Yatsugatake Grace Hotel

The full panorama of the Yatsugatake Mountains was beautifully visible from the window, and the small birds that came to the birch trees were soothing. Since the price was casual, I didn’t expect much from the meals, but the beef was tender and flavorful, and both the enoki mushroom tempura and whole grilled trout marinated in miso were surprisingly delicious. The staff were also very pleasant. With wonderful views and food, this was an Accommodation I would visit again and again if it were closer. I don’t usually write a Review, but this time I felt I had to write one to say thank you.

Stayed in a special room equipped with a telescope. The room also had books about stars, which were fascinating to read. This accommodation is designed for star lovers by a star-loving owner. Many beautiful photos are displayed throughout the property. All rooms offer views of Mt. Yatsugatake, but unfortunately, it rained during our stay, so we couldn't see the scenery or the starry sky. However, the 30-minute indoor stargazing projection session was excellent. Dinner featured fresh and delicious vegetables from their private farm and a steak course that left us more than satisfied. The bath was a spacious public bathhouse; however, there was no open-air bath, which was slightly disappointing. It would have been perfect to soak while gazing at a sky full of stars!
