Hirayama Onsen Ryokan Zenya

We stayed here with a friend’s family who were temporarily back from Europe. The children have grown up in Europe and weren’t familiar with Japanese Onsen, so we were worried they might not enjoy it, but they said the water was wonderfully silky and helped them relax. They liked it so much that they asked to stay again. The freshly cooked rice in a clay pot was also delicious! Thank you very much.

We stayed with three guests in their 80s. My aunt was worried about many things, so the staff kindly consulted with us from the time of our Reservation to help ease her concerns. Everything we requested was prepared in advance. Since we were a large group, they had also arranged a private banquet room even before we asked. Thanks to that, we were able to share memories of our grandparents together via video call with an uncle who lives far away.We chose a Plan that included a private bath, so we could relax without worrying about others. Soaking at ease and looking up at the night sky from the open-air bath—where we could even see the Big Dipper—made for a truly wonderful time. The smooth, silky hot spring water was also excellent. Even my aunt, who usually has trouble sleeping, slept through the night until morning, and we were all delighted. The amenities were more than sufficient.It was the season of fresh greenery, and the mountain view from our window was very soothing. The meals were delicious, and although there was plenty of food, everyone finished everything without leaving any behind.Thank you very much for accommodating all of our requests.My elderly uncle and aunt—and my mother as well—felt energized and said they want to keep traveling from now on.
