Shirakabako View Hotel

We stayed with two adults, one 4-year-old, and one 2-year-old.The meals were amazing! Great value for the price, all-you-can-drink alcohol, and they even lent us small forks—very helpful when traveling with kids.Also, when our child insisted on sitting at a table for six in the dining area, a male staff member wearing glasses kindly let us use it.Thank you so much!All of the other staff were pleasant as well.I think it’s more worth staying here than at a Hotel that is simply clean but overpriced!My back usually hurts from sleeping on futons in Japanese-style rooms, but this futon was thicker than those at other hotels, so it helped a bit.Since this is a historic Hotel, there were some areas like cobwebs in the Room and a slightly dirty sink, but I think the quality is more than sufficient for this price. We had no problems during our stay.We’d love to stay again!

Our group of 12—grandparents, our son and his wife, and the grandchildren—stayed for two nights. We made our Reservation in spring and were able to get a lake-view Room. Since we’re an active, sports-loving family, we enjoyed hiking up Kurumayama, running around the lake alongside runners on a training camp, and spending time at Family Land—all in a cool, comfortable climate. The Onsen after an early-morning run was especially wonderful. Compared with our stay 10 years ago, the restaurant menu felt more extensive and higher quality, along with higher prices. The Accommodation now has air conditioning, and all toilets have washlets. The kids had cola and the adults had beer—so even after we got home, our waistlines still haven’t recovered (laughs). We’d love to stay again next summer as well.
