    A special Route Inn?

    I often use Route Inn for short trips. I was looking forward to staying at Route Inn Grantia this time, but at check-in I didn’t realize I needed to take off my shoes and put them in a locker. While I was looking around, the front desk staff instructed me to take off my shoes and pointed at the locker, which made me feel uncomfortable. The bath towel provided in my Room was torn, as if it had been caught in a machine and ripped. Even if it’s for SDGs, it was a towel I wouldn’t use even at home. The next morning, when I walked past the front desk on my way to breakfast, the two women there were absorbed in chatting, so I greeted them first with “Good morning.” However, when I entered the dining area, someone cheerfully called out “Good morning” from the back of the kitchen. All of the dining staff worked efficiently so guests could enjoy breakfast comfortably, and when I tried to carry my finished tray away, they came to collect it for me. What surprised me most was that the oranges were cut into easy-to-eat pieces—something I’ve never even seen at a luxury Hotel buffet. This dining area, with staff capable of such thoughtful attention to detail, is the best among all the Route Inns I have used. Of course, when I left the dining area, I was also greeted with “Thank you” from the back of the kitchen while they continued working.

    I had an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

    As the facility includes an Onsen, I was able to spend a very enjoyable and comfortable time. I heard the tuna is delicious, so next time I would like to take my time and enjoy the meals as well.

    Shoes are not allowed, but the floor is dirty, which is inconvenient.

    You have to take off your shoes when entering, but despite the "no shoes allowed" rule, foreign travelers are dragging a lot of suitcases, and the Yamato Transport staff are pushing carts around, so I think the floor is quite dirty. It says something like "Please take off your shoes and relax," but when I see the floor with no signs of cleaning, I feel a sense of uncleanliness and can't relax at all, so I don't want to take off my shoes.
