    It was very relaxing.

    It was truly comfortable for guests traveling with pets. I had read in a Review that the meals felt a bit lacking, but they were more than enough for us. When I mentioned that I don’t like the final dessert, they changed it to something else, and even remembered the next day and checked with me—such thoughtful care was greatly appreciated. Since we stayed two nights, it would be nice to have a Japanese meal option as well. The bath was small, and there wasn’t a souvenir shop, so there were some things that felt lacking for people, but even so, Sora was able to relax without stress, which made it worth it. There were plenty of dog runs, and the staff responded with smiles no matter what—we felt this Hotel was full of hospitality. Because the QR code didn’t arrive in advance, check-in was a bit of a hassle.

    Although it rained throughout our stay, we were able to spend our time comfortably.

    My spouse and I stayed for three nights with our dog (5 years old). This time we had a bit of sunshine only on the first day, and it was almost all rain from days 2 to 4. However, this Hotel has a large indoor dog run, so I don’t think our pet felt much stress. Because of the rain we spent most of our time in the Room, but the Room has a wide horizontal window, and the entire view is filled with green leaves from the trees outside. While in the Room, we could relax the whole time—lying on the bed and dozing while looking at the leaves outside, having tea, and just taking it easy. And whenever the rain stopped for a while, we would go out for a walk with our pet; when we came back, we washed our dog’s paws in the dog shower room and returned to the Room to relax again... It really feels like being at home—an extremely comfortable Hotel that is also very convenient to stay in. Everything is always thoroughly cleaned and very sanitary; I don’t even remember seeing any dirt on the benches at the outdoor dog run. Best of all, all of the staff are truly pleasant, which makes for an exceptionally comfortable stay. Meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant together with your pet, so one of my favorite things is being able to stay with our pet throughout the entire trip. We have stayed here several times before, and there are many different types of guests. There are couples like us as well as families—and surprisingly many solo travelers (both men and women). Pets also vary from one to several dogs. Also—this always impresses me—there are almost no dogs barking in the restaurant. But this time something fun happened at dinner: A staff member dropped something with a loud crash. Even then, all of pets remained quietly seated. The staff member immediately called out loudly, “We’re very sorry. Excuse us.” Right then—as if replying—a pet somewhere gave a loud “Woof!” The whole restaurant burst into laughter... It was such a warm and enjoyable moment. Although it rained throughout this stay as well, both our pet and we were able to feel fully refreshed as always. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

    The Facility is well-equipped, and the meals are excellent.

    Both the building and the surrounding area were more than satisfactory for traveling with a dog, but the meals were not good at all. It was supposed to be a “premium course,” but I don’t think it’s normal to serve the exact same menu for two days even on a Multiple Night Stay. It was disappointing because the Facility and amenities were otherwise excellent.

    Are they actually cleaning...?

    This was my first stay at this Accommodation. I checked in using a tablet, but the staff member who assisted me was... There was no smile, their voice was quiet, and there was no explanation at all about the amenities or the dog treat bar. After entering the Room, I ended up searching because I thought, “There are no amenities...”. Maybe it can’t be helped since the building is old, but the Room door wouldn’t close unless you gave it a final hard push. The Room floor was extremely dirty (when I wiped my dog’s paws they turned pitch-black), and even inside the refrigerator was so dirty that I hesitated to put food in it. Is cleaning not being done...? What bothered me most was the crate set up in the Room. The Room itself didn’t have an odor noticeable to a human nose, but inside the crate there was a smell strong enough for even humans to notice. The indoor dog run and the large public bath Onsen were good. However, I don’t think I will return.

    Solo traveler with one pet

    This was my first stay, and I was able to relax and unwind. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor dog runs within the Facility, along with a great selection of amenities and dog treats. They even had photo spots and raincoats, so it was perfectly equipped for traveling with a dog. I chose a Plan that allowed in-Room dining. The French dinner—especially the bouillabaisse packed with seafood—was delicious. Breakfast bread was also excellent. Since I was traveling solo, I used the bath in my Room, but the bath amenities were great as well, including POLA shampoo and skincare items such as lotion. The staff were kind and treated my dog warmly too. I would love to stay again.

    Hmm...

    Honestly, since it was a property I could book on IKYU, I felt reassured, but I probably won’t stay again. As soon as I entered the Room, there was a dog smell, and the door wouldn’t close properly. The food was average. It was nice that there were plenty of dog runs. Everything was managed via smartphone, which somehow didn’t feel relaxing. It might be fine for younger guests.

    The services and amenities were excellent. I noticed a bit of peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and some dirt on the windows, but overall it was clean and comfortable.

    A dog-friendly Accommodation where your pup comes first

    My first impression was that this was a dog-first Accommodation that eliminates waste as much as possible. In a good way, I felt they were making efforts to cut unnecessary spending while ensuring a comfortable stay. The meal portions were sufficient, but for guests on a Multiple Night Stay, I would have liked more variety—rather than almost the same menu every day, it would be great if the main dish at dinner could be changed up. The Onsen was comfortably warm, but having a water dispenser in the changing room would have made it easier to relax and enjoy it longer. Also, when staying with four people, the extra bed provided was quite firm, so I would appreciate an improvement there. The Hotel’s walking paths and dog run felt well integrated with nature and were very nice. There were a few things that stood out to me, but overall I was satisfied.

    The Room was spacious and clean, but...

    Good points: The Room was spacious with an unusual layout, and our dog seemed to enjoy running around. Breakfast was a Japanese and Western buffet with a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious. Questionable points: I understand cost-cutting, but there was no direct phone line to the front desk, no box tissues, and no face towels in the washroom. This may suit those who prefer simplicity, but... What surprised me most was the in-room dinner: “Make it yourselves and eat as you like,” and “After you finish, put everything on the cart and leave it out in the hallway.” For those expecting a relaxed, leisurely dinner, this may be disappointing. With the limited selection at the shop and the Onsen being lukewarm, it ended up feeling like a one-night stay lacking a warm welcome.

    Now I understand what “Dog First” means.

    The dog run facilities are excellent. We also enjoyed the walking path that loops around the Hotel grounds. Both areas are covered with pine needles, which are very gentle on dogs’ paws (and people’s feet as well). Dirt doesn’t stick easily between their paw pads, so it was very quick and easy to rinse off before returning to the Room. Of course, the dog shower room for after coming back from outside was also easy to use, and towels were provided, so we could return inside the Hotel with clean paws. The breakfast buffet was fairly well stocked, and in particular the Japanese dishes—unohana (okara salad), simmered kiriboshi daikon (dried shredded daikon), and chikuzen-ni—were very delicious. We were able to enjoy a relaxing breakfast together with our dog. If possible, we would be happy if there were also some delicious Shinshu fruit. We chose in-Room dining for dinner, and since we were tired from a long trip, it was great to be able to eat slowly in our Room. Next time, we’d like a Multiple Night Stay. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Create memories with your grandchild.

    This time, I stayed with my two grandchildren to celebrate a birthday. Based on our previous stay, I chose this accommodation thinking my grandchildren would enjoy it. They loved the room and the bath, and above all, the buffet and main steak were a big hit for my picky-eating grandchildren! In the morning, we woke up to a light snowy landscape, and even our beloved dog was excited. We created wonderful memories. Thank you very much!

    Polite

    The check-in process started with a tablet operation. The staff were kind and attentive, making the stay comfortable. The bath was not very spacious and did not include an open-air bath. The meals were delicious, and even our dog enjoyed them! They disappeared quickly as our dog seemed to find them very tasty. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Dog-Friendly Accommodation

    As an accommodation prioritizing dogs, it was excellent. There were plenty of dog runs and treats readily available, allowing us to have a pleasant stay. The room was clean and functional, and the staff were courteous and considerate. However, as we had a multiple night stay, the meal content being almost identical was disappointing. Additionally, we would have appreciated new cups for the next day instead of reusing those from the previous day. We ended up washing them ourselves to reuse. We hope these aspects can be improved in the future. Traveling with dogs often requires extra care, but we are grateful for being able to enjoy a comfortable trip here. Thank you very much!

    For wonderful memories

    The spacious entrance, welcome board with our dog's name, drinks, and Christmas tree created a warm and cozy atmosphere. Everything was very clean, and the staff's hospitality was excellent! The restaurant meals, especially the steak, were delicious. We celebrated a birthday as a couple with a toast of local craft beer! Our dog seemed to enjoy running around in the dog park. Thank you for providing such wonderful moments for our family!

    It was a comfortable stay.

    I have stayed here several times, and it was a pleasant experience. The electronic key system is convenient as you don't need to carry a physical key. The Onsen, which includes a sauna, was refreshing. While the Facility shows some signs of aging, it feels clean and well-maintained.

    This is an accommoda...

    This is an accommodation we would like to use again as our beloved dog seemed very happy during the stay. However, the lock on the garden-side entrance of the open-air bath was broken and could not be secured, so we gave it a rating of -1 star. Additionally, during dinner, we ordered drinks at the beginning, but even after several dishes were served, the drinks did not arrive. When we followed up, we were told there were no chilled options available. We wish this had been communicated earlier as our initial dishes had already gone cold by then. For this reason, we gave another -1 star rating.

    Cost-Effective Option: Dog-Friendly & Affordable Rates

    While many hotels significantly raise their prices on weekends, "Yutorelo" stands out as a truly appreciated Facility for its "reasonable pricing" and being a "dog-friendly Hotel." The bath here is even more wonderful compared to "Karuizawa Yutorelo." However, as an area for improvement, it would be great if efforts could be made to address pet odors slightly more, similar to the standards in Karuizawa. Other than that, this is an excellent Hotel, and we would be delighted if just a bit more attention could be given to this aspect.

    Highly satisfied!

    The facility itself is older, so you may feel its age, but it is not inconvenient at all. The meals are plentiful and satisfying. Above all, there are many dog runs, so we had no trouble finding places to play. It’s a great accommodation for prioritizing your furry friends.

    Stylish and wonderful. However, the indoor dog run had a slight urine smell. It would be great if ventilation and cleaning could be improved. Also, the grass in the outdoor dog run was a bit long.

    I stayed at the accommodation to relax and spend time with my beloved dog, leaving behind the daily routine. I was looking forward to the restaurant meals, but I learned that it had changed to a half-buffet style starting in July. For those who made early reservations, prior notice or an option to revert to the previous meal style would have been appreciated. The dinner at the restaurant was limited to 90 minutes, and breakfast was 45 minutes, which did not provide a relaxed dining environment. We ended up rushing through our meals due to time constraints. It would have been helpful if this information had been mentioned during reservation. Perhaps a 120-minute dinner and a 60-minute breakfast system might have been more satisfactory. Additionally, I used the sauna but found that the clock inside was not working, which was disappointing as well. The check-in process being entirely operated via smartphone might be challenging for elderly guests. Providing written instructions could be more accommodating. On a positive note, dog treats were available in the lobby, which was delightful for pet owners. There were plenty of dog runs nearby where my dog had an amazing time playing around. The paw-washing area was also convenient and created an excellent environment for dogs overall!

    The efforts of our staff

    I have been using this accommodation since its previous name. I am concerned about the reduced number of staff, possibly due to keeping the Accommodation Fee unchanged despite rising costs. However, I do not feel any decline in service thanks to efforts like SNS-based payments and the hard work of the staff. While amenities have decreased, I find it better than having unnecessary items. I will definitely use this accommodation again.

    Pet-Friendly Accommodation

    Pet-friendly and budget-friendly accommodation. However, the soundproofing of the rooms, cleanliness of the facilities, and meals (dinner and breakfast) were honestly disappointing. There were two particularly concerning points: The cleanliness of the water facilities was poor, with yellow stains on the sink bowl, rust on the faucet, dirt in the shower holes, and weak water flow that dampened our spirits. The dog-exclusive garden and semi-open-air bath shown in photos were completely different from reality. The garden's grass was so withered it looked like autumn had arrived; the screen door for the semi-open-air bath was detached from its frame and unusable. Additionally, both screen doors and window frames were moldy and difficult to move smoothly. The room itself felt humid as if even the bedding was damp. I assume this might be due to cost-cutting measures. As for meals, given its economical price point, I found it understandable. Since I booked through IKYU.com thinking it would be reliable, this experience has made me decide to choose accommodations of a slightly higher class next time.

    A delightful moment

    This was our first trip with our dog. The Hotel was clean, and my daughter who accompanied us was also satisfied. We checked in during a heavy rainstorm. Although our dog uses an outdoor toilet, the availability of raincoats in various sizes was extremely helpful. There were also plenty of treats for dogs. It would have been even better if there were coffee and tea services available. The staff provided kind and attentive service. The Room was clean, but I noticed some dog hair left behind, which concerned me a little since our dog is a non-shedding breed. I enjoyed the Onsen after a long time, and our dog had fun interacting with other dogs as well. We had a wonderful time overall—thank you very much!

    The dog run is excellent.

    The reviews were good, and the price was very reasonable, so I stayed for one night. There were multiple dog runs, including a spacious one in the forest. Since all guests had dogs, meeting various breeds was the most delightful point! As for the facility, it felt old like an old vacation lodge. The unit bath in the room had a lingering smell similar to sewage. I used the large communal bath instead, but since there were only four showers, I had to wait when it got crowded. Although it rained occasionally during my stay and the weather wasn't great, I was happy with such an affordable stay.

    Is it worth the price?

    Due to a last-minute booking, I was able to stay at a relatively low price. At check-in, everything had to be handled via mobile phone, which was difficult for me as I'm not very good with phones. The middle-aged male staff at the front desk insisted on using the phone and only reluctantly offered assistance if absolutely necessary, which left me feeling quite uncomfortable. However, the restaurant staff were friendly, and the room was clean and spacious, so in the end, I felt it was worth the price. One concern was that the free drink coffee tasted like watered-down coffee and was very disappointing. Additionally, the free dog treats seemed cheap with additives in biscuits and extremely diluted goat milk... They were not replenished even when they ran out. Improvements in front desk service and free amenities would make for a better experience overall.
