  The food is exceptionally delicious.

  We stayed at another Accommodation for one night to get our “cat fix,” then chose this place for the second night after seeing reviews saying the food is delicious and you can meet adorable cats. The exterior is an extremely charming building. We were able to use the “Now’s the time to visit Ito!” campaign, so we enjoyed a great deal. We chose a Room with an ocean view, but unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, so we’d love to come back and try again. The bath is private and requires a Reservation after check-in. In addition to an indoor bath, there is a semi-open-air bath with a small garden; it has a roof and walls so you can’t see the outside scenery. It’s genuine Onsen water, and since it was mosquito season, they even had an adorable cat-shaped mosquito coil burning. Because we had an early departure the next morning, we chose a Plan with dinner only—but it was so surprisingly delicious that it felt like dining at a starred restaurant, and we regretted not adding breakfast. The sashimi was fresh, and each dish was carefully handmade—many unlike anything we’d had before. Everything was excellent: spring rolls, small side dishes, simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino), white rice, and more. The hamburger steak served toward the end wasn’t greasy or heavy, and the portion size was just right. Dessert also offered variety: fruit, cake, and ice cream. The cookies in our Room—and even the cookies we received as souvenirs—were delicious as well. This is an Accommodation worth visiting just for the food alone. We’ve stayed at many Hotels and Ryokan around Japan, but my wife and I still talk about how amazed we were by how good the meals were here. After dinner there was time to interact with the cats. It’s not really hands-on petting time, but the owner kindly let us hold one of them and take photos (the cat looked slightly unimpressed!). The owner and his wife were incredibly kind, and their hospitality truly came through. At checkout it was raining quite heavily; they lent us an umbrella for walking to our car—and even came out again to collect it after we got in. We would love to return.

As guests who love to travel, there is no greater joy for us than to hear you enjoyed our料理. We’re always helped by how adorable our cats are, but we’re truly happy that you praised things other than the cats as well. We source our splendid alfonsino (kinmedai) from the waters near Izu. We also have an Onsen with both an indoor bath and a semi-open-air outdoor bath, so you can enjoy it without worrying about the cold even in winter. As for our “nyanko time,” all four cats may make an appearance, but depending on the day they may not feel like playing much or may seem a bit aloof—though that’s part of what makes cats, cats. We hope you’ll enjoy that side of them too. You both spent your time here with smiles throughout, which left us with a wonderful impression as well. We would love to see you again!   I’d been looking forward to our stay and couldn’t wait after checking the website and YouTube beforehand. On the day, the owner couple welcomed us with warm smiles. In a cute, spotless Room, we enjoyed delicious homemade cookies, and I had a great time chatting with my son. Dinner and breakfast were just as described in the Review—fresh, tasty, and very satisfying. Our time with the cats was short, but we were truly happy. We were delighted to meet the kind owner and his wonderful wife with her lovely smile, as well as Candy, Myu, Yuki, and Haku. Sorry to our cat at home, but we’ll be back again. Thank you in advance.

  This was an Accommod...

  This was an Accommodation I’d wanted to visit for a long time! The owners’ kindness and sincerity showed in the food and the cleanliness. Whether you love cats or not, I think you can still relax and enjoy your stay for the delicious meals and the Onsen. The Room was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable, so I rested well. Both my husband and I were soothed by the cats! To the owners and all the cats—please stay well and keep delighting your guests. Thank you very much.

On clear days, you can see the blue ocean and the Izu Seven Islands other than Oshima.   Thank you for the wonderful time.

  We stayed here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We chose this place because we could interact with cats, but everything else exceeded our expectations as well—the food was delicious, the owners were incredibly kind, and of course, the cats were adorable. My daughter was overjoyed and said she was completely satisfied. We hope to visit again in a few years to see how the cats have grown!
