    A very comfortable accommodation.

    This accommodation is located right next to a famous architectural accommodation in Shibu Onsen, in front of the ninth bath of the Sotoyu Meguri. It is an ideal location for enjoying the Sotoyu Meguri. The hospitality from all staff, including the proprietress, is exceptional, making it a very pleasant place to stay. While the guest rooms are slightly dated, the meals are impeccable in both variety and taste, and of course, the onsen water soothes deep into your body to relieve daily fatigue. For us as a couple, this accommodation exceeded our expectations.

    First Shibu Onsen Snow Scenery

    From Kusatsu Onsen to Nagano, visiting Zenkoji Temple, and then taking the Nagano Electric Railway to Yudanaka Shibu Onsen Town. We were greeted by the best snow of the year, making for a perfect moment. Inform the shuttle service of your arrival time at Nagano Station, and you'll be transported back in time to the old town. The efficient hostess provides a pleasant hospitality experience. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying, with unpretentious and appropriately portioned dishes. The sunken kotatsu was warm and clean. Although the snowy conditions limited our onsen visits to two, it was wonderful. May Shibu Onsen remain as it is forever.

    A great Stays for visiting public baths

    I used the property for the purpose of onsen and visiting the public baths. It was enjoyable to view the onsen town from the room window facing the street and savor the atmosphere. I appreciated the preparation of a hanten for the 9 public bath tour, two yukatas, and tabi-style socks for the geta. The location was convenient, being about the middle of the 9 public bath tour, making it easy to walk. The hot water at Shibu Onsen is hot, but thanks to the innkeeper or the staff teaching us how to enter, we were able to enjoy the property's indoor bath, open-air bath, and the 9 public baths. However, we had to carry our luggage to the room ourselves, and the amenities and services were minimal. Some people might find it lacking, but I think it's a good stay for enjoying the onsen and public bath tour.

    Overall, a comfortable Stays

    I wish there was a thicker mattress under the futon... It would be appreciated if the comfort of the futon was a bit better (my body got a little sore). Also, the shoji screens are not blackout type, so the morning sun was dazzling, and I was woken up by the "light" earlier than expected (lol). Although there are some concerns, I think it is an ideal property for spending a relaxing time, with an open-air bath that offers a sense of freedom, a spacious room, and a comfortable sunken kotatsu. I would love to visit again.
