Shikanoyu Hotel

I stayed here with my parents and my younger sister’s family.After we arrived, we were kindly guided to our Room. It was very clean, and the children were thrilled. When we asked to use the private family bath, they were able to make a Reservation at a perfect time around dinner, so we could relax and enjoy it.The meals were also delicious, and we were very satisfied. I wanted to try the sake and vinegar prepared by the proprietress as well, but things were hectic and I couldn’t—next time I definitely will. Vinegar was served during the meal too, and it was excellent.We also enjoyed the dessert.My child loves origami, and they had origami paper available in the lobby, which made them very happy as they folded it. Our whole family was very satisfied with Shikanoyu Hotel. Thank you very much.

I originally chose to stay at Yunoyama Onsen because I wanted to relax in the Onsen. The Onsen was wonderfully soothing, and I enjoyed it many times, but to be honest, the meals were even better than expected—exceptionally delicious, with thoughtful touches in each ingredient—so I was just as satisfied, if not more so, than with the Onsen. The welcome drink and shiratama sweets, as well as the sweets café after dinner, were not the kind of “just for show” desserts you often find; they were genuinely delicious sweets, which was another highlight. Since it was summer vacation there were many families with children, and seeing them enjoy the festival games brought back memories of letting my own child play at a similar festival at Ogoto Onsen years ago. The Room was clean, and above all, the hospitality of all the staff was outstanding. I was especially impressed by how hard one international staff member working as a trainee was trying. I would definitely like to stay again—thank you very much.
