    The Room was spacious, but...

    The Room had an air purifier, but it still felt a bit musty. The shower booth was also small, and the cleaning was a little rough. It may have been what you’d expect for the price, but it was a bit disappointing. The good point was that it was close to the station.

    Great value for money.

    I sometimes stay here when visiting Shizuoka. It’s not high-end, but it’s inexpensive and perfectly adequate if you just need a place to sleep.

    The location is truly excellent. A Hotel that is extremely convenient for getting around.

    Since my younger brother stayed by booking two Rooms on the same day, I am writing a second Review. This Room is unusual in that it has a balcony, which made it feel more open and comfortable. It is very good for a solo stay. My brother also said he was able to stay comfortably.

    Recommended for guests who value convenience. Ideal for shopping and getting around.

    While planning a trip to Shizuoka and considering Hotels in the city, I decided to stay at Hotel Cityo Shizuoka. Compared with other Hotels, the Room size and Facilities felt a little lacking, but the location is truly excellent. There is a shopping mall right in front, and above all, the terminal is nearby, making it very convenient for taking a bus to the airport or traveling to other areas. If I stay in Shizuoka again, I would definitely like to use it again.

    Stayed in a Deluxe Single Room. The room has a shower only, but it was not an issue. The bedding is slightly thin, and the heater can make the air dry. However, using a humidifier and wearing warm clothes made it comfortable for sleeping.

    Despite requesting a USB socket late at night, the staff kindly responded and brought it to my Room. Thank you very much. The Room was clean, and there was also a terrace, which made me very satisfied. I would like to use this service again.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    Located in the heart of the downtown area, the Hotel is very convenient for shopping and dining. It features a bathroom with a washing area, allowing you to relax in the bathtub. The staff are friendly, and the rooms are clean. It's a Hotel I would love to stay at again.

    It was a very comfortable space.

    This was my first time staying alone at a hotel. I decided on this hotel after checking reviews and photos, but honestly, I made the reservation without fully understanding everything. Because of that, I felt very anxious before arriving. However, thanks to the front desk staff who kindly guided me over the phone until I arrived and continued to check in on me afterward, my worries eased. The amenities were well-prepared. I especially enjoyed the roasted green tea provided. Also, I was concerned about any odors in the room but found no issues at all. Perhaps because my room was located at a corner, I didn’t hear any noise from neighboring rooms—almost eerily quiet! While door opening and closing sounds were audible, it reassured me that there were indeed other guests around. I hope this review serves as a helpful hint for anyone staying here for the first time!

    Room

    The location is good. The bathroom was terrible. Perhaps because the Hotel is old? The smell in the Room bothered me as soon as I entered.

    Shizuoka Revenge Trip

    In October, I was looking for a hotel near the station to revisit places I couldn't go to because it was too hot or bars that were temporarily closed. However, hotels with separate baths were expensive everywhere, so I chose this one, which is a bit of a walk from the Shinkansen station. I was worried about nighttime noise in the downtown area, but it didn't bother us at all. There is a coffee shop nearby that opens at 8 AM, making the location very convenient. The Hotel staff were all kind and took care of our luggage, providing service that was more courteous than expected. There were plenty of free amenities available, and I think women would appreciate the face packs. The only issues were that the bathroom drainage was a bit poor, the glass shelf in the washroom was narrow and slanted, and the washbasin was small, making it difficult to use. However, in today's high-cost environment, it is undoubtedly a valuable Business Hotel. Thank you for your hospitality.

    There are many restaurants nearby, and it has good access from Shizuoka Station.

    The Room is very clean. There is a Matsukiyo on the first floor of the Hotel and a McDonald's in the basement. The surrounding area has restaurants and large commercial Facilities, making it an enjoyable place to stay.
