A Misunderstanding

This review is directed at me, IKYU, and the property. It is true that this property is categorized as a Vacation Rental, but when I searched by location and dates it appeared like any other option, so I made a Reservation with the same expectations as a regular Hotel. I trusted IKYU and booked, but if you are going to list this type of property, I think you should separate the categories more clearly. This is not a Hotel—you're only renting a place—and there was no explanation. It was only when I contacted them one month before check-in that I learned there would be no services such as cleaning. Even so, for eight people staying six nights (Multiple Night Stay), there was absolutely no guidance on how to dispose of trash. There were of course no complimentary tea or coffee packs, and even toilet paper was provided only for the first day. If they had explained in advance that we needed to buy our own toilet paper and I had agreed before booking, I would not complain. On Saturday night during my stay, I emailed the address listed on this property's website to ask about trash handling and toilet paper, but there was no reply even by around 10:00 on Monday. Since there was no choice, I called them; they said they do not use that email address. However, after checking with other staff members, they told me the email had been received.
