Accommodation for Visiting Both Shrines
We stayed at a private villa of Mihokan during the Obon holiday to visit both Izumo Taisha and Miho Shrine. The two-story traditional house was beautifully maintained, clean, and equipped with a spacious private bath. We enjoyed listening to jazz on the stereo in a relaxing atmosphere. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were abundant and featured delicious local seafood. The main building where breakfast is served has an intriguing design reminiscent of the "Infinity Castle" from Demon Slayer, making it exciting to explore. The street in front of the accommodation is beautifully paved with blue stones, leading to Miho Shrine in about five minutes. We highly recommend attending their morning ritual; even during the summer heat, the shrine grounds were filled with refreshing air that energized us for the day ahead. Additionally, the staff provided excellent service that made our stay very relaxing. Thank you very much!

A charming and atmospheric Ryokan
We stayed in a detached accommodation built during the Taisho era with our family of five. The private room had a charming atmosphere and was very pleasant. The service was attentive, and the meals were delicious. Thank you very much!

Thank you for the courteous service.
The review is late. We stayed in a separate building on December 10th. The building is designated as a cultural property, so you can see the construction from the past. The window glass and other features are from the old days (the same glass as Masaoka Shiki), but the water facilities have been renovated, making them easy to use and nice. The food is quite voluminous. The bath with a view of the bay was also nice. *Since the separate building is an old structure, the stairs to the two-story building are steep. If you are concerned about going up and down the stairs, I recommend a room in the new building where you can use the elevator. In the morning, we visited the blue stone pavement and Miho Shrine and had a relaxing time.

A Ryokan designated as a cultural property
I stayed in a detached room. Although it is an old building of cultural property, each room has air conditioning, and clean and new facilities such as Western-style toilets and baths have been added, making it a comfortable stay. Please be careful as the indoor stairs are steep.

I stayed at Bettei Hanare.
I was looking for a retro-style inn and found Mihokan's separate building, which I booked. The atmosphere of the room was exactly what I was looking for, and I was satisfied, but it was a bit disappointing that some areas felt dusty. (It's a whole building rental and spacious, so I understand cleaning might be challenging...) The staff were very kind and friendly, making my stay very comfortable. (They took photos for us on the Aoishidatami Street and chatted with us inside the building.) The meals were just as other reviews mentioned, using plenty of local ingredients, and the portions were generous, leaving us very full and satisfied! If I have another opportunity, I would like to try staying in a different room!
