    The building and location are excellent.

    This was my second stay. It’s a wonderful location facing a quiet cove. The spacious Room is very stylish, and the windows and mirrors were spotless—everything was impeccably cleaned. Overall, the staff’s hospitality is not bad. However, as I felt last time as well, the dining was truly disappointing. I had expected fresh local seafood from Oshima for dinner (the creative French course), but perhaps it depends on what they can source? Both the spiny lobster and tilefish had a texture that felt like frozen seafood. The simmered fish at breakfast was similar. The yellowback seabream was far from fresh and soaked in overly sweet broth; it didn’t suit my taste, so I barely touched it and left most of it. I understand the effort to entertain guests, but even when the meat is served flambéed, the sauce cools during that time and ends up tasting heavy. Is this performance really necessary? Lastly, the wine prices on the list do not match the level of service at all. It feels like they are priced at around four times market value, yet when ordering Burgundy there wasn’t even a proper Burgundy glass available. There is no sommelier either, so there’s no explanation of the wine or confidence in its condition. I want to say: if this Hotel is charging that much markup, guests are paying for service. The Hotel itself is excellent, so if you dine elsewhere (though Oshima doesn’t seem to have many options), or if they offered something like teppanyaki where you can simply enjoy great Nagasaki meat and fresh seafood, I might consider returning again.

    Exceptional value for money

    This Accommodation comes highly recommended by a renowned Hotel critic. Although it is away from central Nagasaki, I think it is a Hotel well worth going out of your way to visit. The Room was of a level you normally couldn’t stay in at this price. We arrived early for check-in, and the staff recommended a walking route around the Hotel—about 40–50 minutes on foot. Since it feels quite isolated without a car, we also had dinner here. It’s an expensive set-course dinner, so my rating was slightly strict because of the price. They also offer an à la carte menu. For breakfast, I chose the Western option. It felt a little lacking that there was only one type of bread—the same round French loaf as at dinner. The Japanese breakfast might be more recommendable. I requested Shuttle Service from the port and communicated by email; their responses were fast and excellent. That alone shows this is a first-class Hotel. Because of the ferry schedule, it looked like we might arrive just before lunch service ended, but they did their best to accommodate our request (in the end we switched to an earlier ferry so it wasn’t necessary). Also, the ferry from Sasebo was not as rough as I had feared—an easy and comfortable 30 minutes. There’s too much to say here, but I’m truly grateful for all the thoughtful care shown by every member of staff. “A Hotel worth making your travel destination.” That’s what this place is.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    We visited for the first time over the New Year holidays. We happened to find this Hotel and stayed as a family, and it exceeded our expectations—we truly enjoyed a wonderful trip. The building, the Room, the meals, and the hospitality were all perfect, and we promised ourselves we would return. Throughout our stay, we repeatedly felt the many thoughtful touches that made our time so comfortable. After returning home, we even ordered boxes of the Nagasaki scented tea that was in our Room. We will definitely visit again in summer as well. Thank you very much.

    Designed by Kengo Kuma, the hotel offers not only beauty and functionality but also exceptional service from the staff. Each meal was carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. The piano performance even accommodated requests. This was my second stay, and I had a wonderful time. Thank you very much!

    Excellent location

    A beautiful location surrounded by a cove. The transparent bathroom is also very lovely. The meals were meticulously prepared and absolutely excellent. Next time, I would love to try the Hotel's cruise ship.

    A sophisticated and wonderful Room that blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

    Visited as a couple and stayed in a very stylish and functional Room, surrounded by the peaceful natural environment, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing and wonderful time. Both the staff and the food were excellent.

    A relaxing Hotel for both children and adults to enjoy

    Stayed during the Obon holiday with my 2 years and 10 months old child. It was a wonderful Hotel where adults could relax, and children could play energetically. The Hotel's pool and walking paths had many crabs and cicadas, which delighted my child while playing in the pool or searching for insects. The pool had shallow areas, making it enjoyable even for children. From the Room's bath, we could see a beautiful green bay, offering an amazing view. We chose a breakfast-included Plan with options of Western or Japanese cuisine featuring local dishes that were very delicious. I would love to stay at this Hotel again if I have another opportunity.

    Hotel after a drive along the bay

    We visited Olive Bay for a short trip with my son and his wife while living in Nagasaki City. The Room was clean and comfortable, offering a view of the serene, small bay. We also enjoyed pool time with our 6-month-old grandchild. The staff were kind and attentive to small children, providing excellent service. They proudly explained the use of local ingredients, which made the meals delicious.

    Journey to the End of Nagasaki

    I couldn't forget the orange juice I had at Olive Bay Hotel, so I visited again. The food is also very satisfying. Whenever I stay, I usually ask for a late-night meal at the property, but the meals here are so fulfilling that I don't even need a late-night snack. Although it's a bit far from Nagasaki city, if you're traveling for three days and two nights, I highly recommend staying here for at least one night. I also plan to take a three-day, two-night break and visit again.

    Stays are satisfactory

    The Room was spacious and relaxing. The service was polite and satisfactory. The meals, made with local ingredients, were delicious. The access was not very convenient, but I would like to use it again.

    Anyway, it's wonderful.

    The level of the Hotel is undoubtedly high, but unlike typical luxury hotels, there are no pretentious staff, making it very friendly, bright, and relaxing.

    An unforgettable memory for a lifetime

    I stayed during the three-day weekend in November. When I mentioned in advance that it was an important person's birthday, they suggested a cake and arranged for gift delivery, and I was impressed by the staff's attentiveness even before my stay. The exterior and interior are, of course, beautiful, and the breakfast is a must-try. It's so exquisite that it might change your perspective. They kindly mentioned that they look forward to welcoming me again for my own birthday, so I found another reason to visit. Thank you very much.

    Truly a wonderful Hotel

    I stayed with my daughter for my birthday. The Room was stylish, and the bath faced outside, giving a sense of openness. The drinks in the refrigerator and the snacks provided were free, so after the bath, I relaxed in the Room with a beer and felt great. We had dinner at the Hotel's restaurant, and all the Hotel staff were kind and treated my daughter gently. I was delighted when the staff sang a birthday song to celebrate my birthday. The Japanese breakfast was also luxurious. If I hadn't been driving, I would have liked to have some champagne. After breakfast, we walked along the trails around the Hotel. There were jellyfish swimming in the sea, and crabs walking on the trails. It seemed to be a good experience for my daughter as well. The Hotel itself is lovely, but the warm hospitality of the staff made me feel very satisfied. Thank you very much.

    Comfortable.

    Perfect in both hardware and software Simply beautiful. Even the balcony. The glass cleaning is excellent, so the view is clear. I'm a germaphobe, but there wasn't a single thing that bothered me... The serene view from the sophisticated space was very nice. Check-in Room explanation was just right, no excess or deficiency. No questions arose later. The staff's demeanor was pleasant. Breakfast staff After the meal, while looking at the elevator wondering if I could go outside, a staff member noticed from afar and ran over, asking, "Mr./Ms. ○○, would you like to go outside?" Even though they were 50 meters away, they kept seeing me off for a long time. They have a wide field of vision. I understand well as I am also in the service industry, but in spontaneous moments, where you usually call customers to avoid mistakes, they had perfectly memorized my name. Everyone was young, but they provided very good service. The next day, compared to here, it was three times the price, but it didn't surpass the impression here. Maybe because I didn't expect much when visiting... It might have been the most pleasant experience I've ever had.
