    A cozy Accommodation that blends in with Takayama’s townscape

    Conveniently located within walking distance of Takayama Station and the historic streetscape. The moment we stepped inside, we couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow!”—it was truly wonderful. The first-floor area features a large dining table, sofas, and a big-screen TV, and it’s a lovely touch that the spacious kitchen is hidden behind shoji screens. Room partitions are done with shoji screens, and there’s a raised tatami room. The garden can be seen through large windows. There’s also an indoor bedroom reached via a gravel path—an inviting Japanese-style space where you can truly relax. The second-floor bedroom is also spacious, with an adjoining tatami area and even a bench sofa—enough space for one family to unwind comfortably on the second floor alone. There are two sinks as well, and the amenities were great. The bathroom is spacious too, and the shower is very modern and exciting to use. There was also a bathtub ^^ With both a washing machine and a sauna, it was a fantastic Accommodation stay where we could really take our time and enjoy ourselves. It can accommodate an even larger group together, so we’d love to come back again next time.

    An Extraordinary Escape

    We stayed as a family of five. The soothing, out-of-the-ordinary atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was very considerate for our group of four women. Having two sinks was extremely helpful for our teenage children. We were also impressed by the high quality of the amenities and shampoo products. Even though we stayed only one night, our daughters took baths twice. Some Accommodations have a washing machine, but not many provide detergent and fabric softener as well. Even with more sauna and bath sessions during our stay, we could wash and dry towels on-site, so we were able to use clean, comfortable towels every time. The neighborhood is very quiet, so we recommend enjoying a calm and relaxing escape from everyday life at your own pace.

    I stayed here to spend quality time with my family who live far away. The quiet location and walking distance to tourist spots were very convenient. It was my first time renting an entire accommodation, and the moment I stepped in, I couldn't help but say "Wow" at how beautiful the space was. Surrounded by Hida furniture and high-quality amenities, it offered a sense of escape while still feeling cozy.     Enjoy a luxurious accommodation and sauna.

    My family and I, including my wife, our 3-year-old son, and my mother, enjoyed a wonderful stay here during our autumn vacation. The location was excellent, just a 9-minute walk from JR Takayama Station. In the evening, we were able to fully enjoy the charm of the old town streets. The space was beautifully designed with a refined touch that reflects the history and craftsmanship of Hida. The attention to detail in every corner left us deeply impressed. The group sauna was fantastic, with an outdoor jar-shaped cold bath at just the right temperature for cooling down. The combination of sauna chairs for outdoor relaxation made it perfect. The spacious interiors harmonized luxury with comfort, enhanced by soft indirect lighting that created a soothing atmosphere. We also appreciated the use of Aesop amenities throughout our stay. As someone who loves saunas and cold baths followed by outdoor relaxation sessions without any distractions, this place offered an indulgent experience where I could truly unwind anytime I wanted to "reset." It provided ultimate relaxation while combining home-like comfort with an extraordinary sense of escape from daily life—a space where unforgettable memories were made. I would love to return again with family or friends!

    Found a wonderful accommodation.

    We stayed here during a trip to Takayama with my mother, planned as a gesture of gratitude. Wanting to spend some relaxing time, I searched for a nice place and found this one. It exceeded expectations, and my mother was delighted. The lighting, wooden design, and atmosphere were fantastic, making time fly by. Despite being conveniently close to the station, the location is in a quiet residential area—perfect for unwinding. The sofa was lovely, but we ended up spending more time at the beautiful dining table and chairs. The bathroom and washroom were stylish and uplifting. The Room is spacious enough to accommodate large groups comfortably!

    Hida Takayama: Relaxing and Harmonious - A Wonderful Accommodation
