    It was exactly as expected.

    This was my second stay. Just like last time, I was very satisfied. Each dish was well seasoned, and the freshly fried tempura was delicious. The sushi was slightly dry, but still acceptable. Since it was a buffet, empty plates were cleared quickly, so I could go back for seconds comfortably. I would like to come again.

    A nearby getaway with a full resort vibe

    This was my first time staying at Tokyu Harvest Hakone Koshien. The evening atmosphere felt truly resort-like, the food was delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation, including the Onsen. Thank you very much. I would love to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    Second stay

    This was my second stay. I enjoyed a spacious Room at a reasonable price. What was disappointing was that although it was a top-floor Room, the view right in front of me was a soccer field, which took away from the atmosphere. But I don’t think anything can be done about that. The buffet dishes felt like they were a step down compared to last time, though it may just be my imagination. Still, I plan to visit again. Thank you in advance.

    This is my regular Accommodation in Hakone.

    I stay here several times a year—four times so far this year—and I plan to visit once more before the end of the year. The buffet and kaiseki meals are delicious, and the Onsen and Facilities are clean, so I’m always very satisfied.

    We stayed as a couple. The Room was very clean, and the view from the Room was amazing. Dinner had to be picked up individually from the first floor to the sixth floor, which was quite inconvenient, so if we stay again next time, we would like to dine at the restaurant. Overall, we were satisfied with the Hotel and would like to visit again.

    Buffet Takeout Plan

    Although I’m a member, Hakone Koshien isn’t my home resort, so I made a Reservation through IKYU. It’s easy to get to from Tokyo, so I keep coming back casually. The Room is simple. Cleaning didn’t seem thorough all the way out to the balcony; when I stepped outside, there were what looked like dead bugs on the floor, and even cobwebs got on my clothes—shocking. For dinner this time, we took the buffet back to the Room. It was my first time with this Plan and I was looking forward to it, but there was no explanation, which made me uneasy. When we got to the restaurant, other guests were using trays and carts and filling takeout boxes… but it wasn’t clear how many boxes we were allowed to take or whether it was okay to put entire small dishes into them. For now, I brought back two boxes and drinks on a tray. The cart cannot be taken out. Someone spilled something in front of the elevator and staff were cleaning it up… which is bound to happen. We carefully returned to the Room and ate. You want hot food as soon as possible. The taste is consistently good, so that part is fine. Still, seeing roast beef curled up inside a box really reminded me how important it is to eat on proper plates. My partner took three boxes and was completely full. An hour later we went back for dessert. They also had chocolate fondue, and even small kids seemed happy. This Plan could be enjoyable once you get used to it, but they should provide a usage guide at check-in or leave one in the Room—absolutely necessary. Because after eating, we had no idea what to do with all that box trash. We could only stack it on top of the fridge space or on the floor. The Onsen, bed, and sofa are great. We’ll come again, so I hope this takeout Plan will be improved by then.

    Not flexible.

    We borrowed a pet cage. After checkout, our child wanted to do a stamp rally, so we asked if we could extend the pet cage rental even for a short time, but we were told that any extension would require an additional fee. I understand and know it was for our convenience, but if they had been a bit more flexible, I would have given a perfect rating including the service.

    Recommended Hot Springs for a Weekend Refresh

    This hot spring retreat is conveniently close to the Kanto area, making it ideal for a refreshing weekend getaway. There are plenty of dining options and sightseeing spots nearby, and the clean air is perfect for recharging. It’s also close to the Gotemba Premium Outlets if you’re driving, so a Multiple Night Stay is highly recommended.

    Spacious and comfortable space

    Since we had booked dinner on the Orient Express at the Lalique Museum, we wanted to stay at an Accommodation nearby with an Onsen, so we chose this place. The building and Room were spacious and well laid out overall, and we were able to relax and unwind while savoring the afterglow of dinner. Although there were many families, by adjusting our timing we were able to enjoy the Onsen and breakfast in a relatively quiet atmosphere. The staff were also kind.

    A calm, upscale Hotel

    Having had a wonderful stay at the neighboring Hakone Hisui before, we decided to visit this property this time. I expected it to feel more casual, but it had an upscale atmosphere, and even with many guests it remained calm and relaxing. The area overlooking the pond and trees—beautifully illuminated at night—was especially lovely. When a line formed while waiting for check-in, a staff member guided us to the self check-in machine, so the process went smoothly. The Superior Twin Room was spacious enough and comfortable, with a table and sofa for relaxing. However, the view of the neighboring school’s sports ground was a bit disappointing. We chose the buffet for both dinner and breakfast, and enjoyed both very much. Dinner was great, especially the freshly fried tempura, roast beef carved by the chef, and the wide variety of desserts. For breakfast, I was happy to find Japanese options like grated yam (tororo) and mentaiko (spicy cod roe), which went perfectly with rice. Since we were also able to make a Reservation at a very good price, our overall satisfaction was high.

    A Sad Spring Break

    Because Harvest Kyoto Takamine was so wonderful, I visited Harvest Hakone Koshien with high expectations. The bath with a great view was excellent, and it also had an outdoor bath and a sauna. There were also a jacuzzi and a pool, so there were various options as a spa experience. However, in the Room, there was a wet, crumpled towel left on the shelf under the sink—apparently from the previous guest or used during cleaning. When I called the front desk, they promptly came to replace it with a full set of fresh towels, but only offered a brief apology and said they would inform housekeeping. I used one towel without noticing at first, but considering it may have been in contact with used towels, it felt very concerning from a hygiene standpoint. Given this situation, I could no longer fully enjoy the buffet-style meals either. I have stayed at many places ranging from casual to more upscale, but this is the first time something like this has happened. I have never posted before either, but I am honestly shocked. Perhaps because I explained things politely, it felt like their attitude was simply “as long as it doesn’t become a bigger issue.” The response did not feel like what I would expect from another Harvest property, and it turned my spring break into a sad one.

    Relax in the Onsen.

    Sengokuhara offers many sightseeing spots, and there are plenty of convenience stores, supermarkets, and restaurants within walking distance of the Facility, making it ideal for mid-term stays.

    A safe and relaxing Accommodation for seniors

    Whenever we want to truly unwind and relax, we arrive in just over two hours by highway bus from Shinjuku Station, soak in the Onsen, and enjoy a delicious dinner in a spacious dining venue. The next morning, we relax again in a massage chair while watching the beautiful sunrise. This is our favorite Accommodation as a couple in our 70s. We will visit again to soothe our tiredness. Thank you very much.

    Great value for money.

    The courtyard view from our twin Room on the 4th floor was wonderful. Perhaps because of the season, neither the meals nor the large public bath were crowded, so we had a very comfortable stay. We would love to visit again.

    Returning guest, seeking relaxation...

    I regularly stay at this accommodation, not for sightseeing in Hakone, but as the main purpose of my visit. The place is adorned with greenery and flowers everywhere, and when you look out at the courtyard, the reflection of Hakone's outer mountains on the pond's surface provides a soothing escape from daily life. The hotel is quiet. I particularly look forward to spending time in the lounge, enjoying coffee while reading a book. The hotel staff warmly welcomed me and made my stay in their inviting room truly relaxing.

    I had a relaxing stay at this calm and peaceful Hotel.

    The dinner was delicious, especially the freshly fried shrimp tempura. The open-air bath was also enjoyable. When leaving on the Hotel's welcome bus, many chefs in uniform came out to see us off despite the cold weather, which warmed my heart. I would love to stay again.

    A relaxing Room.

    The Room was more spacious than expected, and the large bed was very comfortable, making my stay very pleasant. The bathroom was clean, the changing area had plenty of space, and the hot water felt great. There were some slippery spots that made me a bit uneasy, so I gave it 4 stars. Having both a sauna and an open-air bath was a nice touch. The buffet dishes were all delicious. I also enjoyed having wine served generously in large glasses. However, it was unfortunate that the lighting seemed misaligned, casting shadows while eating. I loved the large chairs in the lobby where I could sit comfortably with my luggage still in hand. I would love to visit again!

    Balance is...

    This was my first stay. The facility, including the room and bath, was very clean and comfortable to use. The meals were buffet-style, but the dishes were elaborate and delicious despite being lightly seasoned, which is rare. I ended up eating more than usual for dinner. On the other hand, breakfast was quite ordinary and did not meet the expectations set by dinner, which was disappointing. The onsen had excellent water quality; it warmed me up without making me feel exhausted from sweating too much, and the warmth lasted for about three days, which felt great. However, I noticed a notice on the wall asking guests to wash properly before entering the bath. It would be helpful if this information could also be provided at check-in in a separate handout to ensure everyone can enjoy their time comfortably—especially younger guests or international visitors who might not be familiar with this custom. Additionally, there was a long line at check-in when I arrived, so I used an unmanned machine for check-in instead. However, I didn’t receive a map of the facility or vouchers usable within the hotel until checkout time. Luckily it worked out as I planned to make purchases upon leaving; otherwise, it could have been wasteful if I'd bought something earlier without knowing about them. If this is always how things are handled here, first-time visitors wouldn’t know these details unless informed beforehand—perhaps encouraging staffed check-ins or having someone oversee unmanned ones to provide necessary information would make this hotel even better!

    Average in every aspect.

    The room is small, and the indoor slippers are one-size-fits-all, which were too large for me and caused blisters on my feet. Both the meals and the Onsen were very ordinary, with nothing particularly memorable.

    A very relaxing and highly satisfying Hotel

    A spacious Japanese-style room on the 5th floor for a family of four adults, featuring two large beds and two futons (with comfortable mattresses). The view from the large window was truly relaxing. The buffet-style dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes, including desserts, all of which were delicious and satisfying. The Onsen on the 6th floor left our skin feeling smooth, and the relaxation area with full-length windows provided a serene view. We also enjoyed using the full-body massage chairs for added comfort. However, one downside was that there was a smoking room near our accommodation, causing strong cigarette odors to linger in the hallway from dinnertime until late at night. This was unpleasant and disappointing. We hope smoking rooms can be placed in areas away from guest pathways in the future. Overall, it was an excellent family trip, and we would love to stay here again!

    Visit during nearby business trips

    Thank you for your stay with us. As always, the facility was clean, and I thoroughly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. However, (1) although I reserved a non-smoking room, I was assigned to a floor that had been designated as a smoking area from the time of opening (for members only) until recent years. (2) Additionally, during both dinner and breakfast, there were discriminatory and trivial instructions (remarks) given by Japanese staff to new foreign staff in front of guests, which left an unpleasant impression uncharacteristic of Harvest Club. That said, the service provided by the front desk staff, souvenir shop staff, and cleaning staff was excellent overall. It is a great facility overall, so I would like to visit again if given the opportunity.

    Good Hotel, just a little...

    We stayed as a group of 8, including my elderly mother. The accommodation seems to have been renovated, offering a calm atmosphere and cleanliness even as a large facility, making for a pleasant stay. We chose buffet-style meals for both dinner and breakfast, which had a wide variety and were very delicious. However, the coffee at both dinner and breakfast was a bit disappointing. Especially in the morning, the coffee provided in takeaway pots had an over-brewed taste. Additionally, the room did not include complimentary mineral water, only teabags of Ashigara tea, which felt slightly below the expected standard for the Harvest brand level. Other than that, the spacious public bath with a sauna and various options was excellent. The nostalgic game center and karaoke room were also enjoyable. This accommodation is highly recommended as a base in Hakone for families and groups.

    Clean Guest Rooms

    I stayed at the accommodation with my elderly parents during our trip. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, making it very comfortable to stay in. However, I noticed that the sound of water flushing from the toilet in the neighboring room was quite audible. When I tried to sleep, the frequent water sounds made it difficult to fall asleep. It might vary depending on the room, but I felt unlucky this time. The onsen was very pleasant and enjoyable.

    The room is spacious and allows for a relaxing stay.

    We chose this Harvest for our trip with our grandchild because it has a pool. We have also stayed at the Karuizawa Harvest and like the spacious Rooms and clean design of the large public bath. The entire Facility feels relaxing, which is great. The game corner was enjoyable enough for our grandchild, who seemed very satisfied. (At one point, there was an issue with a game machine, but the staff at Harvest handled it pleasantly and we appreciated their assistance.) The meals were buffet-style and average, but I thought the desserts were good. Some concerns: The beds were hard, and the shower temperature in the large public bath fluctuated between cold and warm—it might need repairs. Perhaps due to being an older Facility, some aspects of Room design felt inconvenient; however, the Room itself was clean. It would be nice if towels were provided in the large public bath area as well.

    Second stay

    We visited last summer with friends and loved it, so this time we came with family. The Onsen, pool, and room were all comfortable. Dinner was a buffet; the dishes felt slightly lightly seasoned, but the desserts had a wide variety and were very delicious. Summer in Sengokuhara is cool and pleasant, so we would love to visit again.

    Would love to visit again.

    This was my first time staying at the Harvest Club, and perhaps because it caters to basic members, the atmosphere was calm and I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing stay. The food was served buffet-style and was so delicious that I ended up eating too much. I especially loved the breakfast. All the staff were attentive and pleasant. With nearby museums and charming cafes, I could enjoy my stay centered around the Hotel even without a car. The lounge became one of my favorite spots to unwind. Since the weather wasn't great this time, I'd love to visit again on a sunny day. I'm planning to stay at another Harvest Club next month, which makes me even more excited!
