    I’m tired from looking for parking.

    The coin-operated parking lot was too far away on a rainy day. Nearby parking is expensive, and I was exhausted just from searching for a place to park. If you use a coin-operated lot, after 12 hours it switches to an hourly rate, so even if you check in at 7:00 PM, you need to check out before 7:00 AM. With the added parking fee, I also couldn’t afford the 2,000 yen breakfast. There are no rental umbrellas available for getting to the parking lot even when it’s raining. Check-in was automated, but the staff member had their back turned and felt unfriendly—I wish they would learn customer service skills from Starbucks staff. It was my mistake to expect relaxation at this Hotel. It also said that lost items will not be reported unless you contact them. Since the late-night ramen is a great idea, I hope they will visit other highly rated Hotels that offer late-night ramen and study how it’s done.

    Added value for a higher rating

    Overall, we were satisfied thanks to the high added value, such as the Onsen and the substantial breakfast. While we had some minor complaints—such as sloppy bed-making, housekeeping that wasn’t thorough enough, and train noise due to the property being right next to the tracks—the staff were very helpful, which almost made us forget those issues.

    I felt refreshed.

    This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied with both the large public bath and the breakfast. The Room didn’t feel cramped at all, and I was able to relax comfortably. Walking around town was fun, but it was hotter than expected, so I ended up drenched in sweat and completely exhausted. After rinsing off in the large public bath, I really didn’t feel like going back out, so the complimentary late-night soba service was truly appreciated. (The half-size portion was perfect as a light supper after eating out.) At breakfast, I loved being able to enjoy small portions of local specialties, and it felt like a great value. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to stay at again.

    Bath towel

    When I went to the bath on the 12th floor, I didn’t realize the bath towels were under the TV. Someone I shared the elevator with had brought one, so I asked and found out that’s where they were. The towel location might be a little hard to notice.

    I couldn’t sleep.

    Although it is near the railway, this is the first Hotel I have stayed at where the noise of so many freight trains echoed throughout the night. We booked two Rooms, but unfortunately we both ended up sleep-deprived. The seafood at breakfast and the pudding were good.

    This is a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

    I stayed here for sightseeing at Mishima Taisha Shrine and Shuzenji. It was a very clean Hotel, and the front desk staff were extremely courteous. There were complimentary bottled water and jelly in the Room refrigerator. What impressed me most was breakfast. The local specialties, such as Suruga-don and Mishima croquettes, were of course delicious, but what really stood out was that the ladle for serving miso soup was designed for both right- and left-handed use. I’m left-handed myself, and many Hotels don’t consider left-handed guests at all, often providing right-handed-only ladles—practically an enemy to left-handers—so I was genuinely impressed just seeing it. (If it had been a right-handed-only ladle, I would have given the Facility/amenities and meals a score of 1.) Another thing I appreciated: while eating at the counter, I asked if I could move to the far-left seat after the person there had left, and they kindly agreed. Because I’m left-handed, my elbow tends to bump into right-handed diners, so to be honest I’m not great with counter seating. I truly appreciated that consideration, and would like to thank you again. If I had to mention one thing, it would be the in-room TV. You can watch YouTube and sign in with your own account, but each time you exit YouTube you have to sign in again. Maybe that’s standard, but at a Hotel where I stayed previously, once signed in it remained active until check-out, so this felt a bit inconvenient. Also, the remote control seemed slightly unresponsive. That said, it wasn’t really a complaint. As a base not only for Mishima but also for sightseeing around Izushi City and Izunokuni City, I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Meal Satisfaction

    The breakfast was very delicious, and I was satisfied. Although the convenience store is a bit far, you can take care of drinks and meals within the property, and both in the morning and evening, the tea and coffee machines in the lobby were available. The refrigerator had nicely sweet treats and water as well, which was thoughtful. The Room felt a bit dry, so I borrowed a humidifier. If left on overnight it was a little noisy, so I would appreciate it if this could be considered if possible. It was also possible to change the size of the loungewear upon request, but there was no notice anywhere, so I ended up looking around for it.

    The Onsen is excellent.

    I really appreciated that the Onsen was available all night. Since I had been drinking late and had an early departure in the morning, it helped me recover from my fatigue. Breakfast also offered a great variety and high quality.

    The price seems to have gone up a bit, and the rooms and amenities are kept as simple as possible, but they are sufficient. The meals have a good reputation, and overall I was satisfied.

    I had a very relaxin...

    I had a very relaxing stay. I enjoyed using the sauna and cold bath multiple times. At dawn, I bathed while admiring Mount Fuji, which made me feel wonderful.

    Natural Onsen and Clean Facilities

    I was surprised to find a natural Onsen in a Business Hotel. Moreover, I was fully satisfied with the view of Mount Fuji and the sunset while bathing. The entire hotel is clean, and the Room was well-maintained. I hope this level of cleanliness continues. I would love to stay here again on my next business trip to Mishima.

    You can use it with confidence.

    You can relax as you can go to the Onsen in loungewear and slippers. The specialty "Yonaki Soba" is served in a half-size portion, making it easy to enjoy. For breakfast, the local delicacies such as soy-marinated tuna and freshly boiled whitebait were so delicious that I had seconds.

    The room was spacious and very relaxing.

    After walking all day, we were able to relax our tired bodies in the Onsen, and the Room was more spacious than expected. It might depend on the staff, or perhaps we were too exhausted to notice the details, but it would have been nice if we were informed verbally about the free coffee service or post-bath services during check-in. Now that we know about the services, we would love to stay here again if we visit Mishima.

    This property features a large public bath and an open-air bath for guests to enjoy. We kindly ask all visitors to follow proper bathing etiquette, such as washing your body before entering the bath, rinsing off sweat after using the sauna, and refraining from submerging your head in the water. Please also avoid loud noises or inappropriate behavior in shared spaces. Let’s work together to maintain a pleasant environment for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    There was some trash, but everything else was satisfying!

    I stayed in a non-smoking twin Room. When I pulled out the desk chair, I found four pieces of transparent film, likely backing paper from something like a Salonpas patch, on the carpet. Although they were transparent with green text, they were noticeable enough that proper cleaning should have caught them—disappointing. There was also black tape-like trash on the bathroom floor. Aside from these issues, I could see Mount Fuji slightly from the window, enjoyed complimentary ice cream after bathing, and found free jelly in the refrigerator—a signature Dormy Inn touch that made my stay very satisfying. The sound of trains was a bit noisy, but you can easily take photos of Mount Fuji and Shinkansen trains from the Room window, which train enthusiasts would surely appreciate.

    Only one big problem

    The meals, bath, and staff service were all excellent. However, the Room smelled like foreign perfume, which made me feel unwell. I tried to endure it, thinking I might get used to it, but the nausea didn't subside. I might have mentioned it, but I was too tired and didn't want to be a complainer, so I didn't say anything. I would like the person making the bed to either thoroughly deodorize or designate a Room specifically for foreigners. Alternatively, I would appreciate it if there were an English sign saying "Please do not spray perfume in the Room." Everything else was wonderful, which made this aspect all the more disappointing.

    For solo travelers,

    I travel alone several times a year. I used this hotel chain in various locations this year. I can stay comfortably and securely in many aspects. However, this time my room was on the side along the railway, so I was bothered by the sound of trains at night. Other than that, it is a consistently wonderful hotel.

    Very satisfied with the breakfast and hot springs.

    As it is a business hotel, it's understandable that the amenities are minimal, but it's a bit disappointing. However, the room, though small, is easy to use, the hot spring is nice, and the post-bath ice cream and Yakult service is thoughtful. The lobby offers free tea and coffee, and I was surprised by the extensive breakfast. Moreover, the taste is good. I understand why it's popular.
