Is this Room available for booking?
Based on other guests’ Reviews, I had heard it smelled musty, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. When I was shown to the Room, I was told not to place my luggage nearby because the air conditioner was leaking water. Honestly, at that point I felt the Room should not be in use until it has been repaired. On top of that, water droplets were also dripping from another part of the ceiling. The air purifier—presumably placed there because of the mold smell—constantly showed humidity above 70% and occasionally displayed an odor warning alert... (wry laugh) It seems like a complete design flaw, and I even feel sorry for the staff running the property, but still, I would like you to reconsider whether this is really a Room that can be rented out as-is. Breakfast was very delicious.

An Accommodation you’ll want to stay at again and again.
This was my second stay. Breakfast was a buffet of bread and salad, plus a choice of one main dish from three options, and it was delicious. Since the Accommodation is a renovated warehouse, the Room is a little on the dark side, but very clean. I would like to stay here again when I visit Onomichi. Thank you very much.

Due to New Year’s Day
Thinking that not many shops would be open on New Year’s Day, I stayed on January 1, 2026. I was hoping for a relaxed stay, but the room felt a bit small. I wanted to get some work done, but there wasn’t really anywhere to work other than the main desk (which is probably typical for a city hotel), so it would have been nice to have an additional space. The bath and toilet were combined, and the door didn’t lock. There was also an order mistake with the meal; that itself was fine, but the response felt more like “sorry” in passing. Overall, it seemed to prioritize atmosphere over hospitality. Still, the morning ocean view was pretty nice. It might be worth staying once, but if asked whether I’d go again, it might be difficult.

We stayed for two nights at the end of the year with our family. It was unfortunate that we couldn't see outside from the Room, but the Room itself was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and my family kept saying they wanted to have that breakfast again after returning home. Next time, I would like to rent a bicycle and go cycling. Looking forward to staying again!

I felt completely refreshed both physically and mentally.
During a previous stroll near Onomichi Station, I passed by the beautiful exterior of Hotel U2 and dreamed of staying there someday. My wish has finally come true. The interior is chic and comfortable, and the meals were incredibly delicious, skillfully incorporating local ingredients. The hospitality of the staff was outstanding, allowing me to refresh both body and mind! Thank you very much!

Highly satisfied
Stylish Room, relaxing facilities, and delicious breakfast were satisfying. The staff was attentive, and I had a restful stay. The room's light switch was a bit hard to find, and I wish there was a better view outside—just a small wish!

The room felt very b...
The room felt very basic, but the damp smell from the shower curtain was noticeable. Additionally, with many black furnishings like bedside lights, dust was quite visible. There were also hairs in the bathtub, giving an overall impression that cleaning could be improved. On a positive note, being by the sea, the terrace seating at the café attached to the hotel was fantastic. The shop offered a fun selection of Setouchi-themed food and goods. At breakfast, it seemed that 90% of guests were international tourists.

A sophisticated Hotel
The quality of the hotel's restaurant was high, and the food was very delicious. However, it was disappointing that the staff lacked enthusiasm and that there was no view from the room's window. Considering its seaside location, it's a shame that you can't see outside, and I believe this is something future guests should be aware of when making a reservation. Unlike typical city hotels, I didn't feel much hospitality from the restaurant staff. Of course, there were some who provided good service. While the facility itself is excellent, as a whole accommodation experience, it wasn't particularly special. In this sense, I didn't feel it offered good value for money. Additionally, the shower temperature fluctuated unexpectedly at times. The hotel has garnered significant attention and expectations were high because of this. The concept itself is wonderful; however, I hope they can return to focusing on guest perspectives to move away from being an overly conceptualized hotel and provide a more comfortable accommodation experience.

Although it was a seaside Hotel, the frosted glass prevented us from seeing the ocean, and the dim lighting was inconvenient. These two points were a bit disappointing, but everything else was very satisfying. The breakfast was also delicious.

Located in a former ...
Located in a former shipping warehouse, this property offers a unique waterfront location. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. For four middle-aged guests, including wine, the total was ¥26,000. (It would have been even better if the pizza was slightly more reasonably priced.) The Room could have been a bit more spacious and open for added comfort. (The lighting and design might cater more to younger generations.)
