    It feels cheap...

    I’ve stayed here several times, but this year, despite the price doubling, the food quality has dropped significantly. There was a massive moth infestation, and many dead moths were left on the floor of the open-air bath, but they don’t clean it until 9 a.m. It was so unpleasant that I couldn’t use the open-air bath. The sauna is excellent, but the “relaxation chair” is just a bench. It’s disappointing because there’s no backrest. Everything was disappointing. I will never go again, and I can’t recommend it to anyone I know.

    Although it’s a bit old, the Onsen is great and it offers excellent value for money.

    I stayed on a budget Plan where the Room was assigned by the Accommodation. There was no view from the Room, but given it was a budget Plan, I thought that was understandable. The Hotel overall feels old—like a large, traditional Showa-era Hotel. There were many international staff members, but the service wasn’t bad and nothing in particular bothered me. Breakfast was buffet-style, with a reasonable selection of both Japanese and Western dishes. Nothing stood out as “this was amazing,” but it was satisfying overall. The best part was the large public bath and the open-air bath. They were very spacious and clean, and the changing area was also large and easy to use. The amenities were well stocked, so I could use them comfortably. I also enjoyed being able to relax in the open-air bath. Overall, it does feel dated, but considering the price it’s more than enough. For this price in Shiretoko, I think it offers good value for money.

    It was comfortable.

    It was great that we could use the bath anytime. The open-air bath uses natural hot spring water, and the temperature was very hot, but it left my skin feeling smooth. The Room was also very spacious. There were power outlets next to the bed, which was a nice touch. However, the air conditioner vent was directly overhead, so it felt cold. The dining venue was very large, so even with many guests it didn’t feel too crowded. There was a wide variety of dishes and free drinks, so we were very satisfied. All of the desserts were especially delicious.

    I’m from Taiwan and booked a one-night stay with two meals. The staff, food, and hot springs were all amazing. I’ll definitely book again on my next trip.

    The meals are excellent.

    There were few international visitors, so we were able to relax in a quiet atmosphere. The meals offered a wide variety and were very satisfying, and having both a sauna bath and an open-air bath was excellent.

    Buffet Dining

    I stayed here during my trip to Shiretoko. The Hotel seems to have undergone multiple expansions, with buildings scattered around, making it a long walk to the dining area. As for the meals, they didn’t match the price and didn’t suit my taste. In particular, the seafood bowl was made with frozen hokke and salmon, which honestly wasn’t tasty at all. It’s quite overpriced, but since there aren’t many restaurants in town, staying with meals included feels like the only option.

    Comfortable beds

    Moving from the accommodation. Thank you for providing a comfortable bed at a reasonable price. After that, I stayed at Kitakobushi, and it was clear that spending more money brings corresponding quality. I would love to stay again.

    A large-scale Hotel with attentive care.

    The bath was very relaxing, with the open-air bath offering abundant hot water, and the sauna was clean. I enjoyed it in the evening and soaked again in the morning. At the breakfast buffet, the salmon ochazuke was especially delicious, and I had seconds. My family mentioned that they found the venison curry to be excellent!

    I would like a Multiple Night Stay.

    It was a very lovely hotel, and staying for just one night felt insufficient—I wanted a Multiple Night Stay. The meals were, of course, luxurious, but the Room was exceptional. It was spacious and extremely relaxing. Additionally, the information space on the first floor was a treasure trove where I could gather plenty of useful information. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    It was the best accommodation!

    Stayed for one night during a holiday for sightseeing in Shiretoko. I didn't have high expectations since the price wasn't that high, but I was very satisfied with the buffet. Everything was so tempting that I ended up being a bit greedy. Also, the hot spring was a nice murky brown, and I was greatly soothed by the outdoor bath, where I could gaze at the starry sky at night and the dew-covered greenery in the morning. If I had to say, it was a bit disappointing that the dinner time was limited and a bit early, and the response from the front desk when I asked for sightseeing information was somewhat unfriendly. However, it was an inn I would definitely like to use as a base again if I have the chance to visit Shiretoko for sightseeing. Thank you very much.
