five Lakes, I arrived two hours early, but they kindly told me to relax until check-in time and treated me warmly.I also question the posted ratings here: how can “Customer Service” be rated 5? And how about the bath? (The hot water itself is good.)For reference, on the following day (the 25th), I stayed in Yumura Onsen at Asanoya—an Accommodation where I have stayed many times and know the proprietress well. There was a clear difference in pricing, service, and meals in every respect; it was a pleasant place that made me want to stay again.How do you verify the reliability of these facility ratings? What about satisfaction with barrier-free access?In any case, impressions vary from person to person, but if there are six categories and five are rated 5 stars here, then in my honest opinion everything would be rated 2 stars.

After a long time since the pandemic, we visited an Onsen accommodation. From our room, we could enjoy the view of a gently flowing river and relax completely. The two staff members at the accommodation who assisted us were both foreigners, but they provided excellent service. The meals were abundant and delicious, almost too much for us as seniors to finish, but we were very satisfied. Upon checkout, one of the staff members from Nepal kindly saw us off with great courtesy, for which we are grateful. We wish both of them success in their future endeavors.
