    A Relaxing Resort for Adults

We stayed to celebrate my husband’s belated birthday. The rain from the day before stopped while we were on our way to the Hotel, and we were able to enjoy the beautiful views we had been looking forward to. The scenery from the hilltop was breathtaking and truly helped us forget everyday life. At the welcome service, we enjoyed sparkling wine right away. The snacks were also beautifully presented. For dinner, we chose Western cuisine, served at just the right pace by the staff. Here as well, we could enjoy our choice of alcohol free of charge. Sparkling wine was also available at breakfast, and we enjoyed a stylish meal while appreciating how wonderful the all-inclusive plan was. The views of both sea and mountains from the open-air bath were amazing. Hotels with a deep bath in the large public bath are rare, so I really enjoyed it. It was also nice that it wasn’t too crowded—perhaps because there is an open-air bath in each Room. The relaxation Room after bathing looked like a great place to unwind too, and one night didn’t feel like enough. The staff were kind and attentive, which made us want to visit again. Overall, our stay had a calm atmosphere that helped us relax and forget daily life. Next time, we’ll visit in a different season.

It was disappointing that I couldn’t relax in the in-house loungewear.

This was my first stay here. Overall, there were a few points that felt somewhat disappointing. The first thing that stood out was that we had to change into our own clothes to go to meals, rather than wearing the in-house loungewear. Since this applied not only to dinner but also breakfast, after using the Onsen I had to change into my own clothes before going to eat. In particular, I felt uncomfortable putting on my own clothes while I was still sweating after bathing. Even though the Onsen left me feeling refreshed, I ended up changing into my own clothes before I had cooled down, then changing back into the in-house loungewear after returning to the Room following the meal, which felt a bit inconvenient. One of the attractions of an Onsen Accommodation is being able to relax and enjoy meals in in-house loungewear straight after bathing, so I wish this point had been explained more clearly in advance. Also during the course meal, staff came repeatedly to clear plates even though we had not finished eating. Each time it made me feel rushed, and I could not enjoy the meal at a relaxed pace. There were some good points as well, but since I stayed specifically to unwind, my honest impression is that it would have been better if the overall environment and service were more relaxing.

Although it rained during our stay, we were very satisfied.

It rained throughout our stay, so we could hardly enjoy the views the Hotel is known for, but the Room, the staff’s service, the amenities, and the welcome drink were all wonderful, and we were truly able to relax and enjoy our time. The meals were delicious, and the anniversary cake was also excellent. Next time, we would like to visit when the weather is better.

I stayed here on a trip with my daughter. It was a wonderful Hotel, and the warm, thoughtful care from all the staff left a lasting impression on me from the beginning to the end of our stay. Although our train arrival time didn’t quite match the Shuttle Service schedule in advance, they waited for us for about five minutes and kindly told us, “We’ll be waiting, so it’s okay,” which was incredibly helpful. Even before we arrived, I could truly feel how much they value their guests, and it made me happy and reassured as we headed there. The guidance and explanations inside the Hotel were very kind and easy to understand, and the meals I had been looking forward to were absolutely delicious. The bath in our Room was also excellent, and I was able to relax deeply both physically and mentally. Thanks to the staff’s warm hospitality, my daughter and I were able to make wonderful memories. I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Dinner was disappointing.

Stayed for one night from 8/31. The day before we went, I tried following the route shown on the car navigation system using Google Maps, and the road became extremely narrow—so much so that I wondered, “Isn’t this actually a walking route?” If you’re driving, I strongly recommend not following your car navigation system and instead taking the route provided by the Hotel. After following the winding uphill road that the Hotel had shared in advance, we finally arrived. When we pulled up at the entrance, a staff member carried our luggage for us and moved our car to the parking lot. It’s a beautiful Hotel inside and out, which immediately lifted my spirits. The guest room was spacious and spotless both indoors and on the balcony—very comfortable. The resort room was also spacious and pleasant both inside and on the terrace. There was no one else in either the resort room or the gym, so we were able to relax at our own pace. The courtyard (WABE Garden) felt a bit dim at night; I thought it could use a little more lighting design. Overall, I was very satisfied with the Hotel’s interior/exterior design, Facility features/equipment, and amenities. The staff were generally good as well, but it was sometimes hard to understand Japanese from the person who guided us to our room. It also felt like they were giving a scripted explanation, so I had an impression that you might miss parts unless you listened very carefully. And then there was dinner (Western cuisine), which I had been looking forward to. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. I couldn’t believe cheese fondue was served as part of a course meal. I’m not denying fondue itself—but including it in a course? Isn’t that cutting corners? The main dish—abalone steak—had an odd flavor and an unclear texture; I didn’t find it tasty at all. I also had both white and red wine, but the red had almost no aroma and left me disappointed. After dinner dessert: wanting to try various items, I ate everything except the gateau chocolate cake, but they were all overly sweet. I was relieved that breakfast (Japanese cuisine) tasted normal. Perhaps my expectations were too high beforehand; overall my rating isn’t very high. Dinner (Western cuisine) really brought down my impression.

It was just as I expected.

This is the first Hotel I’ve ever stayed at again after thinking, “I want to come back here.” Honestly, my first stay was so good that I worried it might not live up to my expectations this time, but that wasn’t the case at all. The Room was clean and easy to use, the meals were delicious, and the open-air bath in the Room was outstanding. The staff’s hospitality was also very welcoming—it’s a Hotel that truly makes you want to return. I’d like to visit in winter next time as well. Thank you very much.

This was my first stay, and I was completely satisfied with everything—the Room, spa treatments, baths, and meals! Since it’s all-inclusive, there were complimentary drink services in various areas, and it was wonderful to enjoy the café while soaking in the footbath. The amenities were well stocked, and perhaps because it was a weekday, the baths were almost private so I could relax at my own pace. There’s also a gym, making it an ideal Hotel stay. I’d love to stay again.

    Your First Solo Trip

I visited this Hotel for a one-night getaway during my short summer vacation, hoping to relax alone and do nothing at all. The moment I stepped into the entrance, the open views of sky, sea, and greenery instantly lifted my spirits. The beautiful corridor leading to the Room, known as the “Moon Road,” was also impressive, and the Room I stayed in was spacious and very comfortable. All Rooms offer an ocean view and come with an open-air bath. I was able to soak at my own pace, forget about work, and truly unwind. I also appreciated that it is all-inclusive. After bathing I enjoyed a beer, and at dinner I was able to try three different wines. Thank you very much for your hospitality—I thoroughly enjoyed my first solo trip.

You’ll want to come back again.

This was a repeat visit, and once again it did not disappoint. This time we stayed in the West Wing, and both the Room and the open-air bath were clean and comfortable, with a great view. We were very satisfied with both the Western and Japanese meals. The view from the deep bath was also wonderful. We were able to relax in the lounge as well. We took home some delicious bread and donuts as souvenirs, so the satisfaction continued even after we returned home. We look forward to staying with you again.

Stunning Views and a Refined Space

This time, we stayed for two nights. I couldn’t forget how impressed I was when I first visited in spring, so I returned during the summer. As before, everything was impeccably clean down to every detail, and the air conditioning was perfect. In particular, the fragrance throughout the corridors was so soothing it felt like it could heal you. We were blessed with great weather, and every corner of the property was picture-perfect. The meals were outstanding—there is nothing more to say. We also really enjoyed indoor activities such as the gym and table tennis, and felt truly refreshed. The staff’s service was also very pleasant—attentive without being overbearing.

    Thank you for taking...

Thank you for taking care of us for two nights. The view was spectacular, and for three days I was continually moved by the clouds drifting at the same height, birds flying by, and the ever-changing scenery. I also thoroughly enjoyed both the in-Room bath and the deep bath. The entire Hotel was quiet and calm, which made it very comfortable. However, I felt something lacking in all of the meals. Since Akakura and Tofuya (in the same group) were completely satisfying in every way, I chose this Accommodation with high expectations—but perhaps there weren’t many options… It didn’t leave a strong impression, even though there was attention to detail. At check-in, I thought I might be able to choose Japanese cuisine on the second night, but due to my own lack of research, dinner ended up being Western-style on both nights. Night 1: Western-style dinner Day 2 morning: Western-style breakfast Day 2 lunch: I went to the lounge excited to eat rice dishes, but surprisingly they were sold out! Only gratin and pasta… Night 2: With Western-style dinner—because of my age and personal preference—I couldn’t get even a bite of bread down… Disappointing. Day 3 morning: Japanese breakfast —the rice was delicious. As others have commented as well, during the Japanese breakfast we were told something like “because there are guests coming later, please finish within an hour.” The wording felt like something that should be improved. It’s such an important meal, so that phrasing was unfortunate—this was the only disappointing service experience. Still, while looking at that scenery and wrapped in fluffy towels, I truly enjoyed doing nothing at all. Thank you very much.

A beautiful Hotel with great views and a fresh, modern feel

It was so good that I’m writing a Review for the first time. Everything felt new and refreshing! The open-air bath in the Room was great, and the deep bath with a beautiful view was amazing—I went in many times. The sauna was also great, around 100°C? Nice and hot. It would have been even better with a cold plunge pool, but I could still relax with the cold shower. The meals didn’t particularly impress me—just average. But the all-inclusive plan was wonderful, with white wine and three kinds of red wine? I’d love to stay again, so please keep it as beautiful as it is!

    The views are breathtaking.

After climbing a long, steep hill, we arrived at the Hotel lobby, which had a breathtaking view and instantly lifted our spirits. It seems they had received a handover from Tofuya, the group Hotel where we stayed the day before, and the front desk offered us congratulatory words for our anniversary. The view from our Room and the open-air bath was also spectacular. The view from the standing bath in the large public bath—and the hot water itself—were both excellent. The meals were generous yet still an amount we could finish. We also appreciated the service of being able to enjoy tea for an hour even after checkout. It was a wonderful trip.

We were able to relax and enjoy a quiet stay.

We stayed for a two-night getaway starting August 6. The road from Atagawa was narrow and a bit challenging, but it was well worth it—we were rewarded with an amazing view. The view from our Room was wonderful, and the view from the deck between the East Wing and West Wing was especially breathtaking; we could have sat there forever. As for the Onsen, the open-air bath in our Room was spacious enough to relax in comfortably, and the large public bath also had a great view. The water was deep but very relaxing. We also enjoyed unwinding at the outdoor footbath. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with just the right portions. With all-inclusive service, we could enjoy drinks freely and had a truly enjoyable time. The welcome drink at the café was also nice. Because everything else was so excellent, a few small points stood out: the refrigerator in our Room didn’t get very cold, so some of the drinks didn’t taste as refreshing as they should have. Also, the dehumidifier’s water tank hadn’t been emptied; it filled up on our first night and kept sounding an alarm until we dealt with it—something I hope can be improved. We were happy to find drinks and ice cream prepared in the lounge outside the large public bath, but I wish the ice cream (Pino) had been kept colder—it seemed partially melted inside. One more thing: on our second night’s Western-style dinner day, after dinner we were invited to enjoy fireworks outside after using the footbath. However, after lighting just one handheld firework, nothing further was offered and it ended without any encouragement to continue. If that is all that is provided, I don’t think this service is necessary—and there’s no need to have staff standing by for it. That said, these are minor issues overall. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay.

    Great even during a typhoon!

We visited the day before a typhoon approached, in strong wind and rain. The mountain road near the Accommodation was quite challenging without navigation. Inside the Facility, the building felt solid, and it was so quiet and calm that we hardly noticed the storm outside. Spending time on the café terrace felt special, and we were able to truly relax while taking in the spectacular view. The open-air bath in our Room was also unaffected by the bad weather, with a perfectly comfortable temperature—absolutely wonderful. The interior was clean as well, and we had a very comfortable stay. As for the meals, to be honest, compared with other Accommodations in a similar price range, we would have appreciated a bit more creativity. That said, the bread was extremely delicious—so much so that we wanted seconds—but there was somehow an atmosphere that refills might not be allowed, so we held back. What left the strongest impression was the deep open-air bath at 6:00 a.m. Because of the stormy weather, there was thick fog with zero visibility, but watching it suddenly clear all at once out over the sea was mystical and became an unforgettable memory for us—a true “the early bird catches the worm” moment. On our way to check-out, we were also struck by how pleasant it felt to receive such lively greetings from several female staff members we met in the hallway—it really stayed with us. Next time, we would love to visit again to see Moon Road. Finally, thank you very much for your thoughtful seating arrangement during meals and for your flexible support when we requested a schedule change right before dinner due to feeling unwell. Even though it was during a typhoon, it became a wonderful memory for us.

    Repeat booking: Done

We received a warm welcome, and the moment we arrived it felt like we’d stepped into a different kind of time. The front desk explanations were easy to understand, and although the building layout is a bit complex, we got used to it quickly. The welcome drinks (right after our long drive we were served ice-cold draft beer, sparkling wine, red and white wine, and snacks) are available until 16:30, so checking in a little early is recommended. Since an open-air bath in the Room was a must for us, we came really looking forward to it—and both the Room size and the bathtub size exceeded our expectations! The view was great too, and we immediately felt that a longer stay would be even better. The large public bath is 120 cm deep! Amazing view! Right outside the bathing area there’s a lounge with ice cream (Pino), jelly cups, and canned beer—such a treat. We enjoyed every dish of the dinner course. All-you-can-drink beverages too: draft beer, highballs (Dewar’s), three kinds each of red and white wine, plus sparkling wine (be careful not to overdo it). The staff were cheerful and made it a truly wonderful time. For breakfast we chose Japanese style—absolutely the right choice. Shizuoka-grown Koshihikari rice cooked in a traditional kamado stove; I had two refills. Even refilled on charcoal-warmed nori seaweed as well. We will definitely come again.

    The best hidden resort!

We stayed from August 1 to 2 for my girlfriend’s birthday trip. From the moment you step into the Hotel, you’re overwhelmed by the incredible setting—this alone is more than satisfying! The Hotel is kept beautifully clean, and the stunning views throughout are truly soothing. The amenities are well stocked, and the food is unbelievably delicious—everything feels exceptionally fulfilling. During meals, the staff always watched the timing and brought each dish at just the right moment, and they even helped us celebrate her birthday. Every member of staff was genuinely wonderful, and we were grateful from start to finish. It became an unforgettable birthday trip. Thank you so much—we’ll definitely stay again!

    A Wonderful Time

I stayed alone to unwind. Solo stays used to be rare, but they’ve become common recently, and I truly appreciate that. This Hotel has an amazing view. After check-in, I enjoyed beer and sparkling wine while looking out at the sea. Then I soaked in the open-air bath in my Room while watching the ocean. Even when heading to meals, I would stop and look at the sea. You can see the ocean from most areas of the Hotel, so it was a truly wonderful place. Next time, I’d like to visit in a different season. Thank you very much.

Plenty of meals are provided, etc.

Far from the typical image of the area around Atagawa Station, this was a “sky-high” Accommodation perched along a ridge. It was wonderful in itself, but there were a few points that concerned me: - The all-inclusive offering was only partial. Only the items initially stocked in the Room refrigerator were included; additional orders cost extra. - The standing bath is impressive and powerful, but there was debris floating in it. - Partly due to my age, the dinner course had too many dishes. It’s an issue for the main dish to come after the cheese fondue. I’d like you to reconsider the composition and portion sizes. - Because there are few shuttle bus services, we needed to adjust our travel Plan accordingly.

It was the best two days. There was no humidity, and it was so cool it hardly felt like July heat. The food was delicious, and we had a wonderful time. We were moved by the birdsong, the cicadas’ chorus, thunder, and rainbows, and even by the ever-changing weather.

I had made a Reservation for June, but due to the possibility that trains would be suspended because of a typhoon, I couldn’t make the trip. I later rebooked and stayed here instead. In June, you kindly reached out to me, and I was truly touched. Thank you very much. It was such a wonderful Hotel that one day wasn’t enough. I really enjoyed the spacious Onsen with a great view at Fukayu. Even though it was cloudy, it was still lovely. The in-room Onsen was also relaxing—I soaked many times while listening to birds singing. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. Dinner was served at just the right pace and in perfect portions, and I enjoyed the meal while listening to the chef’s stories. For breakfast, the croissants were wonderfully flaky, and I could take my time in a seat with a beautiful view. Everyone at the Hotel was very kind; whenever we passed each other, they greeted me with a smile, which made my stay very pleasant. Thank you again. I’d love to visit again.

Such delicious food deserves to be enjoyed.

I liked this place so much that I stayed here every year. This time I chose the chef’s choice meal Plan. It was shabu-shabu. To be honest, the meat wasn’t good. It was tough and had a strong odor. What I loved about this place was how good the food usually is, so I was disappointed that it ended up being shabu-shabu—I had really been looking forward to enjoying the cuisine here. The chawanmushi and simmered golden eye snapper were delicious, which made it even more disappointing. You can have shabu-shabu anywhere, so it didn’t make me feel like it was worth coming here specifically for it. The Japanese breakfast is still delicious as always. It was a shame that the staff were unfriendly in the morning, though.

The washing area in the large public bath needs improvement.

We were allowed to use the all-inclusive plan before check-in, which made us feel like we got a little extra before being shown to our Room. Right away, I went to the large public bath and was impressed by the wonderful view, but I was surprised to find there was only space for one person at the washing area, so we had to wait our turn. Back in the Room, as I carefully read the Hotel information booklet, I noticed it was written there. If something is different from a typical Hotel, I’d appreciate a brief explanation at check-in. In that case, it feels no different from a private open-air bath. At dinner, what impressed me about the simmered whole kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) was that even the bones could be eaten—crispy like rice crackers. We were told this in advance by the staff in charge of the meal, and when we tried it at the end it was truly delicious and became a favorite. It was my first time experiencing this and it made me very happy—thank you to the head chef! Overall, including the service, everything was good!

    Family Trip, Part 1

Starting this July, my mother, my sister, and I decided to take a family trip once a month, and we chose this Hotel for our first one. There are so many wonderful Accommodations with Onsen in Izu that it was hard to decide, but since my sister and I love drinks, we were drawn to the all-inclusive plan. In reality, we couldn’t make it in time for the lounge (it’s open until 5:00 PM), so we weren’t able to use it at length. However, drinks, juice, ice cream, and more were also available in relaxing areas near our Room and by the large public bath area, and we were very satisfied with the wide variety of drinks at dinner as well. Our whole family loves taking photos, and a staff member kindly took pictures of us in the lobby—my mother was thrilled. It turned into an amazing family trip, and we would definitely love to visit again if we have the chance!

    The deep bath is amazing.

Because I had to leave early the next morning, I could only use it once, but the deep bath was outstanding. Since there aren’t many guest rooms, it never felt crowded. The water feature on the way to the Room feels refreshingly cool and pleasant. Spending time here, letting your mind go blank while taking in the view, is the ultimate luxury. After check-in, there was a complimentary free-drink service including alcohol until 5:00 p.m., which made for an elegant and relaxing time. Dinner was delicious, with a choice of main dish. The staff member who served us—visiting from Akakura—made our dining experience feel especially refined with their attentive guidance. We didn’t realize it was a free-drink Plan, so the wonderful meal felt even more luxurious. We were told that other Hotels in the group include Tofuya Resort & Spa-Izu and Akakura Kanko Hotel. Without realizing it, we’ve now completed them all on this trip. Next time, I’d like to visit on a day when I can enjoy a leisurely check-out.

    The facilities are excellent.

I have visited several times, and I am truly grateful for the beautiful scenery, the wonderful Onsen, and the comfort of the Room—all of which leave me feeling very satisfied. The meals were also excellent, and the sommelier who kindly offered wine was exactly what you would expect from a true Hotel professional. I also received pleasant service from both the dinner staff and the welcome lounge team. On the other hand, check-in felt like a municipal office reception: even though we were seated on sofas, we had to go up to the counter one by one when called, and I found the fast-paced, somewhat rigid explanation rather tiring. I had expected that at a first-class Resort Hotel, staff would come to assist guests at their seats... At breakfast as well, as soon as I sat down I was abruptly told to finish within one hour. Of course no one stays longer than that for breakfast anyway, but it left an unpleasant impression—and then items on a tray were carried with one hand around a corner and placed in front of me before eating... Communication between staff at checkout and the Shuttle Service driver was also poor. Although many staff members were standing by in front of reception, no one saw us off when we left; there were many moments where I felt the service was careless. I returned home with mixed feelings, thinking it was such a shame that these issues diminished what is otherwise an excellent property.

Due to the rain, the limited express train terminated at Ito, and when I called to ask what to do, thank you very much for coming by car to pick me up as far as Izu-Kogen. I had a relaxing time at the Accommodation. The meals were a bit too much for me, so I thought it would be nice if there were a smaller-course option. Although we weren’t blessed with good weather this time, the pure white, misty scenery was lovely in its own way. We also really enjoyed the private bath and were very satisfied. I was happy to be given the same Room as last time, but there was significant water leakage from the shower, and I noticed a slight sewage smell. Could it be due to the season? Even so, this is still one of my favorite Hotels. My dream of a Multiple Night Stay hasn’t come true yet, but I’d like to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much for taking care of us again on this trip.
