    I was very satisfied!

    We stayed for one night and two days as a couple. Although the Accommodation is located in a tourist area of Takayama, it sits in a quiet residential neighborhood with little traffic and along a small stream, creating a calm atmosphere far removed from the bustle. It is an entire modern house renovated from a traditional home, and we were able to park right next to it. Check-in can also be completed without meeting anyone, which made it feel as reassuring as being at home. The kitchenware, tableware, and amenities are well stocked, so I think you would be fully satisfied even if simply spending time at the Accommodation were your main purpose. It seems there are other similar Accommodations with slightly different concepts, so if I have the chance, I would like to try those as well.

    Recommended Private Rental in Takayama

    When visiting Hida Takayama, be sure to stay at Sumiya Hagakure! Enjoy a relaxing and private time with our whole-house rental. The old streets of Takayama are within walking distance, making the location perfect. The breakfast rice balls were also delicious. This is an accommodation you'll definitely want to revisit!

    A Journey Back in Time

    A nostalgic yet stylishly equipped accommodation where you can fully enjoy an extraordinary space and feel truly relaxed. If I may suggest, it would have been nice to have a TV in the living area on the second floor, though I understand this might be part of the concept of offering an extraordinary experience. The townscape, with its Edo-era atmosphere and charming shops, made for a very enjoyable and memorable stay.
