    Highly satisfied

    This was my first trip to Kumamoto, and I stayed here. What surprised me most was the front desk staff’s customer service—very polite, calm, and attentive without being pushy. It was on par with high-level Hotels in Tokyo—if anything, it felt even warmer and more comfortable. Specifically: the way they greeted us upon arrival, their thoughtfulness, and service tailored to each guest’s situation. (When we arrived in Kumamoto, it was raining heavily and we gave up sightseeing, so we reached the Hotel a bit early. Even then, they immediately brought us towels and helped us with the check-in process.) They also greeted us with smiles when we went out in the evening and in the morning. Their attentiveness at checkout as well. I truly felt they were professionals. Both the Room and the bath were completely satisfying. I would love to stay here again when I visit Kumamoto. Thank you very much.

    It was not satisfactory.

    I stayed here during a year-end trip. While the low price was appreciated, I found some hygiene issues. The humidifier provided had mold in the water tank, making it very dirty. Additionally, the built-in bidet toilet seat was wobbly and seemed unstable, as well as somewhat unclean. Considering that many families with children stay here, I hope more attention can be given to cleanliness and maintenance.

    A charming Ryokan

    We had a very relaxing stay. The Onsen is located on the top floor, but as it is in a residential area, there is no view. The area around the bathtub is covered with tatami mats, making it non-slippery and gentle on your feet. The water temperature was just right and very pleasant. We enjoyed breakfast with a wide variety of options to choose from. We were delighted to have Taipeiyan (Taipien). It was a charming place that gave us a nostalgic Showa-era vibe.

    Comfortable!

    The tatami mats in the large public bath are interesting! Your feet don't get cold. It was great because it's winter. There are also many types of amenities in the bathhouse. The breakfast menu is extensive and everything was delicious. I ate too much out of greed and even skipped lunch. Thank you very much.

    This was about my fo...

    This was about my fourth stay. Personally, I find the location very good and the bath is nice, but this time, the response from the man at check-in was not great. Regarding detailed bath times, breakfast times, and locations, even when I was confused while taking amenities, he didn't offer any help, which was disappointing for the first time. Also, the area under the desk of the room's TV was full of dust. I was surprised. I wonder if it was because I made the reservation online. I think I will continue to use it, so please be careful.
