    A Trip to Izumo with My Daughter

    On our long-awaited trip to Izumo Taisha, we flew with a connection and visited Shimane Prefecture for the first time, timed to the final week of my daughter’s vacation. The Hotel was conveniently located near the station and restaurants. In the lobby, there were two kinds of ice cream available anytime, and from 8:00 PM they served gently flavored shijimi clam ramen—my daughter was especially happy about that. The bath was a milky-white silky bath that felt gentle on the skin, and the sauna was great too, but it was a bit disappointing that one of the shower heads in the washing area seemed to be for cleaning use. Still, the Room bed and pillows were excellent. I slept well during sightseeing days and even on our departure day, so we stayed very comfortably. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options; in particular, we both loved making our own monaka filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste or custard cream. The biggest disappointment was the amenities. You choose what you need from beside the front desk; there were many items available, but no toner or lotion, so I had to go all the way to the bath area for them. At least having them in the Room would have been appreciated. Overall though, it was a wonderful Hotel—the kitchen staff as well as everyone else were pleasant and welcoming.

    The spacious Room and breakfast were great.

    It’s very close to the station, and there are many great local restaurants nearby, which makes it very convenient. As it’s still a new Hotel, everything was clean, and the Room was spacious and comfortable. You can tell they focus on the beds—I slept soundly at night. I chose the Japanese set breakfast, and it felt like a modest treat made with local specialties; everything was delicious. I might even prefer this over a buffet since buffets can feel rushed in the morning. I didn’t use them myself, but I could see they offer thoughtful extras such as mini shijimi clam ramen, ice pops, and live piano performances on Saturday nights. I’d like to stay here again when I visit Izumo.

    The accommodation service is appealing.

    I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days on weekdays in September. I drove there, and the location near Izumoshi Station is very convenient (if you come by car, there is a partner parking lot, and you can get a 100-yen discount by completing the procedure at the Hotel front desk). The building felt new, and the lounge, guest rooms, and large public bath were all very clean. The lounge always has free milk ice pops available. The detox water was also delicious. What I liked most was the complimentary service for guests: a probiotic drink in the morning and shijimi clam ramen at night. Many guests were enjoying it. The only slight downside was that there were not many washing stations (about six), so during busy times you may need to wait.

    Reserved a twin room for three adults. We expected an extra bed, but none was provided. We were told that extra beds are installed free of charge only for groups of five or more. We left the room once, paid an additional 3,300 yen, and had it set up. Also, one of the beds had a strong odor. The female receptionist’s smile was wonderful.

    A Comfortable Space

    The Room and windows are large, giving an open feel, and it was very bright—overall a comfortable space. The bed was also spacious and comfortable, and I slept soundly. The spa attached to the Hotel was a bit small, but I felt it was about right for the size of the Hotel. I truly appreciated the complimentary shijimi clam ramen at night, Yakult in the morning, and ice bars available at all times. When I visit Izumo again, I would definitely like to stay here again—and next time I’d like to book with breakfast included.

    The cleaning staff entered the room twice without permission.

    I responded to the Hotel survey, but since I haven’t even received an apology email, I’m writing it here. After check-in, while I was changing in my Room, a cleaner entered without knocking. Because it’s an auto-lock door, it may have been my fault for not locking it since I was about to go out. After that, as I was hurriedly trying to get dressed, they knocked again and then opened the door and came in even though I hadn’t answered. I wasn’t dressed, and having someone enter twice without permission in such a short time left me completely shocked. I considered telling the front desk, but it was a young part-time staff member who likely couldn’t do much. I also didn’t know whether it would be reported to management, so I didn’t say anything at the time. After my stay, I received a survey from the Hotel and responded, but there has been no apology by email or phone from the Hotel. I will never stay here again, and I cannot recommend a Hotel where staff might enter your Room without permission while you are out.

    Great sauna!

    You can warm up thoroughly in the sauna, cool down properly in the cold plunge, and fully relax in the recovery area. In addition, amenities are well stocked, including toothbrushes, razors, exfoliating scrub towels, salted candies, an ultra-cold water dispenser, and ice. The Room is also spacious with a great view—very satisfying.

    I chose this for my trip to Izumo. It’s a new Hotel with a sauna, and I personally found it excellent. Good points - Very close to the station (an easy 5-minute walk) - The Facility is new and clean - (Inspired by Dormy Inn?) A small but nice shijimi clam ramen service - Shirabara-brand ice cream service and a dairy drink service - Sauna available 24 hours, plus a cold bath at 10°C - Onsen available - The staff provide service with smiles - Parcel shipping reception available (also has Yamato Transport cardboard boxes) - Close to popular Izumo spots such as Tsubameya and Wasabi for drinks, and Haneya for Izumo soba Points I’m unsure about - The Onsen was great for adults, but too hot for my elementary-school child… They couldn’t soak up to their shoulders, and my Onsen-loving child was disappointed. - The laundry/dryer power was a bit weak… No other complaints. For a family of four, I think booking two twin Rooms is probably the standard choice.

    Conveniently located near the station and very clean. The front desk staff were friendly, and there were complimentary ice cream and shijimi clam ramen. For breakfast, you can choose Japanese or Western, plus all-you-can-eat options like Izumo soba and shijimi clam soup. Our whole family enjoyed it and was very satisfied. There is also an Onsen, and this is a Hotel we would love to stay at again when visiting Shimane.

    Solo travel

    It was a very hot day, so it was a big help that the hotel was close to Izumo Station! The Room was very clean, the staff service was excellent, and we really enjoyed the complimentary late-night noodles, probiotic drink, and ice pops. It made our trip very satisfying.

    My first day in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture was very comfortable!

    I took the “Super Oki” from Shin-Yamaguchi Station to Izumo City. Just a few minutes’ walk from the station, I found the Hotel easily without getting lost. There are restaurants nearby, which was very convenient. The Room was spacious and very clean. I also enjoyed the large public bath. The staff were pleasant and made my stay comfortable. I would definitely like to stay at this Hotel again. Thank you very much.

    [Non-Smoking] Comfort Twin Room

    I have visited Izumo several times, but this was my first stay here. As other guests mentioned in their Reviews, the bed height and mattress were excellent. I slept very soundly, which is rare for me. Since it is a new Hotel, both the facilities and the Room were very clean. I also enjoyed the breakfast. I would definitely like to stay again.

    Satisfied

    Perhaps it has just been renovated—the Room was clean and spacious. Both the bed and sofa were comfortable. Breakfast was served as a one-plate set, which is rare, and everything was delicious. The location is excellent: close to the station and a Japanese-style café, with a great eel restaurant right in front (especially nice since the area gets quiet if you walk a little farther). The amenities could be improved a bit.

    The large public bath with a sauna is fantastic!

    I visited Izumo during Golden Week for a matchmaking trip. The Accommodation is conveniently located near the station, with plenty of izakayas nearby, so finding dinner was easy. At the station, I was also able to buy lots of souvenirs. Breakfast was delicious, with a choice of Japanese or Western options. They even had Izumo soba—what a treat! There is also a large public bath and a sauna for a refreshing break. I would love to stay here again the next time I visit Izumo. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    The Facility was very clean. I also appreciated the complimentary shijimi clam ramen available in the evening. I stayed with No Meals Included, but I’d like to try the breakfast next time if I have the chance.

    It was a very nice Hotel.

    Although it’s a Business Hotel, I was very satisfied. The Room was clean, there was a large public bath, and the value for money was excellent. The bed in particular was great. It was from a manufacturer that supplies the British Royal Family, and I woke up with no back pain at all. (With most Business Hotel beds, my back usually hurts.) As for meals, I only had breakfast, but it felt a bit small in portion size, so I’m deducting one star.

    Thank you for having us for two days.

    This was my first visit to Izumo. The Hotel’s Facilities were kept very clean, and with a large public bath and sauna, I was able to stay very comfortably. It was also very convenient—about a 5-minute walk from the nearest station—so getting to Izumo Taisha Shrine was smooth. On the second day, I had requested no cleaning, but a bag with loungewear and fresh towels was hung on the doorknob, which was very helpful. Thank you as well to everyone at reception for your kind assistance. I will stay here again next time.

    Spacious Room

    The Room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small, but it wasn’t an issue since there is a large public bath, and the amenities were simple and practical with no unnecessary extras. The mini clam ramen served as an evening service was much appreciated and delicious. We chose a non-smoking Room, but it seemed to have a faint cigarette smell, so we wanted to open the window; however, there was a notice saying that insects may come in, so we decided against it and used the air purifier instead. Since our stay was short, it wasn’t a major problem.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    It was cleaner than I expected, which was great. I’m glad I made the Reservation through IKYU. It was a shame that the overnight-dried blackthroat seaperch at breakfast wasn’t very tasty. Dinner was convenient, with plenty of places to eat nearby. If I come back to Izumo, I’d consider staying here again.

    The room was a spacious twin Room with W beds, providing a comfortable stay. The large public bath was very relaxing. Breakfast featured local ingredients and was delicious. It was great to enjoy Izumo soba freely as well. In terms of service, complimentary tea and drip coffee were always available at the front desk, which was much appreciated. The shijimi clam broth ramen, though in small portions, was incredibly tasty. Although I don't often have the chance to visit the Izumo area, my satisfaction level during this stay was very high.

    The bath has a milky...

    The bath has a milky white color due to the use of bath additives. It felt slippery, and it was hard to tell if the water was clean, making it unsuitable to describe as a spa. Additionally, the nearby parking lot for the Hotel was unavailable, requiring a short walk. This made it challenging to move with a carry-on suitcase in strong wind and rain.

    This was my second A...

    This was my second Accommodation Reservation, and I had a comfortable stay just like the last time. The front desk staff seemed to be from overseas but spoke fluent Japanese and provided polite service. It is close to Izumo City Station, and the parking lot is not far away, so there were no issues. I would like to make a Reservation again when I visit Shimane someday.

    A clean Hotel with a relaxing large public bath

    Stayed for one night when three of us drove from Osaka to Izumo. The parking was free at the partnered lot next to a nearby Lawson, which was very convenient. We stayed in two connecting Double Rooms, and it was spacious. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed clam ramen for dinner. Early in the morning, one of us felt unwell, so we asked the front desk if they had any basic medicine or where we could buy some (since it was early and options were limited). Unfortunately, their response felt a bit cold and disappointing. In the end, we managed to buy travel medicine at a convenience store, so it worked out fine. Looking forward to staying again!

    Located right in front of Izumoshi Station, the first floor has high ceilings and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The Room is simple yet comfortable—an easy place to unwind. The Onsen is open 24 hours, and having a Dyson hair dryer available is a nice touch. Breakfast is delicious and very satisfying, but since there aren’t many cafes nearby, it would be even better if the hotel offered good coffee on-site—even for an additional fee. The shijimi late-night ramen from 8:00 PM is delicious!

    A clean and comfortable Hotel

    The Room was bright and clean, making for a comfortable stay. The bed felt like it had a high-quality mattress, providing excellent sleep. I couldn't try the late-night snack as I wasn't hungry, which was disappointing since I had been looking forward to it. Extending the serving hours might have allowed me to enjoy it. The Yakult after the bath was delicious! Thank you for your hospitality.

    Ideal for visiting Izumo Taisha Shrine.

    I chose to stay here with No Meals Included as I was scheduled to arrive at the Hotel around 10 PM. The atmosphere was casual, and the staff were friendly. The building seemed to be only a few years old, so it was clean and well-maintained. Since I had an early morning, I skipped breakfast and checked out! My stay was short, but it felt sufficient. However, there was no storage space in the guest room, and the affiliated parking lot was a bit far from the Hotel, which made it slightly inconvenient on a rainy day.

    Piano in the Lobby

    Good Hotel. The large public bath with a sauna is especially wonderful. The guest rooms are also nice. However, there is one thing that needs improvement. The piano in the lobby is open for anyone to play, which honestly causes a lot of noise and disturbance. Hotel staff do not intervene at all. Guests are subjected to endless off-key renditions of "Chopsticks." It’s so noisy that it ruins the enjoyment of the complimentary evening shijimi ramen service.
