    It was my first time...

    It was my first time in a while soaking in a bath with a strong sulfur scent, and it truly felt like, “I’m at an Onsen!!!” I was very satisfied. The front desk staff and the dinner service staff were also young, efficient, and excellent.

    A Two-Person Trip with Breakfast and Dinner Included

    The Room was spacious, and dinner was delicious—we were very satisfied. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and guided for parking, which made it feel like we were staying at a Ryokan. At this time of year in Zao Onsen, there are few places where you can have dinner, so choosing a plan with dinner included was the right decision. The Yamagata beef shabu-shabu was excellent.

    Takamiya Rurikura Resort

    I stayed for one night. The staff were polite and very kind. The food was delicious, so I was very satisfied! Next time I come to Zao, I plan to book a Multiple Night Stay. The ropeway and lifts were right in front of the Hotel, which was very convenient!

    Highly satisfied.

    This was my second stay. Just like last time, the hospitality was warm and attentive, allowing me to enjoy my time comfortably throughout. I appreciated the room upgrade as well. The breakfast buffet was incredibly delicious, exceeding expectations. Enjoying it while admiring the beautiful autumn leaves and refreshing morning sunlight felt like the ultimate luxury. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much for your excellent service!

    Duplicate hot spring tax charged

    A bathing tax was charged both at check-in and check-out. The staff insisted that it was not collected at check-in, but it had indeed been paid already...

    Journey Through the Four Temples Corridor

    We stayed here as a couple during our first visit to Zao while touring the southern Tohoku region's onsen. Located on a hill and close to Okama, the facility was convenient, and the meals were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the amazing onsen. Thank you very much!

    All members are satisfied.

    Overall, I am satisfied with the service, location, meals (dinner and breakfast), and guest rooms. Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. The bath at the affiliated Hotel was also nice. If I had to say one thing, it would be that there is no coin laundry in the Hotel, which would have been better if available.

    Frost-covered Tree Sightseeing

    First time seeing the frost-covered trees. Since I'm not used to snow, I chose this property because it was the closest to the ropeway. It turned out to be a great decision. There was a room available for storing luggage and changing clothes before and after check-in, which was very convenient. The shuttle service to and from the bus terminal was available on request, so even without a fixed travel plan, I could move around flexibly, which was very helpful. When I requested to change the meal time later, they accommodated it willingly. Thanks to their flexible response to the unpredictable weather and crowd conditions, I was able to fully enjoy my trip. From the room, not only could I see the beautiful mountains, but I could also somewhat see the queue for the ropeway, which helped in planning my actions... (laughs). The bath had a nice thick milky white color. The entrance to the large public bath is plain, but as soon as you open the door, the smell of sulfur fills the air, enhancing the onsen experience. I think this property is recommended for frost-covered tree sightseeing and skiing!

    First Skiing at the Onsen

    This hotel is located away from the center of Zao Onsen, but it is an ideal location for ski enthusiasts (elderly people) as Yokokura Slope is in front and the Zao Ropeway is right there. In terms of location, it is far from convenience stores and the onsen town, making it unsuitable for elderly people to walk on snowy roads for meals or shopping. I found out just before going out for dinner that the hotel's shuttle service is only available to the bus terminal, and taxis are not available at night (after 7 PM), so I gave up going at the last minute. I think the shuttle service information is important, so I would like it to be clearly stated on the website. I was satisfied with the skiing, onsen, meals, and room. Just a monologue from an elderly person.

    The Onsen felt wonderful.

    I was very satisfied. Since it was a Multiple Night Stay, my Room was upgraded. All the food was delicious. The service and thoughtfulness of the staff were also appreciated. The Onsen was especially wonderful. I would like to use it again. Thank you very much.
