Villa Rakuyu

We stayed here as a couple to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.Wanting to get away from the daily busyness of raising children and spend some long-overdue time alone together, we chose this Accommodation.We usually travel by car, but that means we can’t enjoy drinks along the way, so we looked for a great place to visit by train and made a Reservation here.When applying, I only wrote in the comments that we would be visiting for our 20th anniversary and didn’t make any requests. Even so, they surprised us with exceptional touches: a bouquet and a celebratory dessert plate marked “20th Anniversary” at the end of dinner, plus gifts at checkout. Thanks to their thoughtful hospitality, we had a truly wonderful time. Thank you very much.All of the staff were refined and attentive while maintaining just the right sense of distance, which allowed us to fully enjoy our Hotel stay.They also provided Shuttle Service to and from the station in a luxury car, and I was deeply impressed by how comfortable and effortless they made everything.The cuisine was outstanding, of course, and the in-Room bath and amenities were very comfortable.Although this is usually a members-only Accommodation, we are truly grateful that even general guests could stay through IKYU.As this is an upscale Accommodation, the price is naturally on the higher side—but we received service well worth it.In fact, compared with luxury hotels in central Tokyo, it felt almost inexpensive.It was an experience that recharged us and made us think: “We want to come back someday—so let’s work even harder until then!”

I was determined to take my elderly mother on a trip, so I searched with many criteria in mind—easy access from home, the distance from the station to the Accommodation, the view from the Room, Room size, and an in-room bath that would be easy for an older person to use. This Accommodation met every one of those requirements.The excitement began the moment you came to pick us up at the station in a Maybach, and when we saw the beautiful ocean from the lobby, I knew we had made the right choice. The welcome tea and traditional sweets at check-in were truly soothing. We were also lucky with wonderful weather, and we never tired of the ocean view through the large windows in our Room. Breakfast and dinner were thoughtfully prepared while making excellent use of local ingredients, allowing us to fully enjoy their natural flavors.My mother also seemed to truly enjoy traveling again after a long time and was happy that we made such lovely memories.Thank you as well for all of your staff’s attentive care. We would love to visit again with my mother.
