  My parents were extremely satisfied, and it was the best way to show my gratitude to them.

  We recently learned that the renowned Ryokan Juhachiro, a long-established accommodation representing Gifu, has started operating a new annex. When my parents visited Gifu, instead of staying at their usual hotel across the river, we decided to try this place for the first time. Located slightly north of the old streets of Kawaramachi, this annex is a renovated traditional house with an excellent location—Inaba Mountain and Gifu Castle to the south and the clear Nagara River to the north. Even before entering, we were excited by its charm. Additionally, there is ample parking space for two or more cars adjacent to it, which was especially convenient for my parents in their 70s. Inside, we found a harmonious blend of traditional wooden architecture's serene atmosphere and modern comforts without disrupting its essence. The thoughtful design (perhaps overseen meticulously by the proprietress and her husband?) allowed my parents to enjoy a relaxing and extraordinary experience. On that day, we also celebrated my parents' golden wedding anniversary with dinner as two families. While impressed by the physical aspects of this annex, what stood out even more was the hospitality provided by all staff members. They maintained an appropriate distance while offering warm care and attention that made not only us but also our elementary school-aged son smile throughout our stay. Thank you so much! Although it was just a short one-night stay, as we were leaving, my parents said: "From now on when visiting Gifu—this is where we'll stay!" We look forward to visiting again soon! Thank you very much!
