    Thank you very much.

    This Japanese-style Ryokan is one where you take off your shoes at the entrance, and all the staff were kind and welcoming with warm smiles. The sea is nearby and could be seen from the large public bath as well. The indirect lighting was lovely, but it felt a little dark for someone as timid as me. I forgot something behind, and thank you for carefully wrapping it up and sending it to me.

    It was a wonderful Accommodation right in front of the ocean.

    The Room was clean. The meals were very delicious. I think it offers great value for money. The large public bath was also clean and nice. It was a bit disappointing that it is not an Onsen, but I was still able to relax 충분ly.

    It was delicious again this year.

    We visit every year with our grandchildren. Everything was delicious again this year, and the kids were thrilled. We hope to come again next year—thank you in advance.

    I chose this Ryokan ...

    I chose this Ryokan based on priorities of hygiene, service, and meals. Everything met my expectations, and I was especially impressed by the meticulousness and taste of the meals, truly living up to the reputation of a fine dining Ryokan. The service was also excellent, allowing me to relax completely. Next time, I plan to visit with my wife.

    The Sound of the Sea

    For the Celebration of 80th Birthday

    The meals were generous in portion and had a refined taste that was neither too strong nor too mild, making them very delicious. We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my father's 80th birthday, and the surprise cake was adorable, delicious, and absolutely perfect. The staff provided excellent service with warm smiles throughout our stay.

    Accommodation is excellent! As for the Baby-Friendly Plan, it's so-so.

    Our high expectations may have contributed to our experience. We would appreciate it if you could consider this perspective. We booked the Baby-Friendly Plan and stayed with our one-year-old child, who has just started standing while holding onto things. The accommodation itself had a retro atmosphere and excellent baths, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The room was also retro and very charming for adults. However, for a child, it posed challenges such as fragile sliding glass doors, shoji screens, and low electrical outlets that required constant vigilance to keep the child safe. Meals were served in the room, but since hot dishes were placed on a low table, we had to keep the child away from the table constantly, making it difficult to enjoy our meals peacefully. What stood out most was the service provided by the staff during dinner time. We had requested a baby seat like a Bumbo chair and warming of baby food beforehand; however, these requests were delayed as they prioritized serving adult meals first without consideration of our situation. As there was no food prepared for children either, we couldn’t start eating until everything else was sorted out. When asked if they should serve meals more slowly at one point during dinner service—our response requesting them instead prioritize bringing over items like Bumbo seemed met with frustration or irritation from their side—leaving both my spouse & me feeling quite uncomfortable overall. Without having brought along an infant under such circumstances likely would've resulted in much greater satisfaction overall—but given how heavily marketed "Baby-Friendly Plan" raised expectations beforehand—it ultimately led towards disappointment instead due unmet needs experienced throughout stay itself. Perhaps someday when children grow older revisit might become viable option worth considering again!

    Disappointing compared to the Review

    I chose to stay here this time because the reviews were high, but first of all, even though I had informed them in advance that I would be coming by car, I was guided to park in a way that slightly protruded onto the road, possibly due to insufficient parking space. Perhaps it was because we arrived later than expected. This time we stayed in a separate room, but it was so cold outside the room that it made me hesitate to use the toilet or washbasin. The open-air bath was almost covered by a roof and faced the road, so it was disappointing not being able to open the door. The washing area is completely outside as well, requiring us to wash under hot showers in freezing conditions. In most other properties, only the washing area is indoors... However, both the temperature and quality of the water were good; my skin and hair became smooth. We opted for a small delicious course for dinner but found it still too much; however, each dish itself was very tasty. Room service dining at our separate room must have been challenging for staff members carrying meals back and forth as well; unfortunately though timing and temperature weren't optimal when dishes arrived at our table during busy hours—placing plates on tables seemed quite careless which surprised me—and explanations about dishes were minimal while miso soup served later turned out lukewarm with dessert arriving so late one might wonder if forgotten? Placing trays with food directly onto carpeted floors felt uncomfortable too... Breakfast served privately within an individual room proved highly satisfying nonetheless! Being my final property over three nights/four days meant expectations ran high yet disappointments abounded overall...

    The Room and meals are very satisfying.

    The detached Japanese-Western room allowed for a very relaxing stay, thank you very much. Also, the oyster kaiseki, which we tried for the first time, was a delight for the grandchildren, with an abundance of plump oysters that seemed endless. The room and the menu were completely different from when we visited four months ago, allowing us to enjoy a fresh experience. Additionally, I was very grateful for the change to an early breakfast due to my sudden work commitment. This is a property I would like to use every season.

    A wonderful Ryokan that will leave lasting memories

    Even though we arrived early, we were grateful to be shown to our room before the check-in time. The oyster dishes, which are a favorite of my mother-in-law who is turning 90 this year, were astonishingly delicious, and she was able to eat a lot, making it a delightful trip for us. Since it was a detached room with an open-air bath, we could enjoy a leisurely bath at our preferred time, which was very satisfying. The staff at the Stays were considerate of my elderly mother-in-law, engaging in pleasant conversations, which made for a wonderful memory. The view of the magnificent sea from the room was endlessly captivating, soothing our hearts and naturally bringing smiles to our faces. We are truly glad we came. Thank you for taking care of us.

    Truly wonderful again.

    It was excellent!

    We stayed at Gyokuei. For us as a couple, it was an important trip after losing a beloved family member. The staff were truly kind, and the open-air bath was amazing! We definitely want to come back.
