    Why is it listed on IKYU?

    Due to budget constraints, I made a reservation here despite the high prices caused by inbound demand. Located in the lively Daimyo area, it's convenient for dining and entertainment, but the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. The facade, lobby, and reception have a decent atmosphere. However, there’s a sign at the amenity corner in the lobby stating "No deodorizing spray available for rooms. Please ask at the front desk if needed." A business hotel without deodorizing spray? This raised concerns about cost-cutting as I headed to my room. As expected, while not dirty, the room was old and lacked any welcoming touch. Basic amenities like a TV and kettle were present but felt uninviting overall. The electric toilet seat in the unit bath seemed outdated enough to be an artifact from another era. Towels were carelessly tossed on top of the bed as if it was an afterthought. The Wi-Fi connection was poor (or rather slow), making it more efficient to tether my laptop using my mobile phone's data. Without turning on bedside lights, the room remained dimly lit—making me dread staying here for two nights. While taking an elevator down to meet clients for dinner in the lobby, I noticed a prominently displayed emblem of a poorly reputed REIT investment corporation. At that moment, everything clicked into place: "Ah yes... that explains it." Unlike brands like "MyStays" under Fortress that introduce innovative restaurants or excellent bathing facilities—this is quite its opposite. If dissatisfied with this stay, one could simply choose not to return next time; however—and this is puzzling—why would such accommodation even be listed on IKYU.com? There are many platforms introducing accommodations out there; yet what sets IKYU apart is its reputation for high-quality accommodations or ensuring excellent rooms even when properties themselves may not stand out otherwise. As someone who uses IKYU.com precisely because of these standards—it’s questionable why this hotel is listed at all on their site and feels problematic overall. It would be worth having them review such cases thoroughly firsthand!

    Neither good nor bad.

    Due to the impact of inbound tourism, it feels like "this price for this Hotel..." but it's neither good nor bad. I felt a bit conflicted seeing foreign guests taking a large amount of amenities from the front desk area.
