    Feedback: 1. The following.

    The food was not good—neither breakfast nor dinner. They call it “French,” but it was worse than home cooking. Terrible value for money! I thought booking through IKYU would be a good idea, but it was the worst. I was honestly put off that this property is listed on IKYU. I paid around 110,000 yen, but 30,000 yen would have been reasonable. Do not trust IKYU’s Reservation site.

    Overall, it’s wonderful.

    We stayed as a couple. Renting the whole place was wonderful. It offered a warm atmosphere and hospitality different from a luxury Hotel, and we were able to enjoy our time in privacy. Since our birthdays are close, we mentioned that when booking, and thanks to your thoughtful attention, we were very satisfied overall. We bought some local craft beer around Tobu-Nikko Station and relaxed in the Room early on, but since there was also draft beer available via room service, that sounds great too. The homemade plum wine was delicious as well. It’s true that we wished the open-air bath were a bit more spacious, and we considered taking off one star for that, but the indoor bath was large and excellent, so overall it’s 5 stars. There were other small things where we thought “it would be even better if this were improved,” but other aspects were wonderful enough to make up for them, so overall it’s 5 stars. We had a great stay. Thank you very much.

    It feels just like a luxurious villa.

    I stayed here with my son to relax and unwind from work. I was looking for an accommodation with an open-air bath, and I was very satisfied with the room. It was my oversight that the bath wasn't an onsen. The meals were Western-style. The meat was very tender, but it had a lot of fat, which might not suit everyone's taste. There were plenty of drink options, and the desserts were abundant as well. The room was absolutely wonderful. Since it was a "One More Heart" accommodation, it was a standalone house with a spacious second floor. Above all, the indoor bath was large and very relaxing. The amenities were well-stocked, there were plenty of towels available, and even pajamas were provided. The outdoor bath made of cypress allowed for an elegant time while listening to the sounds of nature at night. Although I got scared by buzzing bees and rushed out midway, everything else about it was fine. The bed on the second floor was large and there even was a massage chair! It seems like this place would be enjoyable even for larger groups!

    Get a Head Start on Summer

    I enjoyed an early summer vacation and had a relaxing time at the pension. Overall, it was a good experience. For dinner, the portions were quite large, especially the meat and rice towards the end of the meal. It would be even better if there were options for small rice or no rice at all. Although I believe I made this request, it might have been helpful to receive a response in advance if it wasn’t possible. That said, dinner was delicious aside from the portion size. Breakfast was also great with a good variety of dishes, and the bread stood out as particularly tasty. As mentioned in other reviews, meals here deserve high marks. However, since it's a pension, those who are sensitive to insects should take note. Additionally, I recommend visiting a convenience store early on as there are no shops nearby at all.

    This is my second stay.

    I stayed here again because I enjoyed the accommodation and meals two years ago. Last time, I visited Nikko Toshogu Shrine, and this time, I enjoyed a relaxing stay at the accommodation after stopping by Kirifuri Highlands. After relaxing in a private villa-style accommodation with an onsen and garden, I savored creative cuisine that could be enjoyed with chopsticks. The poêlé sea bream with browned butter sauce was particularly unforgettable.

    The room is a whole ...

    The room is a whole building rental with an open-air bath. The facility itself is not brand new (this is just a personal impression), but the warm service made for a very pleasant stay. The heating was well-equipped, so I didn't feel cold at all. The meals were served one dish at a time, with generous portions, and were very delicious. As for the bath, the open-air bath was just a tub, but it was very pleasant. The indoor bath is a unit bath, but it was very spacious and comfortable. Although it was just a one-night stay, it was very pleasant. Thank you very much.

    Pension Kibun

    The staff's courteous service was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed cold sake in the open-air bath while stargazing, and ended the experience with a beautiful unit bath, leaving me completely satisfied. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and enjoyable.
