    A city Hotel on a small island, close to the downtown area yet away from the hustle and bustle.

    This is a well-established, reliable Hotel in Amami. There is an Onsen on the top floor, and soaking in the open-air bath while taking in a panoramic view of Naze Port washes away your fatigue. From your Room, the ocean is right in front of you. The sea below has coral reefs, and tropical fish—even Nemo and friends—swim by. The staff are kind and always make you feel comfortable, so it feels like coming home. Whenever I visit Amami, I spend one night here and have dinner at Yani. Resting while looking out over Amami’s sea from your Room feels wonderful, and in the morning you can relax over breakfast with views of the garden and ocean—this is a Hotel that leaves you feeling refreshed.

    This is a truly wonderful Hotel. The front desk staff are very kind!

    The ocean is right in front of you! The Hotel’s tropical plants also make you feel the spirit of Amami. The front desk staff were kind and attentive, and I had a very pleasant stay. The food was GREAT!! Of course, the Room was also OK! This is No. 1 among the Hotels I’ve stayed at in the past few years. We drove all around in a rental car and fully enjoyed Amami!! I’d love to stay again, but I live in Hiroshima, so it’s far away... Still, I’m sure I’ll come back to stay at Yagijima Hotel!!! Thank you very much.

    3 nights in Amami

    The Hotel was bright and clean, and the large public bath was excellent. Breakfast also had a wide variety of options and was something I looked forward to each day! I would love to stay here again when I visit Amami.

    Ocean views from both the Room and the bath.

    I stayed for two nights with breakfast included. For dinner on both nights, the Hotel called a taxi for us and we went to eat in downtown Naze (about 10 minutes; ¥1,100–1,200 one way). At the bath on the top floor, they provided fresh towels at the reception each time, so we didn’t need to bring any from our Room. Makeup remover, toner, and lotion were also available in the bathing area. The open-air bath was very relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, with a different menu each morning. The staff were polite and friendly, and the international staff also spoke courteous Japanese that they had learned. It was a very comfortable stay.

    No Meals Included for two nights. I wanted to check the amenities in advance on my PC, but I couldn’t find the information. I especially wanted to confirm the nightwear; it was a samue-style set with shorts. I think many women would prefer long pants. The cups were stylish, but they had no handles and were too hot to hold, which was a bit inconvenient (I wanted to drink while it was still warm). The staff changed each time, but everyone was very pleasant. I travel home often and always book a Hotel, and this was the best one so far. Everything was excellent—the cleanliness, atmosphere, and service. Thank you very much.

    This is a Hotel I would like to visit again.

    This was my first time visiting Amami Oshima, my grandparents’ hometown. The surroundings were quiet, the goats were soothing, the food was delicious, and the Room was clean—an extremely satisfying Hotel. They even upgraded our Room, and I’m truly grateful. We also enjoyed a beautiful ocean view from the Room. When I visit Amami Oshima again, I would definitely like to stay at this Hotel. It became a wonderful memory.

    I was extremely satisfied with my stay here!

    My first solo trip to Amami Oshima for 3 days and 2 nights was unforgettable, and choosing this Hotel was absolutely the right decision. The Room was even more beautiful than in the photos, with a stunning view of the sea and Naze Port (where a cruise ship was docked) from the balcony. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Dinner, especially the Japanese meal on the second night featuring sashimi, local vegetables, and fish dishes, was incredibly delicious. I also thoroughly enjoyed the island cuisine served at breakfast. The open-air bath on the top floor was fantastic; I used it multiple times. The gelato there was also delightful! I loved seeing the adorable chubby goats with their kids and ended up buying a T-shirt from the shop as a souvenir. If I have another chance to visit Amami, I would definitely stay here again!

    Do not expect too much.

    I visited the Amami accommodation listed on IKYU with high expectations due to its excellent reviews. While the sauna malfunction on the day was unavoidable, I detailed other disappointing aspects in a survey addressed to the manager.

    Amami Kikaijima Tour

    5-day trip Staying at the Yagijima Hotel on the last day was truly a great choice. My friends mentioned they enjoyed the ocean-view bath multiple times. They all said they would like to make a Reservation again if they visit Amami Island—this makes me so happy!

    First Time in Amami

    Stayed here for the second night of our Amami trip. The beautiful white building with blue lines was spotless and provided a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet on the terrace was delightful, accompanied by a pleasant breeze and the song of Ryukyu ruddy kingfishers. Enjoyed delicious chicken rice while soaking in the relaxed atmosphere. Would love to stay at this accommodation again if given the chance.

    It was a wonderful H...

    It was a wonderful Hotel. The entire facility was clean, the staff were kind, the breakfast was delicious, and the bath had plenty of hot water—everything was perfect. Even though it was a last-minute Reservation, it turned out to be an excellent choice. I would love to stay here again.

    The best Hotel.

    The front desk service was excellent. Also, the view from the Room and the bath was amazing. I would like to mention two points of concern: 1. The Wi-Fi connection was not working. The dedicated Wi-Fi in the Room was not functioning properly. 2. The sauna temperature is too high. Although it is listed as 42–44°C, it was actually around 50°C, which is very hot.

    It was great!!!

    I usually stay at a hotel in the northern area, but this time, since I wasn't going to swim in the sea, I tried this hotel for the first time. It's a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities, and there are baths and open-air baths on the rooftop, making it perfect to enjoy a bath while gazing at the sea. This time, I didn't have any meals, but next time, I would like to enjoy the dining experience. In the morning, a staff member kindly drove me to the bus stop, and even in that short time, I enjoyed hearing interesting stories about whales and more. However, I was impressed by the advice that the northern area is more convenient if swimming in the sea is your main activity. I would like to visit again, not for swimming. Thank you to the staff.
