    I only deducted points for the meals.

    Overall, we were extremely satisfied.\n As it is still fairly new, everything was clean and comfortable. The bath in the Room was especially wonderful—although the Onsen water is brought in, it felt highly therapeutic. Being able to soak as much as we liked at any time while looking out at the sea was the ultimate luxury.\n The meals were also generous and served with outstanding hospitality while enjoying the ocean view. However, the flavors were generally very strong. In particular, when we ordered an additional grilled spiny lobster, it tasted only of Japanese pepper. The name “Spiny Lobster Grilled with Japanese Pepper” is accurate, but using that much spice on seafood served by the sea made us wonder if it was meant to mask a freshness issue.\n We understand that stronger seasoning may be preferred on the Miura Peninsula, but we feel the dishes would have been more enjoyable if they were seasoned more lightly with condiments provided separately so guests could adjust to taste.\n

    Teru Teru Bozu… it really works!

    Thank you for taking care of us during our two-day stay. We had braced ourselves for a completely rainy forecast, but we were fortunate to enjoy continued sunny breaks. During our stay, we truly appreciated the thoughtful hospitality of all the staff and are grateful to have spent such a wonderful time. Fufu is a place that makes us want to come back again.

    The sashimi served with the meal is excellent.

    We have stayed at Fufu Nikko twice because the dining there is outstanding. After staying in Hakone, Atami, and Kyoto, we chose to stay here this time. The abalone served at the start of dinner and the fresh, delicious sashimi—everything was an exceptional dinner. Among all the Fufu properties we have stayed at, the food here is No. 1. The lounge had a spectacular view and a great atmosphere, but at Fufu Nikko they served champagne rather than sparkling wine, and the selection of drinks was a level higher. I hope champagne will be available here as well. Since there is no large public bath here, you only need to move between the lounge and dining area, so I think it’s a good Accommodation for bringing elderly guests. Points for improvement: I booked the Ocean Suite because I liked the orange wall and sofa shown on IKYU’s page, but our Room had a blue sofa and was different. When I checked the official site, I found that there are two types of Ocean Suite. Please display both types on the booking page going forward. The parking area is very close by, so valet service isn’t necessary. However, while about seven staff members welcomed us on arrival and around four saw us off when leaving, no one helped load or unload our luggage—we did it ourselves. With so many young staff members present… just watching was disappointing. This has never happened at other Fufu properties. Despite these points for improvement, being able to stay in this price range offers great value for money. We were very satisfied with views of Jogashima’s white waves and Mt. Fuji. We bought souvenirs in Nikko—the green curry, keema curry, and meat miso were delicious—so we purchased them again. We also added onion dressing and yokan (sweet bean jelly). The yokan wasn’t overly sweet and was easy to enjoy. As an aside: when coming here, I recommend lunch on the way at Seabonia Restaurant by the yacht harbor, and lunch on the way back at Marlowe’s restaurant in Akiya. We made a Reservation for Fufu Ginza in December. We’re already looking forward to it. We will visit again as well. Thank you very much.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    It was a wonderful stay. The Room had not only a private Onsen bath but also a hot stone sauna, and I was able to relax while enjoying the ocean view. I enjoyed a special, private time that you can’t experience in the public bath. As for the meals, the sashimi at dinner was truly delicious! It was the best tuna sashimi I’ve ever had. The food was so satisfying that I’d stay here just for dinner. Breakfast was also tasty, but the “aji (horse mackerel) with aromatic seasonings” and the clams in the hot pot had a slightly fishy, seaside smell. I’m sure it varies by ingredient, and everything else was excellent, so that was my only minor drawback. That said, everything—from the Room to the service and meals—was highly satisfying, and I definitely want to stay again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

    Your First Fufu Stay

    This was my first stay at a Fufu brand Hotel, and it was wonderful. The Hotel opened this year and is brand-new, with a lovely scent throughout. The Room was also fantastic, with its own Onsen. We stayed in an ocean-view Room, and the free-flow service was excellent. The food was delicious. Since it’s positioned as a luxury Hotel, this may come down to personal preference, but the staff interaction at check-in felt a bit awkward—I would have appreciated slightly friendlier service. Overall, I was extremely satisfied and would love to come back!

    Hotel with an Onsen and Ocean View

    I chose this Hotel because the ocean is right in front of you—and having an Onsen was the deciding factor. The sea stretches out before you, and the location is outstanding. The Room was spacious and clean. The Onsen is Aburatsubo Onsen, and I truly felt its wonderful effects, as it’s said to be good for relieving fatigue. Each dish was very delicious and enjoyable, but overall the seasoning felt too strong. It may suit younger guests, but for me—past 60—it tasted quite salty. That said, every dish really did taste great. There was also more than enough food; I couldn’t finish it all. However, during dinner service: after we were seated, no one came to take our drink order at all. Even when we wanted to order refills, staff acted as if they didn’t notice us. While we were eating as a couple—after I finished but my wife was still eating—my dishes were cleared and the next course was brought out anyway. My wife felt rushed and ate quickly because of it. On top of that, since it was sashimi, I waited for my wife so we could start together—but by the time we began eating, it had become lukewarm. It’s extremely disappointing service from the staff given how good the food itself is. Regarding amenities: Are you topping up cleansing products instead of replacing them? My wife has worked in the cosmetics industry for many years and said the cleanser smelled oxidized. This isn’t a bargain Hotel—you should put more thought into this. I knew “Fufu” is part of the “Atami Sekaie” group, and I had avoided it because I previously had a very unpleasant experience at “Atami Sekaie.” Unfortunately, I ended up feeling that same lack of staff training again. While we were getting ready to leave, there was a chime; when we opened the door, it was a fire alarm inspection. Isn’t that something you should inform guests about at check-in? Even the contractor seemed surprised that we were there—and so were we. At checkout as well, we were told that if we registered our card in advance, returning the key would complete payment—but despite registering our card, we were made to wait “because there are charges,” and only after saying we had already registered for express checkout did they rush to respond. What was that explanation supposed to mean? We were made to carry our luggage down stairs—and then had to carry it back up again. My wife has an injured foot and steps are difficult; staff on the previous day kindly took this into consideration, but clearly this information wasn’t shared. With such a great location, an Onsen on site, and being close to Tokyo, we had high expectations—but they were greatly disappointed. I think more basic staff training is needed.

    Enjoy Jogashima Island

    I heard a wonderful Hotel had opened on Jogashima, so I made a Reservation. Each Room has its own Onsen bath, so you can enjoy it anytime without worrying about the clock. Thanks to that, we were able to relax and take our time during our stay. (Apparently they bring in Aburatsubo Onsen water every day!) Some Reviews mentioned that the meal portions were not enough, so as big eaters we were a little worried—but it turned out to be unfounded. Dinner was delicious, including the extra dishes we ordered. This is a highly recommended Hotel where you can enjoy an escape from everyday life just about two hours from Tokyo. We’ve already made our next Reservation. We look forward to staying again.

    Access from the stat...

    Access from the station is difficult if you travel by train. There were no taxis waiting at the station, and when I requested one via GO, I ended up with a rude local driver, which was unpleasant. I had high expectations for the Hotel’s location, but it was disappointing. As for the ocean view from the in-Room bath, which I was really looking forward to, people were walking around nearby the entire time (even at night and early morning), so I could never open the curtains while bathing. As a result, it felt no different from an indoor bath. At dinner as well, we were seated where there was no view at all. The bath itself was spacious and came with a bath pillow, and the amenities and in-Room facilities were modern and very good. It was also nice that drinks in the refrigerator were free. I had been looking forward to relaxing while watching the sea, so overall I didn’t feel satisfied for the price paid. The rooftop felt open and had drinks available; although it’s in direct sunlight, it was nice to be able to watch the sunset.

    About Meals

    The Facility is new, and the meals were very delicious, so overall I was satisfied. I think I have stayed at Fufu properties about 10 times, but this is my first Review, with hopes for further improvement. I understand it may be difficult, but I would appreciate improvements to the private dining rooms. Each private room was connected and separated by movable partitions, but voices from the next room carried through clearly, and I was very bothered by how sound seemed to be muffled yet echoing. Also—although I imagine this put the staff in a difficult position—during breakfast (about one hour), a small child kept walking around the dining area wearing shoes that made loud “beeping” sounds. Even if it’s a small child, if they are continuously making such loud noise and walking around during meals, it may be appropriate to ask the parents to intervene. After more than 30 minutes, I seriously considered speaking up myself; for the sake of preventing issues between guests as well, I would appreciate your consideration.

    Thank you for a wonderful time.

    I was first moved by the warm, hospitality-filled service of the staff at ATAMI Sekaie, which sparked my interest in Fufu. This was my first stay with Fufu, and the attentive service, thoughtful care, and wonderful smiles of the staff exceeded my expectations—I would definitely love to return. At Fufu Jogashima “Umikaze no Shirabe,” the ocean feels close from the Room; the sound of the waves and the scent of the sea were soothing, making it a truly relaxing space. The Aburatsubo Onsen in the in-room bath is a therapeutic spring and felt amazing—both body and mind were refreshed. The service and location of Rooftop Lounge “Yoiboshi” were truly outstanding, and I was impressed by how well-appointed the free-flow offering was. The sparkling sunset seen from Yoiboshi moved me deeply. The meals at Japanese Restaurant Shioyui—both dinner and breakfast—featured an abundance of fresh seafood and vegetables unique to the Miura Peninsula. The taste, quality, and portions were more than satisfying. My favorites were dinner’s sashimi, steamed abalone, clay-pot rice with new ginger; and breakfast’s sardine fish-ball soup and seafood curry—everything was excellent. One small note: during dinner (understandably), depending on where you sit, staff coming in and out can feel a bit busy, so I couldn’t fully enjoy such wonderful dishes at a leisurely pace. However, I believe that’s why they kindly seated us in a private room for breakfast. Even before check-in they looked after our luggage, and when they noticed my shoe sole starting to come loose they helped immediately—their thoughtful hospitality made me truly glad we chose this Accommodation. Thanks to them, we were able to walk the Jogashima hiking course and fully enjoy our activities. I’m sincerely grateful to everyone at Fufu Jogashima for helping me discover what an amazing place Jogashima is so close to central Tokyo—and for providing exceptional service, outstanding cuisine, breathtaking views, and an unforgettable time filled with happiness.

    The Perfect Vacation

    I stayed here once shortly after it opened, and the view from the Room, the cleanliness, and the bath were all outstanding, so with my birthday coming up I decided to visit again. Just like last time, everything was just as wonderful; the meals felt even more generous than before, and they were delicious—I was very satisfied. As with all Accommodations in this group, the service is excellent and full of thoughtful touches, so I can confidently recommend it to anyone. Thank you very much.

    It was really great!

    I stay at a Hotel 2–3 times a year as a hobby. After visiting most of the City Hotels I wanted to over the past few years, I’ve started exploring Resort Hotels as well. This was my first time staying at Fufu, which I’d long admired. It felt like it was tucked away in the countryside, but the Hotel itself was extremely comfortable. The experience of watching the sunset over the sea and then the morning ocean during my stay was truly wonderful. The interior design was incredibly stylish and beautiful—it really lifted my mood. Outside, you can enjoy views of the Jogasaki coast and powerful waves, but unless you’re fishing or similar, it’s not somewhere you’d spend a long time, and as mentioned above I couldn’t find much else to do nearby. Still, I never got bored even staying indoors all day. The herbal tea in the refrigerator was delicious too, and I appreciated those thoughtful touches. The lounge free-flow service and the paid bar were both great, though there was so much direct sunlight that I started to worry about getting sunburned (lol). I stayed in the Kōha Precious Suite, which is a Room type with a stone sauna (ganbanyoku). Being able to enjoy that as well was pure bliss. The Japanese meal at the restaurant was also excellent—lightly seasoned yet very flavorful—and there was plenty of food. I left completely satisfied. Overall, I’d give it 5 stars! A few small points stood out: Because it faces the ocean fully open-fronted style, boats sometimes pass by in the morning. When I was bathing in the morning, I couldn’t help thinking that I wouldn’t like it if someone could see in from outside. In fact, when I lay down near one edge of my terrace area, I could faintly see someone moving through a window in another distant Room across from mine—I panicked and hid. Also, when I want to enjoy a Hotel stay properly (because distractions), I usually travel alone rather than with a partner or friends. However at Fufu properties—including this one—the Plans for solo stays are priced higher than for two guests. If there were more options for solo travelers within that pricing structure, it would be appreciated—I’d love to visit other properties too. That said, it really was an excellent stay where you can savor slow time itself.

    We had a very comfor...

    We had a very comfortable stay. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the sunset we were looking forward to because of an evening shower, but the next morning we woke up in bed to a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji—it was amazing. We’d love to visit again in a different season.

    I’ve wanted to visit ever since you opened, and this Accommodation was even better than I expected. The hospitality, meals, baths, and the stunning views from the Hotel lobby and our Room—everything was wonderful. Thank you very much. We’ve also stayed at other Fufu properties, but my mother and I have come to love Fufu Jogashima the most. If I could make one request, it would be a Shuttle Service from the station—even just a few trips a day. We would be happy if you could consider it in the future. We look forward to seeing Fufu continue to grow into an even more wonderful place.

    I went expecting a luxury accommodation, but…

    For an Accommodation costing well over 100,000 yen per night (per Room for two), the service level felt lacking. The staff seemed inexperienced and young, though they were trying hard... After we arrived (we had a Reservation for two Rooms for my son and his wife as well), they first tried to take me to a Room on the 2nd floor. When I asked which Room was the higher grade, I was told it was on the 3rd floor?! I had already contacted the Accommodation in advance and requested that I be assigned the higher-grade Room, so when I mentioned that, they tried to guide me to the 3rd floor again. While we waited endlessly for the elevator, they then said, “Actually, the 2nd-floor Room is higher grade,” and took me to Room 206 on the 2nd floor. It left me doubtful. Also, the staff member who handled check-in and escorted us to our Room gave a very detailed explanation about paid drinks in the lounges (1F and 4F), but said nothing about complimentary drinks or snacks. Because of that, we didn’t use the lounge on our first day. Later, we were shocked to learn from my son and his wife (who were guided by another staff member) that complimentary drinks were available. Failing to explain complimentary services is unacceptable. (The next day we went to the 4th-floor rooftop lounge, but it was soaking wet from last night’s rain... I wish we could have used it before it rained.) Overall, it left us with a very unpleasant aftertaste.

    A hidden luxury accommodation

    The sashimi and other seafood dishes are exceptionally delicious. Since it has only been open for six months, everything is spotless. Aburatsubo Onsen has a silky, slightly thick texture, and the hot spring water was very satisfying. Walk the well-maintained trail around Jogashima in about 1.5 hours to fully enjoy the sea. A quiet hideaway. 80 minutes from Tokyo. It was excellent—Done as our regular Accommodation from now on.

    “Become one with the sea—an exquisite moment of bliss” Aokai Premium Suite

    My spouse and I stayed here, and it was such a wonderful Hotel that we truly thought, “We want to stay again.” The moment we stepped into the Room, a soft, pleasant aroma filled the air—and beyond that were huge windows spanning the entire space. The beautiful ocean stretched across the full view, and we were so moved that we couldn’t help saying “Wow.” Even in the morning, when we got out of bed and opened the curtains, we were amazed all over again by the sea right in front of us. It felt as if we were one with the ocean, and throughout our stay we found ourselves gazing out the window again and again. The dining was also outstanding. The Japanese course meal was delicious from start to finish, and you could really taste how fresh each ingredient was. The drink pairing to match each dish was great fun as well, and taking time to savor each combination became a special memory for us as a couple. Thanks to our Diamond member benefit with a 12:00 checkout time, after the standard 11:00 checkout time had passed we were able to use the rooftop lounge almost as if it were reserved just for us. Enjoying coffee in that quiet space while looking out at the ocean in front of us was pure bliss—an incredibly luxurious moment that felt like having the sea all to ourselves. The staff’s attentiveness was exceptional. At dinner, one male staff member carefully timed our drinks and shared thoughtful explanations about each dish. At breakfast, a young female staff member was cheerful and easy to talk with; thanks to our enjoyable conversation, even the meal tasted better. I was also touched when a housekeeping staff member noticed I had both hands full with coffee cups and quickly opened the door for me. Just one note: the road leading up to this Hotel is quite narrow, and since it was during Obon season with many people around, I felt slightly uneasy driving in. When I got lost on my first attempt and called the Hotel, a staff member came down to guide me—an act of kindness I truly appreciated. The view, food, hospitality—everything was excellent. It was a genuinely relaxing stay for us as a couple, and we would love to visit again.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Above all, the view was outstanding. Spending time gazing at the sea and listening to the waves was pure bliss. The food was also very delicious. I only wished dinner felt a bit more upscale. Also, I didn’t learn that you can access the beach from the lobby doors until I asked before checkout. I would have appreciated being informed upon arrival. That said, it was an overall highly satisfying stay. I’d love to visit again.

    35th Wedding Anniversary

    We stayed at Fufu Jogashima last weekend (Saturday and Sunday) to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. It was easy to reach from our home in Chiba, and it made for a stay worthy of such a special year. The ocean view from our Room, the pleasant breeze on the sky deck, and the panoramic scenery stretching all the way to Enoshima were even more wonderful than we had expected. For dinner and breakfast, we enjoyed the chef’s original course featuring an abundance of seafood; every dish was carefully prepared and truly memorable. At breakfast in particular, we were deeply moved when you presented us with a framed photo of us taken the day before, along with a warm message from the Hotel. Adding such heartfelt touches to our anniversary stay made it an unforgettable time. All of the staff provided comfortable service, and we felt genuine hospitality from everyone, including new team members. This was our fourth stay with Fufu (following two properties in Atami and Karuizawa), and each time has met our expectations—this visit again left us honestly thinking, “We’d love to come back.” When we stayed at Karuizawa Shizuyo no Mori at the end of last year, we learned that Fufu Jogashima would open in February, and we had been looking forward to visiting for our 35th anniversary. After staying here, we truly feel glad we chose it.

    I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay!

    The location is excellent. While many of the staff are still inexperienced, everyone worked very hard, and the service from the more seasoned team members was truly pleasant—exactly what I would expect from Fufu. Since it’s nearby, when I take time off but still need to work, a Multiple Night Stay here would be productive, relaxing, and allow me to unwind at a slower pace. Just one thing: wherever I stay, I tend to notice dust and cleaning conditions. Even though this place is still new, I found several points that concerned me. It made me wonder whether cleanliness can be maintained over time. That said, I had an absolutely wonderful stay. I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    From the confirmation call through to the pickup, everything was handled with great care, which put me at ease and allowed me to enjoy my stay with peace of mind. What I requested was shared as important information across each department, and I was impressed by the excellent coordination. At breakfast time as well, the change from a morning taxi to a private car was handled at just the right moment, and another department also confirmed it—an outstanding response. However, when settling an additional charge at checkout, the staff member in charge seemed unsure and stared directly at me while I entered my PIN. She was a foreign woman, but this is not acceptable from a security standpoint. Please improve this even if there was no ill intent. It was very disappointing at the end of my stay. The bath and the view were wonderful, and it is a Hotel I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Oceanfront

    We love Atami Sekaie, and our family’s criteria for choosing an Accommodation is an Onsen with a Room that has an ocean view, so we were really looking forward to Fufu’s first oceanfront location. The sea was truly right in front of us. It was a bit disappointing that the bath was not open-air, but the seafood dishes were delicious. Since we were staying as three guests and the Room with an extra bed does not have an oceanfront bath, they also showed us a Room where the bath faces the sea (maximum 2 guests; up to 3 is possible if a child uses Child Sharing Existing Bedding), and kindly changed our booking. Thank you for your consideration. Thanks to that, we were able to fully enjoy the bath.

    The location and meals are excellent.

    This is a one-of-a-kind location, with sweeping ocean views and rare, distinctive rock patterns formed by erosion from wind and waves. Both dinner and breakfast offered an excellent variety; the quality (taste) and portions were outstanding, and the presentation—including the tableware—was beautiful.

    Highly Satisfying Accommodation

    I stayed here to celebrate the grand opening and was very interested in the experience. First, I was amazed by the wonderful location. I could also enjoy the beautiful, rugged scenery from my Room. Of course, everything—from the Room’s design and the services throughout the property to the delicious cuisine—was truly first-class. I felt completely refreshed.

    It was absolutely amazing.

    Stayed with my wife and baby. Warm, hospitality-filled service. The food was delicious, and the tableware was beautiful. They also offer rare sake. The views were stunning. We were able to relax and spend quality time as a family. Even with a baby, we were welcomed warmly, and they provided anything we needed. It was very comfortable. We’re glad we stayed here.

    It was a wonderful stay.

    I stayed over the Marine Day three-day weekend as a birthday treat, choosing the Anniversary Plan. It was my first time staying at an Accommodation with “Fufu” in its name. Check-in was handled smoothly, and I had a very comfortable stay. Since I arrived early, I left my luggage and walked to Uma-no-Se Domon Gate; as the weather gradually cleared up, it kept getting hotter… Coming back drenched in sweat and being able to rest at the Accommodation itself felt like a luxury. I was informed that the rooftop lounge would be available from 2:00 p.m., so I relaxed there as well, but it was simply too hot outside, so I spent most of the time indoors. The indoor area is a bit small, so it may get crowded in the coming season. I managed to book an Ocean Suite Room and had been looking forward to it. It more than met my expectations—spacious, with tasteful furniture colors and a well-thought-out layout that made it very easy to use. The bed was also extremely comfortable; I slept wonderfully. The next morning, I could see Mt. Fuji from the Room and the naturally sculpted coastline spread out below—and soaking in the bath while taking in that view was pure indulgence. Both dinner and breakfast were truly delicious and very satisfying. You can tell great care is taken in selecting ingredients. One of the perks included a bouquet. Although I had requested to receive it at departure, I completely forgot—so when it was handed to me unexpectedly, it became an especially happy moment. It featured more varieties of flowers than I expected and was beautiful; even after returning home, I’m still enjoying the lingering feeling. It’s certainly priced accordingly, but with Jogashima’s setting adding even more value, I think this is a one-of-a-kind wonderful Accommodation.

    Access to the Hotel

    It would be great if the access route to the Hotel were improved.\nAlso, I’d like to see more terrace seating.
