    Affordable

    I stayed at this hotel because I was looking for one with connecting rooms. The location was great, and it was nice to stay at a reasonable price. I wish the air conditioning had an adjustable temperature setting.

    Shuttle Bus Information

    I heard there was a shuttle bus service from Kagoshima-Chuo Station, but I couldn't find the boarding location and called multiple times. I was told it was at the bus terminal. From the station's east exit, only the bus boarding area was visible, and I couldn't figure it out. Despite calling several times, I only received automated guidance, and eventually, an announcement said reception hours had ended. The next day on my accommodation date, when I called during available hours, they said it was platform 3 for the shuttle bus. After confirming it was platform 3 at the east exit and waiting there, no bus arrived. When I called again to clarify, they said it was in front of a building across from Kagoshima-Chuo Station. Even after searching around that building's road area extensively without success, I had no choice but to take a taxi to the hotel. Later on my return trip using the shuttle bus service, I found out that its boarding location is behind a building opposite the station in an obscure spot. Clearer explanations and guidance would have been appreciated.

    Sakurajima

    The view of Sakurajima floating on Kinko Bay right in front is absolutely stunning, and the Room was clean and very comfortable.

    Sunrise over Sakurajima

    From the room's balcony, we enjoyed a leisurely view of Sakurajima before sunrise and beautifully illuminated by the morning glow. The evening kaiseki and morning buffet were delicious, making our first visit to Kagoshima truly wonderful.

    The view was great, but...

    The location was good, but the hallway was hot, and the room was extremely cold due to an air conditioner that couldn't be adjusted, which made it exhausting. The building is old, so it's understandable, but the bathroom was very small and had a musty smell, which was a downside. The friendliness of the front desk staff varied; some were pleasant while others were not. I don't think I would stay here again.

    Satisfying all five senses, truly relaxing.

    We booked a 4-person room using our family holiday during Golden Week for the special dinner event. Many families of all ages were visiting, but the venue and schedule were well-organized, allowing us to enjoy a delightful and delicious time with plenty of smiles. The variety of dishes was abundant, leaving us very satisfied. Although it was drizzling, we could go directly from the parking lot to the hotel without getting wet. The scent of the shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom was wonderful and very relaxing. Next time, we would love to try the onsen as well.

    Upon arrival

    Arrived early on May 4th and tried to leave luggage and change clothes before sightseeing: A man in a suit, appearing quite authoritative, said: "You cannot check in until 3 PM!" "There is no place to change!" His tone was condescending. To avoid any conflict, I quietly left my luggage and changed in the restroom before heading out for sightseeing. Checked in around 4 PM, and at that time, both women at the front desk were pleasant and accommodating. (This is my honest impression.)

    A Hotel where a room (Western-style) for a family of four is always available for Reservation. Enjoy a relaxing and delicious dinner, with a breakfast full of variety to satisfy your appetite. The views of Sakurajima and the lively surrounding scenery and sounds from the room or balcony are truly soothing.

    Thank you for taking...

    Thank you for taking care of us during our 3-day stay. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the Western-style restaurant and Japanese restaurant on the first floor. The prices were reasonable, and the meals were very delicious. The staff's service was also excellent. We would love to stay here again when visiting the area in the future.

    I felt unwell.

    There was a large brown stain on the curtain in the room we were shown to at check-in, and black mold had developed there. I immediately called to report this and requested a room change. A front desk staff member came, but they didn't even try to look at the room's condition. When I asked them to check, they entered the room and confirmed it, but there was no proper apology, and it felt like it was just resolved by changing the room. I would like to ask the manager: Was there no guest in room 914 before our stay? Initially, I asked this question to the staff who came during the room change, but they only responded that they didn't know, and there was no follow-up investigation or answer. Why do you show guests to such a dirty room? Is this acceptable for your hotel? Although the issue was considered resolved by changing the room, our stay was unpleasant when recalling that dirty room. If you don't know the answer to a question, it's proper to investigate and come back with an explanation later, as it concerns the hotel's credibility. Isn't the quality of a hotel determined by such matters?

    A hotel with a long history

    The hotel has been around for about 40 years, and while it is indeed old and not sparkling new, the cleaning is reasonably well done, and it's fine for a 1-2 night stay. Having a washing machine and dryer was also helpful. The best part was the front desk service. The staff was very polite. The board with information about the public bath and the number of eruptions of Sakurajima was also very nice. And staying for two nights during a three-day weekend for just under 20,000 yen for two people is greatly appreciated for someone with family in the Kamoike area.
