    Excellent value for money.

    I stayed here after getting off the ferry from Hakodate. I was looking for an affordable Accommodation because I arrived late at night and left early in the morning, so it was very helpful that it was close to the terminal and that parking at a nearby coin-operated lot was inexpensive. Thank you very much.

    It was spacious for an APA Hotel.

    I have stayed at several "APA Hotels" across the whole country, and this one had a relatively spacious Room. The large TV was also a nice touch. However, it was a bit disappointing that I couldn't store my suitcase under the bed. It felt like the Hotel was repurposed from an existing building, with some areas renovated and others not fully updated. As with many renovations, the bathroom and odors had a slightly dated feel to them. The new annex area had washing machines, which were very convenient; however, since they were accessible without Room keys, I wondered if "anyone could take items?" It might be safer if each washing machine and dryer had individual locks or passcodes (though this isn't specific to APA Hotels but just something I noticed).

    First Stay at APA Hotel

    The breakfast was disappointing and far below the standard of other Business Hotels. There were no items worth getting seconds, and no fruits were provided. Despite being in Aomori, Japan's top apple-producing region, there were no fresh apples—only unappetizing apple jelly and bland coffee jelly. The step between the bathroom and the Room is quite high, making it difficult for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. The bathroom faucet was hard to use, making it confusing to get water out. The TV was too large for the size of the Room. Although this is not a Ryokan, only yukata was provided as sleepwear, which made sleeping uncomfortable as it came undone easily. On a positive note, the bus stop to the airport was conveniently close by.

    Is it inevitable given the times...

    The bathroom cups and coffee cups have been replaced with paper cups. While it's understandable from a cost perspective, even the toilet paper was folded into a triangle mid-use. The cost-cutting measures were quite apparent.
