    I had an incredibly satisfying and elegant stay.

    I was captivated by the photos of the water terrace and decided to stay on short notice, but this turned out to be an even more wonderful hotel than I had expected. The view from the water terrace was truly stunning. I was amazed at how close Oshima appeared, and in the morning, watching the sunlight pour over Oshima was incredibly beautiful and moving. (The evening menu featured a drawing of the Seven Islands, which made it even more enjoyable to gaze at them while referring to it.) Dinner wasn’t a buffet, allowing for a calm dining experience with just the right portion sizes. At the lounge, alcoholic beverages were complimentary, and personally, I found their green tea exceptionally delicious. Since it was available for purchase at their shop, I bought some green tea along with sake from Shizuoka as souvenirs. The free-flow drink service was also a delightful touch. Including the excellent hospitality provided by all staff members, this hotel offered an overall high-quality experience that left me completely satisfied. The Onsen and hospitality washed away all my fatigue from the year and left me feeling rejuvenated. I will definitely visit again—thank you very much!

    My first stay at the Izu Kogen Kamenoi Hotel was wonderful. Thanks to the prior phone call confirming allergy-friendly meals and wheelchair arrangements, all my concerns were addressed, and I looked forward to the day with excitement! During check-in, as part of the IKYU Diamond benefits, I was able to check in smoothly at the premium lounge. A bottle of Spumante was prepared in the refrigerator, and a wheelchair was ready from where we got out of the car, which gave us peace of mind. When guided to our room, we were surprised by a two-tiered cake-like arrangement made from bath towels and towels tied with ribbons on the living room table. Alongside it were a cute message card and chocolate treats for celebration—everyone took photos and shared joy together! At dinner, they kindly asked about alcoholic or non-alcoholic preferences for celebratory drinks. The meal was delicious and brought us happiness—thank you so much! The hotel interior is very clean with an excellent sense of cleanliness. The water terrace is stunning; both its view and that from our room were breathtakingly beautiful. Some guests enjoyed taking photos or relaxing on deck chairs there. The loungewear provided is comfortable yet stylish, amenities are carefully selected—it lifted our spirits! The late-night ramen warmed us up again; it was also delicious. Our room matched this high standard: spacious with TVs in each area allowing everyone to relax while watching their favorite shows comfortably lying down—it had everything needed for a pleasant stay without lacking anything essential. We enjoyed using massage chairs while watching TV in living spaces or soaking up magnificent views through private open-air baths & balconies—the experience made leaving difficult because every moment felt fulfilling! All staff members displayed kindness & professionalism reflecting thorough training; services exceeded expectations throughout—from well-stocked shops where hats/souvenirs could be purchased too! Discovering how many Kamenoi Hotels exist nationwide during this first visit inspired thoughts about exploring others someday soon beyond just here within beautiful Izukogen itself. Lastly regarding meals: among four course options offered overall portions seemed slightly modest unless choosing seasonal crab buffet plans (which sufficed).     I had high expectations.

    The check-in service was excellent and very soothing. However, during check-out, the staff seemed busy and focused on their tasks, even when guests with lots of luggage or wheelchairs passed by, which felt a bit disappointing. The Room's private indoor bath had stairs, making it safe for my elderly mother to use comfortably. However, the floor after bathing was uneven due to drainage design, making it difficult for elderly individuals to walk. The bed was slightly high; a step stool would be helpful. The toilet door opens inward, making the space tight and challenging for elderly or physically impaired guests; an outward-opening door would provide more space and comfort. For breakfast time, adding features like film coverings or blinds to soften the morning sunlight would allow guests to enjoy their meal while admiring the beautiful ocean view. I understand this might be challenging but hope you can consider these suggestions.

    It was my first stay, and for a room with an open-air bath, the price was reasonable. The accommodation overall, including the room, was clean and spacious, and I especially appreciated the large balcony in the room. However, there were a few concerns. There were many foreign staff members at this accommodation who worked hard to provide service. However, perhaps due to being in training, their attention to detail was lacking, which was slightly disappointing. At the breakfast buffet venue in particular, while I was getting food, a staff member abruptly added more food to the station and bumped into me without saying anything before walking away. The breakfast buffet itself lacked distinctive features; everything tasted ordinary. The dried horse mackerel (aji) stood out as particularly bad—it was small, overcooked to hardness, cold—and it felt like the worst dried horse mackerel I've ever had at an accommodation in Izu. The lounge offered limited snacks and average alcoholic beverages that fell short of expectations. Upon checkout and departure, there were no staff members assisting with carrying bags or seeing us off—this came as quite a surprise. We also couldn't have our photo taken outside by any staff member at the entrance area; this too left us disappointed. While there are several areas for improvement here and there that could enhance guest satisfaction further if addressed even slightly—I would consider visiting again if these issues are improved upon!

    The overall design of the building, furnishings, equipment, and amenities were all satisfactory. The lounge was thoughtful and welcoming, and every staff member was kind and attentive. The meals were delicious, making for a truly enjoyable experience. I would love to stay here again.

    I used it for my mother's birthday.

    The experience was absolutely amazing. I used this place to celebrate my mother's birthday, and despite the last-minute Reservation, we were pleasantly surprised with a thoughtful birthday message card and a towel decoration shaped like a cake. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with textures that even my mother, who uses dentures, could enjoy. She was very pleased with the meals. The Onsen was delightful as it changes daily, allowing us to enjoy it both in the morning and at night. My mother, who has knee issues, mentioned that she could relax comfortably here. The view of the sunrise over Izu Oshima from our standard room was breathtakingly beautiful. It truly felt like an experience worth more than its price. The only minor downside was not being able to locate the refrigerator in our room. However, the service provided by a Vietnamese staff member (I believe) was exceptional—her Japanese skills were excellent and her attentiveness made our stay even better. If I visit Izu again, I would definitely choose this place once more. Thank you for giving us such an unforgettable day!

    I had a very relaxin...

    I had a very relaxing stay, even though it was just for one night. The view of the ocean from the water terrace connected to the lobby lounge was stunning, and I immediately enjoyed relaxing on the terrace chairs after checking in at the lounge. The complimentary drinks at the lounge were a delightful touch. The staff were polite, friendly, and attentive to details. They kindly assisted with taking photos and made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless with an air purifier running, so there were no unpleasant odors at all. It felt very clean and comfortable. For dinner, we enjoyed a seasonal "Winter Delicacies Kaiseki" course featuring local ingredients. The sirloin steak with red wine sauce was delicious, and the simmered golden-eye snapper had a slightly sweet flavor. Alongside rice, we were served seaweed; I added it to my soup while my husband followed staff recommendations by pouring snapper broth over his rice along with seaweed. Breakfast included two rich smoothies that felt nourishing in the morning. The sea bream tororo and horse mackerel namerou paired perfectly with rice. Since it was a weekday stay, the bath area wasn’t crowded and was impeccably clean. The open-air bath accessed via stairs in the morning was incredibly refreshing. Not having to bring towels from our room is definitely a plus point. I would love to stay here again someday—thank you for your hospitality!

    We stayed as a couple. The Facility and amenities are designed with accessibility in mind and have been renovated to take full advantage of the location, leaving nothing to be desired. One highlight is the dining experience, where the chef's sense of taste is truly remarkable. Another standout is the customer service; although there are now young and multicultural staff members, everyone provides high-level service with smiles and attentiveness, responding well to detailed requests, making our stay very pleasant. It’s evident that Kamenoi places great emphasis on management skills and staff training.

    Group Hotel

    I usually stay at accommodations with less than 10 rooms or small-scale accommodations like ○○, but I decided to try a group hotel this time for an all-you-can-eat crab experience, which seemed interesting. The spacious lobby with a great view, the warm welcome, and the large public bath were much better than I expected. The renovated room and the premium lounge (though it would have been nice to have sparkling wine in the morning or some snacks) were quite good. As for the meals... there was no special consideration or service differentiation for premium guests. Additionally, the crab was half-frozen and overly salty. While the course meal itself was decent, it was disappointing overall. I hope they can enhance the value of choosing premium options a bit more. On the other hand, even with a standard stay, having free replacements for samue robes, free towels in the large public bath, and a small lounge available—these details truly reflect its four-star quality. Thank you very much; I look forward to staying again at another location in the future!

    "Relaxation x Luxury" coexist in perfect harmony, creating an incredibly comfortable stay. We lost count of how many times we said, "I'm so glad we came here." It was a truly moving experience after a long time. We visited as a couple for a getaway amidst parenting duties. The staff maintained just the right distance—neither too close nor too distant. From the bellboy to the front desk, room guides, dining staff, and shop attendants, every interaction was pleasant and thoughtful. Even with foreign staff members present, they blended seamlessly into the team. It gave us the impression that this Hotel values its employees. The simple yet modern Japanese-style interior design impressed us. The lobby and dining areas were arranged to minimize guest interactions while maintaining comfort. The carefully selected amenities without any excess were another highlight. Check-in was conducted while seated on sofas; when it was our turn, we were called over without having to wait in line. During this time, we enjoyed beautiful views and had access to complimentary coffee or juice at the lounge—turning "waiting time" into "relaxing time." We would love to visit again!

    It was a comfortable stay.

    The staff appeared to be well-trained. There were minor misunderstandings at the restaurant, but they acknowledged their mistakes and apologized, which left a positive impression. The lobby lounge was a bit disappointing due to the lack of snacks, but being able to take alcohol back to the Room was a plus! This was my first stay at Kamenoi Hotel, and with this level of quality, I’m considering visiting other locations in the future.

    We stayed as a group of five friends of 40 years. The Deluxe Suite Room was very spacious and well-equipped with amenities. Dinner was served banquet-style, with just the right portions, and everything was delicious. The breakfast buffet offered both Japanese and Western options, along with local specialties. The dried horse mackerel was particularly tasty! My friends also expressed their desire to visit again, giving it rave reviews. We were truly satisfied!

    The hotel was of high quality in every aspect. The meals were delicious, and the view was excellent. The amenities and in-room wear were comfortable and had tasteful designs. What stood out the most was the exceptional service from the staff, from arrival to departure. Their posture was impeccable, movements efficient yet pleasant to watch, with no wasted effort, all while maintaining a cheerful demeanor and providing thoughtful hospitality that went above and beyond expectations. I was particularly impressed by the well-maintained garden and facilities. Despite this level of care, staff presence during guests' stay is kept to a minimum—whether cleaning the garden or bathroom floors, checking Onsen water quality, or tidying up checked-out rooms—these activities are usually noticeable but not here. Yet everything is perfectly maintained; it’s remarkable. Points for improvement: - A clock in the bathroom would be helpful (to keep track of dinner or check-out times). - At night, it’s hard to enjoy the view from the open-air bath as it’s too dark. - The face towels are too thick (difficult to wring out due to weak grip strength). I would love to visit this hotel again!

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    The price was reasonable, the Room was clean, the bath was clean, the food was delicious, and although about half of the staff were foreign, they spoke fluent Japanese and provided excellent service without any delays. The operation of the Hotel was very smooth. I was satisfied with everything except for one disappointing experience at checkout. During check-in, I was informed by a young female staff member that if I registered on their app, I would receive 2,000 yen worth of credit that could also be used for massages. Based on this explanation, I registered for the app. However, at checkout, a male staff member told me that this credit could only be used for drinks. When I explained that the young woman at check-in had specifically mentioned it could be used for massages as well, he reluctantly said something like "It's not really allowed," in a way that made it seem like it was my fault. When I asked him to confirm with the person who assisted me during check-in to verify my claim as a matter of fact-checking, he did not do so but eventually applied the discount anyway. This made me feel as though I were being treated unfairly or accused of causing trouble unnecessarily ("customer harassment"). If they had simply confirmed what happened during check-in properly and acknowledged my explanation as truthful based on facts rather than assumptions or reluctance—it would have been resolved more professionally. While my stay overall at this wonderful Hotel left an impression due to its excellent operations despite challenges in staffing within today's hospitality industry—the unpleasant interaction during checkout unfortunately overshadowed an otherwise great experience. This is why customer service gets 3 stars from me despite everything else being fantastic!

    The view from the water terrace is stunning.

    5 minutes from Izu-Kogen Station by shuttle service. The view from the signature water terrace beyond the front desk is breathtaking. The lounge offers drinks like beer and snacks, perfect for enjoying after a soak in the large public bath. Each room features an open-air bath where you can relax while gazing at the sea. Dinner includes delicious fish and meat, while breakfast is a buffet with a wide variety of ingredients to enjoy. With excellent hospitality from the staff, this accommodation deserves full marks!

    Great value for money.

    This was my second stay. Last time, I stayed in a premium Room, so this time I chose the main building. The Room was spacious enough to enjoy views of the sea and sky from the bed. It was conveniently located near the elevator and restaurant, making it easy to get water or ice, and I had a comfortable stay. I appreciated that alcohol is now available at the lobby lounge. Dinner was just the right amount, while breakfast was so filling that I skipped lunch. The large public bath had few people, allowing me to relax and enjoy the Onsen leisurely. I would love to visit again!

    It was a very beautiful Hotel.

    The weather was not great, so it was unfortunate that we couldn't see the scenery as shown in the photos. However, the lobby, Room, and dining area were very clean and comfortable. I would have been happier if there had been more seafood at the breakfast buffet. There is one thing that bothered me a lot. There were foreign guests who spoke loudly in the bath area, showered while standing, submerged themselves or washed their faces in the bathtub, and entered with long hair untied. It was very unpleasant. Although there were notices posted on the right side of the entrance to the bath area, I think it would be better if they were displayed in a more prominent location.

    Escape the everyday and enjoy a touch of elegance.

    The spacious and modern lobby alone made me feel glad I chose this accommodation. The terrace features a water-filled area resembling a pool, surrounded by couches where you can relax. It looked exactly like the photos. The guest room also offers a distant view of the ocean through the window. The dining room is very spacious with a great atmosphere, allowing for leisurely meals both in the evening and morning. The food was highly satisfying as well. I did not use the large public bath, so I cannot comment on it. I’ve added this accommodation to my list of places I’d like to stay again. It’s a hotel I can recommend to all my acquaintances!

    I stayed in a Room with a bath. The Room was spacious and comfortable. Dinner was average, but breakfast offered a wide variety of Japanese and Western options, which I enjoyed. The late-night tantanmen had only one flavor, but it seems to change monthly. It might be difficult to try it unless you have dinner starting at 17:30.

    I booked a room with an open-air bath for two nights for a friend visiting Izu Kogen from overseas for the first time. They were more than delighted. The scenery, as well as the breakfast and dinner, seemed to exceed their expectations, and the staff was very kind. I'm truly glad I chose this hotel. I would love to visit again.

    I visited with my mother for our first mother-daughter trip. The room was clean, and the meals and bath were excellent!     Stayed for 2 nights in late September with my family of three in a room with a private open-air bath. The lobby was spacious, clean, and offered a stunning view, making check-in a relaxing experience. The room's bath was comfortable, and the amenities were reliable. Towels were also available in the public bath area. On the lobby floor, there were two drink bars offering free alcohol and snacks, and on the guest room floor, water and ice were conveniently available. The dining area was spacious, with enough distance between groups for a pleasant atmosphere. My daughter is sensitive to loud noises and dislikes the sound of crying babies, so I requested in the booking notes to be seated away from groups with small children. The staff kindly accommodated this request, which was greatly appreciated. The meal was a well-balanced Japanese course, not overly heavy, and the sashimi was particularly delicious. After 9 PM, "night soba" was served in the same area, which was perfect for a light snack after dinner and a bath. The hotel was not only clean and conveniently designed but also stood out for the refined hospitality of the staff, who were attentive without being overbearing. Although I travel often, I rarely write reviews. However, I wanted to share my positive experience and hope this feedback reaches the hotel staff. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    I stayed for two nights in a room with a private open-air bath. The moment I opened the door, I was overwhelmed by the breathtaking ocean view right in front of me. The sunrise, sunset, moonlit night, and moon road were simply spectacular. Dinner was exquisite kaiseki cuisine, not only delicious but also beautifully presented with an atmosphere that made it feel like a truly special treat. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options that were exciting even before eating. The yam and grated mountain yam with yellowtail and customizable ochazuke were absolutely delicious. It ended perfectly with freshly made fluffy French toast and latte from the live kitchen—a perfect breakfast to energize your day. The staff members were all warm, kind, and attentive to every detail, which was incredibly comforting. With stunning views, exceptional cuisine, and heartfelt hospitality—this accommodation is highly recommended!

    It was truly wonderful.

    Everything was excellent. The Onsen relieved my husband's back and waist pain, and it alleviated my shoulder pain. We have visited many Onsens before, but this was the first time we experienced such relief. However, I think it would be better if there were handrails in the bathroom of the room.

    The meals were very delicious, and the staff provided attentive and pleasant service, making my stay enjoyable. Spending time on the terrace gazing at the sky was so relaxing that I lost track of time, creating a luxurious moment I wished could last forever. However, in the large public bath, some foreign guests' manners were concerning. Some entered wearing swimsuits or spoke loudly, which disrupted the relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, while it seemed that circulation was maintained in the open-air bath, other baths did not appear to have circulating water, which made them feel less clean and caused hesitation to use them. It would be appreciated if the hotel could strengthen its guidance or notices regarding these matters for a more comfortable experience. Furthermore, the bed in my room was a single-sized adjustable type similar to a nursing care bed and did not provide much comfort for relaxation. Overall, there were many positive aspects of my stay; however, addressing these minor issues could make for an even more satisfying experience.

    The view was excellent.

    The view was great, and the meals were just the right amount for our age group and very delicious. The open-air bath we visited during the day was so pleasant that we went again at night. However, there were many beetle-like insects on the stairs leading up, which made us uncomfortable, so we turned back and couldn't enter. While it's understandable given the natural location near the mountains, it was disappointing. The Room's private open-air bath had no insects, allowing us to relax and enjoy it fully.
