    Thank you for hosting us for one night.

    The Hotel itself feels a bit old, but it is clean, and the location and Facilities are convenient with no issues. I stayed for one night, but there was a clump of hair on the bathroom floor and hair in the bathtub as well, which was unpleasant, so I did not use the bathtub and only took a shower. Please ensure more thorough cleaning.

    There was no folding...

    There was no folding luggage rack in the Room, which was inconvenient. The bar on the top floor had a great atmosphere, and I went there every day.

    Highly convenient

    Right in front of the canal cruise boarding point. Right in front of the LeTAO shop. Located in the very heart of Otaru sightseeing, we also enjoyed seeing the Asuka III docked at the port—an excellent stay.

    A Wonderful Otaru-Style Hotel

    I stayed in an Executive Twin River View room. I enjoyed the view of the canal, the port, and historic buildings from the Room. The Room was spacious and the bath was comfortable, but unfortunately I was a bit put off by the smell from the smoking area near the first-floor lobby. Both the exterior and interior suited Otaru’s historic character, and I would choose this Hotel again next time.

    The unit bathroom was terrible.

    As I stayed alone, I used the unit bath in my Room, but the bathtub would not fill with hot water and the shower water pressure was extremely low. It took a long time just to rinse off soap, so I gave up on filling the tub. I called the front desk and a staff member came, but they said, “This is about the usual amount of water,” and there was no apology at all. Also, the water from the sink became scalding hot even when I turned the lever only slightly toward hot. In this cold weather, I had to wash my face with cold water. The service at check-in was good, but I do not plan to stay again, and I intend to tell my friends about this.

    A Hotel with the Scent of Otaru

    This was my second trip to Otaru, following a visit in spring. I traveled from Texas, USA, to Asahikawa and then to Otaru by rental car. During my previous trip, I stayed far from the city center, so this time I chose Hotel Nord Otaru with its stunning view of the canal right in front. The room was quiet with a view of the sea in the distance and Otaru Canal right below. The hotel staff were extremely polite and kind, making my stay comfortable and worry-free. The location is excellent as everything—shopping and restaurants—is within walking distance. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, including a seafood corner that felt luxurious and tasted delicious. Although I had an early departure at 6 AM on my last day, I truly appreciated that my car was ready in the parking lot thanks to their thoughtful service. I definitely plan to stay at this hotel again for future visits. One small suggestion would be adding hooks for used bath towels. I ended up using clothing hangers instead!

    Relax in a bath with a washing area

    This was my second stay. This time, I stayed in a spacious Room. The Room faced the canal on the intersection side, and the bathroom with a washing area was large and relaxing. There is a sofa in front of the TV, but I think it would be better if it could be adjusted to face the bed as well. In line with an eco-friendly approach, the amenities provided were limited to a toothbrush, a folding comb, and a razor. No mineral water was provided. The sound of the drainage pipes continued throughout the night. The soup curry for breakfast was spicy and very delicious. However, I was a bit disappointed that it only contained vegetables. Being right in front of the canal, it’s perfect for sightseeing around the canal area.

    I love Otaru!

    It was our first family trip to Hokkaido. The accommodation was a bit small for four people, and it was a pity there was no large public bath, but the hotel had a calm atmosphere with beautiful stained glass. We also appreciated the welcome drink in the lobby on the first floor. The tomato juice was delicious! The location was perfect for exploring Otaru. This time we stayed with no meals included, but if we visit Otaru again, we would like to stay with a breakfast-included plan.

    The Room and location are excellent.

    It was a wonderful and very relaxing Hotel. The massage service called to the Room was excellent, and I felt very relaxed.

    It was a very nice Hotel with a great atmosphere!

    The Room and bath felt a bit dated, but the view of the Otaru Canal from the Room was excellent. The breakfast was very delicious, featuring Hokkaido ingredients, which was very satisfying. During busy periods, the parking lot is likely to be full. I parked nearby.

    Satisfied.

    We stayed here for a family trip, and it was our first time in Otaru. The location is excellent, right in the center of the Otaru Canal area, making it very convenient to access everywhere on foot. The stained glass at the entrance added to the travel atmosphere with its charming interior design. The breakfast buffet may not be restaurant-level, but it offered a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes with fresh ingredients (especially vegetables), exceeding expectations for its price range. The room was slightly small, and we wished there was more space to open our suitcases. It was a bit disappointing to see some signs of renovation work, but there were no issues with the water facilities. The staff provided polite and attentive service throughout our stay. Overall, we were satisfied!

    Hotel Yosh, Great Location

    The Hotel has a retro and charming atmosphere, with a great location right in front of the canal. We arrived by rental car on Saturday evening and were worried about parking, but we had no issues using the Hotel's multi-story parking lot. The breakfast buffet was delightful, especially the potato rice flour breaded fry and soup curry.

    Completely satisfied.

    We stayed as a group of three, mother and daughters. The twin room on the courtyard side with an extra bed was still spacious, and having separate bath and toilet made it very comfortable. For breakfast, seats were assigned so there was no need to search for one. They even changed our seat to a better spot when available. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed seafood rice bowls, soup curry, and stir-fried noodles with thick sauce. The Hotel is conveniently located just a straight walk from Otaru Station and right in front of the canal cruise boarding area—perfect for exploring the town on foot. If you don't require a large public bath, this is an excellent Hotel choice!

    The Hotel is conveni...

    The Hotel is conveniently located right in front of the Otaru Canal, making it ideal for enjoying canal cruises or exploring the city. The staff at the front desk, parking attendants, and even those at the wonderfully atmospheric bar on the top floor were all incredibly kind and welcoming, allowing for a very pleasant stay. Thank you very much!

    Excellent value for money

    The bathroom is separate from the toilet, and the location is great, so I think the cost performance is excellent. The building is also lovely. However, I wish they had renovated the bathtub first. Seeing dirty areas in the water facilities can be disappointing, even if other aspects are good. The breakfast buffet had a variety of options and was enjoyable.
