Disappointing service quality
I stayed here because of the good location, and that was about it. The staff’s service level is very low. They don’t take initiative; they only act after being told, and even then they are slow. At dinner, even though it wasn’t crowded, no one came when I rang the bell, and after ordering we were left waiting for over 20 minutes. Some of the food was good, but most of it was disappointing. Breakfast gets crowded at the self-serve rice station because everyone is funneled into the same time slot. The coffee server is also inconvenient to use—if it’s broken, it would be better not to have it at all. The Facility overall feels dated, and the layout/flow is questionable. The baths aren’t bad, but it was disappointing that only the indoor bath was available in the morning.

It was a very comfortable and wonderful accommodation.
The staff's warm and attentive service from the moment we checked in made our stay incredibly enjoyable for both us and our children. (We are especially grateful for their flexibility in arranging mountain climbing bento boxes.) We stayed for three nights, and every day we were treated to a different menu featuring the abundant seafood and mountain delicacies unique to Yakushima and Kagoshima, making each meal a delightful experience. After trekking to Jomon Sugi and Taikoiwa, the natural Onsen provided ultimate relaxation for both body and mind. The well-stocked amenities, along with the impeccably clean facilities throughout the property, ensured a comfortable stay from start to finish. It was such a wonderful trip that we can't wait to visit again. Thank you so much to all the staff!
