The food is good, but everything else is terrible.
The meals were as good as expected. I had heard that this Accommodation was renovated from a former elementary school, but the guest rooms were uncomfortable and the amenities were terrible. Table service was average, but at check-in there was no guidance to the Room or explanation of the Facility, and breakfast was poor. Despite being a restaurant run by a well-known chef, overall satisfaction was low and the overall impression was negative. The management company is probably not up to standard. For those planning to visit, although you will need to pay for taxis, I recommend having dinner only and staying at a Business Hotel near Komatsu Station.

The meals are absolu...
The meals are absolutely exceptional. During the game meat season, we enjoyed delicious dishes, and the vegetable-based cuisine was equally impressive. It made us want to visit again in a different season. However, breakfast was slightly underwhelming (the service was excellent, and the hot pot was tasty, but for a Japanese-style breakfast, one more dish would have been appreciated).

Enjoy Kanagaso
We experienced the essence of Satoyama. Being right next to N-san's sake brewery was intriguing, and visiting turned out to be a great decision. We took an early morning flight from Tokyo, had tempura lunch in Kanazawa City, and returned by Shinkansen. The taxi didn't recognize the property name but managed with N-san's brewery. Although it was a closed school, the building was clean and pleasant, with high comfort in the room and facilities. Dinner was fun and interesting, but breakfast was truly exceptional for me personally. We enjoyed stargazing from the rooftop after dinner and walking around the stone quarry after checkout as well as exploring N-san's brewery.

Cuisine you want to eat even when you visit that place!
The overwhelming cuisine that takes advantage of the abundant water resources of Kannonshita and the world view full of regional revitalization from the renovation of an elementary school was truly impressive. The dishes are centered around local ingredients and are full of individuality, offering a course that is enjoyable not only in taste but also in appearance. Above all, every staff member was excellent at explaining the dishes and sharing little stories, making it a pleasure to listen! There were several other groups at the restaurant, and it was impressive to see everyone enjoying listening to the stories. The friendly and warm hospitality of the staff created an even more wonderful dining space. The Facility has an artistic atmosphere without being too formal, and it exudes a gentle ambiance. As it is a former elementary school, there was also a sense of nostalgia. It's a place where you can only eat there, yet you would want to eat it even if you go to that place. Such a space was present at Auberge Oofu in Kannonshita. Thank you for such a truly wonderful space! I would love to visit again when the seasons change!

Very satisfied.
The old school building has been beautifully renovated and is a very stylish structure. The food was beautifully presented and had a delicious taste I had never experienced before. It's great that they use local ingredients. Both the staff and the chef were wonderful, making it a comfortable stay. I would love to visit again in the spring.

The hospitality is wonderful!
I was looking forward to dinner at the auberge, which was renovated from a closed school. However, I had been experiencing dizziness and other symptoms due to low atmospheric pressure for a few days, and I was worried about whether I could finish the full course meal. Feeling apologetic, I asked at check-in if they could serve smaller portions of each dish. The staff immediately checked with the chef and assured me that it was possible, which gave me a sense of relief. Even when seated at the restaurant, I still felt a bit uneasy, but the staff kindly checked on me one after another, reassuring me that the meal portions could be adjusted according to my condition. The warm mushroom soup served first had a gentle flavor that spread through my body, and the beautifully presented dishes, even in small portions, lifted my spirits. Perhaps because of the quality of the ingredients, I gradually started feeling better as I ate. By the time dessert came, I was already full and thought I might have to give up, but I boldly asked if I could take any dessert back to my room. They graciously brought a beautifully plated dessert and herbal tea to my room! Even in this irregular situation, they responded pleasantly without any sign of annoyance, and I was moved by their hospitality. They also upgraded my room to a junior suite, allowing me to relax and unwind. I apologize for any inconvenience I caused, but I am truly grateful! Even in small portions, the food was so delicious that I want to eat it again, so I will definitely visit again! (I'm also curious about the non-alcoholic pairing drinks.) I look forward to it.
