    Thank you for the delicious moments on Awaji Island!

    After moving from Yokohama to the Kansai area, we were looking for an Accommodation nearby that offers delicious French cuisine and allows for a relaxed one-night stay. In Yokohama, there were several great places in Hakone—about a 90-minute drive away—serving excellent French or Italian food, but for our anniversary we found and decided to try this place on Awaji Island through IKYU. For dinner, we enjoyed beautifully presented and delicious French dishes made with locally sourced seafood, meat, and vegetables from Awaji Island. As I’ve gotten older, the smell of Wagyu fat has become a bit heavy for me, so I asked if another meat could be substituted. They kindly changed it from Awaji beef to roasted lamb loin, which was excellent. From check-in onward we received pleasant service, and at dinner as well their thoughtful yet unobtrusive attention allowed us to enjoy the meal comfortably—we truly appreciated it. Breakfast was also a wonderful surprise: not a buffet, but served in a full-course style. The Hotel faces the road leading to “Ningen no Mori,” but it sits on a small hill; on the other side is forest. From our Room we could see the trees—it was quiet and very relaxing. The Room feels spacious thanks to its high ceiling despite its size. The property consists of three buildings with only a small number of Rooms in each one, so even though the lounge area is not large, it remained calm. We were able to enjoy wine at ease. Perfect for a short getaway. We also heard that venison is served in winter, so we would love to visit again during that season.

    As expected of an auberge.

    Despite the continued hot weather, the herb garden was beautifully maintained and filled with many flowers and herbs. Both dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared dish by dish—beautifully presented and delicious. Truly worthy of an auberge. We also enjoyed the carefully selected furnishings in the Room and the tableware in the restaurant. Although you wouldn’t expect it from the exterior, the hinoki bath and ReFa shower were wonderful, allowing us to relax completely. Even with many young staff members, the hospitality was outstanding. The vegan cookies in the lounge were so good that I meant to buy some as a souvenir, but I forgot—what a shame. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. We would love to visit again.

    It was very good!

    My first stay on Awaji Island! After a lot of deliberation, I chose “Auberge French no Mori” because it had such highly rated Reviews. I booked the largest twin wide Room. It was quiet at night, and I slept soundly. Best of all was the food! For dinner, I chose Grand Baobab (French × Italian). The dishes were delicious, and the live music during dinner created a wonderful atmosphere—everything was perfect. Breakfast was also a very satisfying course-style meal, with dessert included.

    A cozy, relaxing space

    With nothing around, you can relax and simply gaze at the flowers, forest, and sky. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The staff were also very pleasant. There are only two towel racks in the washroom, so once you hang up a used bath towel, there’s nowhere to put the other towels. I would appreciate it if you could add more towel racks. It’s a Hotel I would definitely like to visit again.

    Wonderful.

    From the moment I made the Reservation, this Accommodation felt exciting, and when I actually visited, it was truly charming and made for a wonderful trip. - The guest-only lounge was beautiful, and from the welcome drink through dinner time, I enjoyed complimentary drinks and snacks. - The Room was just as lovely as in the photos, and there were plenty of drinks provided in the Room, which I enjoyed along with snacks. - The Accommodation information said the meals were excellent, and on the day I was able to enjoy them with live harp music. It was also great to be able to return to my Room right after finishing dinner. The only disappointing point was that when I heated the provided kettle to make coffee in my Room, the water inside turned cloudy. I rinsed it several times but it did not clear up. I would appreciate it if the inside of the kettle could be cleaned as well. It was a memorable stay. Thank you very much.

    I’ll be back.

    The hilltop view is wonderful, and the building, interior design, and decor are all lovely. The food was delicious. However, the staff seemed busy, perhaps because there were not enough of them. I would like to visit again.

    A beautiful Room with elegant furnishings and decor, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, paired with visually stunning and delicious dishes made from luxurious ingredients that truly represent Awaji Island. Our trip, combining a Christmas dinner and an end-of-year celebration, became a wonderful memory. Enjoyable conversations with the staff added to the experience, allowing us to spend the final moments of this year in peace and elegance. Thank you very much!

    The Room and exterio...

    The Room and exterior were clean and beautiful, and we greatly appreciated the service of the cypress bath and drinks in the refrigerator. It was a bit disappointing that the harp performance during dinner ended quickly and that breakfast could not be enjoyed on the terrace. Next time, we hope to dine on the terrace during a season with pleasant weather. We look forward to your hospitality then.

    In the middle of now...

    In the middle of nowhere, three restaurants and a garden suddenly appear. The atmosphere is great. The food, especially the fish, was delicious. If there were an Onsen, it would be perfect, but since it's an auberge, that might be asking too much. It would have been nice to have a lobby for guests with some drinks available.

    Hospitality is provided in every detail.

    I have stayed at various accommodations in Awaji Island as I love the area, but this place truly lives up to its reputation as an auberge. The quality of the cuisine is outstanding, the room ambiance is charming, amenities are well-prepared, and the view from the room window is breathtaking. Everything was perfect. The sommelier's wine explanations and recommendations were also excellent. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    Serendipity at its best!

    This is an auberge I came across by chance while looking for accommodation on Awaji Island for a certain reason. The room was wonderful, and both dinner and breakfast were enjoyable. I look forward to visiting again when the opportunity arises.

    Satisfied, but several major drawbacks.

    The room was a Twin Wide Room, spacious and comfortable. The scent of cypress from the bathroom and the view of red geraniums on the balcony along with the deep natural scenery visible through the window made me forget my daily life, leaving me satisfied as soon as I entered. When staying at accommodations, I usually wipe areas where small items might be placed with a cloth I bring. However, when I wiped the wooden round table and bedside nightstand in this accommodation, an alarming amount of black dirt came off on my cloth—indicating they hadn't been cleaned for far longer than 1-2 weeks. Disappointing. Dinner at Grand Baobab was delicious; every dish was delightful, and we were pleased with the wine pairings chosen by their friendly sommelier. However, non-staying group guests were so noisy that it became impossible to hear explanations about the dishes. The staff should either make such events private or explain to these groups how their noise affects other guests' experiences and ask them to lower their voices. This lack of action diminished what could have been a more refined dining experience. Breakfast at Prince Étoile was underwhelming. The sea bream lacked salt entirely; even with basil sauce alone, it wasn’t enjoyable at all. Both my wife and I prefer light seasoning but agreed that there seemed to be no salt added—it may have simply been forgotten during preparation. Similarly disappointing were scrambled eggs: flavorless except for a faint butter aroma from cooking, topped with only a minimal amount of sauce. Overall, it was a mix of satisfaction and disappointment during our one-night stay.

    For Your Birthday Celebration

    It was a very charming accommodation surrounded by greenery. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a relaxing stay, forgetting the hustle and bustle of daily life. My family and I are already saying we'd love to visit again!

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    A meticulously maintained garden with 300 varieties of flowers, tastefully placed elegant furnishings, and a relaxing cypress bath. As an auberge, the cuisine was not only delicious but beautifully presented. It felt like stepping into a storybook, filling us with excitement. We all promised to come back again!

    Three charming house...

    Three charming houses that feel like stepping into a fairytale, surrounded by a garden adorned with colorful flowers and classic cars or carriages, will lift your spirits even before check-in. The Rooms are simple yet furnished with tasteful furniture and decor that exude elegance. Every detail, from the wallpaper to the lighting, is carefully selected to create a unique atmosphere. A blend of classic style and playful charm creates an indescribable world. While it has the ambiance of a chic French B&B, the bathroom features a warm hinoki cypress bathtub that adds an extra touch of comfort and delight. For dinner, we chose French cuisine from three options available. The dishes were beautifully presented on elegant plates using fresh local ingredients. The delicate and creative French flavors were absolutely delicious. After dinner, stepping outside revealed a garden illuminated with sparkling lights reminiscent of Christmas magic. The next morning's breakfast was served in another building's restaurant after strolling through the garden. In bright sunlight within a dining room featuring French-inspired wallpaper and lighting, we enjoyed delightful dishes on charming plates—feeling as if we had taken a mini trip to France! The staff were incredibly kind, making this stay an unforgettable travel memory for us all!

    The meals and hospitality at the auberge were heartwarming.

    From the exterior, it felt like arriving in a nostalgic, nature-rich countryside, and the excitement of our stay began as soon as we stepped out of the car. During dinner with a champagne drink service plan for a toast, my husband suddenly became unwell and returned to our room upstairs to rest. Thanks to the quick thinking of the staff, they brought up the main course to our Room so I could finish my meal without worry while keeping an eye on him. Finally, when they brought in a plate of baked goods (even though we hadn't mentioned anything), it had "Happy 30th anniversary" written on it. They had overheard me saying "Thank you for 30 years of marriage" during our toast. The thoughtfulness of all the staff filled me with joy and surprise. Such a memorable dinner was complemented by an equally delicious breakfast. Both my stomach and heart were satisfied, making this a place I want to visit again and again. Thank you very much.

    It was a wonderful holiday.

    The Room was lovely, with beautiful paintings and furniture, and the cypress bath was also nice. We dined at La Rose, and each dish was very delicate, beautiful, delicious, and we were able to enjoy it at a leisurely pace.

    We used it for Christmas dinner.

    The last time I stayed here at the end of the year, the service and food were wonderful, so I decided to have Christmas dinner here. This time, the food was delicious, and the special and seasonal feel of the Christmas dishes was fantastic. The only slight disappointment compared to last time was that the snacks provided in the Room as part of the service were a bit sparse. Since the last time was during the special New Year's period, I understand, but it left a slightly lonely impression.
