    The in-Room bath was excellent, and both the quantity and quality of the meals suited me perfectly. The hot spring water was silky and gentle on the skin, which I really appreciated.

    I’m a returning guest.

    Since we live nearby, we enjoy staying here as a couple whenever our schedule allows. My husband is especially happy because the Room has an Onsen bath. The meals are just the right amount for us, and we also enjoyed the chicken rice. I personally prefer the large public bath because I want to soak in a bigger Onsen.

    Long time no see!

    It was my first stay in a while. I sometimes come back because it truly feels like coming home. As always, the staff’s service is perfect. I look forward to staying again.

    The mountain view fr...

    The mountain view from the bath is wonderful! It’s close to the ferry. The Room is clean, the food is delicious, and I think it’s reasonably priced. It might feel a bit small for three guests. I’d like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Silky-Smooth Onsen

    I stayed here with my wife on a trip to Kagoshima. Because it was raining and our flight was delayed, we couldn’t really enjoy the view, but we thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen with excellent water quality. The water is strongly alkaline and leaves your skin silky-smooth—personally, I loved it. The staff were all pleasant, and the meals were delicious without being overly large. Overall, we were satisfied with the Room that has a bath, except that the bathroom is fully visible from the bed. A curtain or similar covering on the bathroom door would help even middle-aged couples feel more comfortable. A great Onsen in a convenient location near Sakurajima and Ogawa Falls. Please continue operating for many years to come. Thank you very much.

    Shall we talk later as if nothing happened?

    This is the first time we’ve experienced an Accommodation like this. Our family does not drink alcohol. The kaiseki dinner included kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot). Since we wanted to eat rice sooner, we asked for plain white rice first. The attendant said “Certainly” and brought us refills several times. After we finished our meal and left the Room called “Kirishima,” we were told, “There is an additional charge of … yen for the white rice.” People who drink may be fine with just a light serving of kamameshi, but… We have stayed at many places that serve kamameshi, and this was the first time we were charged extra, to the point that everyone looked at each other in disbelief. What’s more, no one told us in advance that there would be an additional charge or asked for our consent. It even made us wonder whether plain white rice at breakfast buffet would also cost extra. I understand that additional charges are the Accommodation’s policy, so it can’t be helped… but it was disappointing because the Room itself was excellent.

    Former Azalea Stay

    I have stayed here many times since 2013, including twice in some years. The hot spring water quality is excellent, and I would love to visit again.

    I made a Reservation...

    I made a Reservation here based on Reviews about the silky smooth Onsen. As expected, the Onsen was indeed silky and very relaxing. The Room seemed to have been renovated, as it was clean and well-maintained. However, I couldn't find bottled water in the Room. When I checked with the front desk, a male staff member seemed unsure about it. Later, I found out that you can request bottled water at the front desk, which surprised me since coffee and tea were already provided in the Room. I believe it's standard to have at least a minimum number of bottles available from the start. Other than that, the meals were delicious and overall it was a great experience!

    The amount was for one person, although I thought it was for two when making the Reservation on IKYU.

    I thought the price on IKYU was for two people, but it turned out to be for one person. Booking directly through the hotel's website allowed me to stay at half the price, which was disappointing. I have no complaints about the hotel itself. I will not use IKYU in the future.

    The hot spring quality is excellent.

    This was my first time staying here. The Hotel is conveniently located near Tarumizu Port, making it easy to reach. The Room was a clean Japanese-Western style, with plenty of outlets near the bed, which I found very thoughtful. I was amazed by the Onsen; it felt like using skincare lotion! I also enjoyed the sauna's löyly experience. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The limited-time shaved ice dessert was a nice touch as well. However, the hallway was extremely hot. Additionally, having a curtain between the Room and its private bath might make using the bath more comfortable. Even so, this is definitely a place I'd like to visit again! Overall, it was an excellent experience.
