    A Hotel where you can feel genuine hospitality.

    I stayed here the night before a business trip. Even though it was late at night, check-in was smooth. I had a lot of luggage, and after check-in, when I headed toward the elevator, the doors opened right away—someone must have pressed the button for me, which was very helpful. Both experienced and younger staff were polite and warmly welcoming. The Room was spacious and helped me recover from my fatigue. The sink and other Facility features felt a bit dated, but otherwise everything was clean and I had a comfortable stay.

    Whenever I visit Makuhari, I always stay here.

    I used to stay here almost every year when I was single. This was my first time visiting with my family, and it became a truly memorable stay. It was also my first time staying in the Corner Twin Room. I could spread out our luggage on the sofa, and it was very comfortable. However, the faucet in the washroom kept dripping unless tightened firmly, so I would appreciate it if this could be improved. It had been about seven years since my last stay, but the staff’s warm hospitality was unchanged, and I felt at ease throughout. I would love to stay here again when visiting Makuhari.

    Day-use

    Before I reached the front desk, I was asked, “What brings you in today?” and was told at the entrance that it was a day-use stay. It would be better to be smoothly guided with “The front desk is this way.” The Room was spacious, but there were no amenities such as hair ties or a shower cap. It would be nice to have tea and coffee.

    A family-friendly Hotel

    We stayed on a Plan with breakfast included. There were children’s toys, and the dog characters seemed fun for our child to look at. It’s very close to the outlet mall, and the view from the breakfast venue was wonderful with the ocean in sight. This is a Hotel we would definitely like to visit again.

    Wonderful hospitality.

    The staff’s warm hospitality was truly wonderful. When I was looking for the ice machine, they kindly escorted me to its location. The Room was clean, and the bathroom was spacious, making for a very pleasant stay.

    This was my first time staying in Makuhari to watch a soccer match. I also work in the service industry back home, and your hospitality was truly inspiring. The breakfast was delicious, and I enjoyed being able to take my time and eat at a relaxed pace. If I had one request, next time I’ll try to visit outside the rainy season.

    Using an off-site paid parking lot with no security.

    I arrived by car, but the Hotel refused to let me use its parking lot and directed me to a paid off-site parking facility. Anyone could access my car, so there was no security at all. The Room was also worse than a Business Hotel. I will never stay here again.

    Cleanliness

    The in-room facilities and amenities were very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. The ocean view from the window was also beautiful, which was wonderful. We would like to stay here again when we are in the area.

    The bathroom was not very good.

    The Hotel staff provided very courteous service, which made my stay very pleasant. As for the Room, the bathroom had a strong moldy smell and did not feel clean.

    It was excellent.

    It’s close to Makuhari Messe, and all the staff were very friendly, so it was a wonderful stay. I’d like to use it again.\nJust one thing: the duvet on the bed is quite thin, so I would be even happier if it were thicker in winter.

    The staff are wonderful.

    I stayed here to attend an event in Makuhari. The Facility felt a bit old, but the front desk and my Room were well cleaned, so I had a comfortable stay. It was a little disappointing that the bathroom area in the Room still felt dated. All of the staff were kind, and I think it was the best service I’ve ever received among the Hotels I’ve stayed at. To be specific, I was trying to catch the bus to Haneda Airport. While checking the time at reception, it turned out it was exactly departure time, so I rushed to the bus stop—but the bus passed right in front of me. A young female staff member ran after it for several meters. Just as I thought there was no way I’d make it because the driver didn’t notice us, another male staff member quickly went around behind the Hotel and managed to stop the bus—and incredibly, it came back for me. I’ve never experienced service like that before and was truly amazed. Thanks to them, I made it onto the bus safely. Thank you very much. When staying in Makuhari again, I would definitely like to use this Accommodation again.

    A Hotel near the station.

    It was great that the Hotel is close to the station, so finding places to eat was never a problem. The exterior looks new, but there were many parts of the Room that felt historic. That said, everything was well cleaned, so there were no issues. The breakfast buffet had the standard Japanese, Western, and Chinese options. The salad bar included local vegetables and several kinds of fruit, which was a big plus. This time we traveled by car. We couldn’t use the dedicated parking lot due to size restrictions, so we used a nearby outdoor parking lot instead. It’s a short walk from the Hotel, but it didn’t bother me personally. It was only one night, but I was able to relax and rest quietly. Thank you for your hospitality!

    It is quiet.

    Recently, I have stayed at various accommodations, and this one was excellent as I wasn't bothered by any surrounding noise (such as footsteps in the hallway). The room had wine prepared, and I was satisfied with the complimentary drinks in the refrigerator. Thank you very much. It would have been perfect if ice was available on floors other than the basement and if the double bed were wider. I look forward to staying again if given the opportunity.

    About the breakfast staff

    The staff's friendliness at check-in was delightful, but the male staff member's response the next day during breakfast when another child spilled something was truly outstanding.

    Highly recommended.

    There was an acoustic live performance at the chapel, so I decided to stay at the hotel as well. The exterior and lobby were adorable, and the room's light blue interior was just as lovely as in the photos, making me excited throughout my stay. The bed was spacious and very comfortable to sleep on. Above all, the hospitality of all the staff was truly outstanding. The amenities and unit bath were simple but felt very clean and well-maintained. If you are not particular about facilities, this accommodation is highly recommended for its reasonable price despite being close to the station and for its exceptional staff service. I would definitely like to stay here again if I have another chance to visit Makuhari.

    This is our regular accommodation for events at Makuhari Messe.

    I use this place every year during the same event. It's close to the convention center, making it very convenient to go back and forth, so I always stay here. The Facility is a bit old but well-cleaned and sufficient. The shower water pressure is also fine. The staff are very kind and pleasant. I will definitely stay here again for future events.

    Since it was No Meals Included, there weren't many opportunities to interact with the staff, but when we did meet them, their service was pleasant. The guest room was smaller than expected, and the unit bath was also cramped, making it feel like they were doing their best to fit in shampoo and body soap. It didn't quite have a "Hotel" atmosphere. Considering the price, it's understandable, but I wish it had been a bit more relaxing in terms of ambiance. For two adults in a twin room, it felt tight; perhaps it's better suited for single occupancy? The strong water pressure in the shower was refreshing and enjoyable.

    The bathtub drain is not functioning properly.

    When the bathtub was drained, water overflowed to the toilet side of the unit, causing flooding. It seemed that the drain cleaning might have been insufficient. Unfortunately, it was disappointing.

    The facility was disappointing.

    I have stayed here several times and visited again after a few years. Since it was a corner twin room, the room was spacious, and I enjoyed chatting with my friend at leisure. Later, I filled the bathtub with water and took a bath. When I opened the shower curtain, the bathroom floor was flooded. The indoor slippers were even floating on the water. Unable to do anything about it, I waited for a while, and as soon as the bathtub drained, the water in the bathroom also receded. However, naturally, the bath mat was soaking wet. Since my friend needed to use it next, I informed the front desk. It seemed like this happens often; they provided us with several bath mats and slippers. Still, the bathroom remained unpleasantly damp and had an odor of sewage. As payment had been made in advance during check-out time, staff only collected our key without any further interaction or acknowledgment of what happened during our stay. While I'm not necessarily expecting an apology—it left me feeling unsettled overall wondering why recurring drainage issues aren't fixed? Or is this unavoidable due to aging facilities?

    Best Value for Money!!

    There are many hotels in Makuhari, but I chose this one through IKYU because it was affordable and within walking distance from the station. I have stayed at other hotels before, but this one was clean and had well-equipped facilities such as an air purifier and humidifier in the room. While some parts showed signs of age, areas like around the bed were kept clean. The room size was slightly larger than a typical Business Hotel, but the interior felt more like a City Hotel. I stayed here for my child's exam, and they kindly provided candies for examinees, which was a thoughtful gesture during such a nervous time. It was much appreciated. Although I didn’t use it myself, there were microwaves on each floor, making it convenient for guests to heat up food like cup noodles purchased from vending machines when staying overnight. This hotel seems to cater well to its guests' needs with considerate services.

    About In-Room Facilities

    Pros: - Convenient for attending events at Makuhari Messe; luggage can be stored in the cloakroom until the end of the day on check-out. - Guest rooms are equipped with a device that includes various charging cables, including one for iPhone. Cons: - After draining the bathtub post-bath, some water leaked into the bathroom area, leaving it soaked. - The twin room beds are small, and those taller than 170cm may find their feet sticking out.

    A bit disappointing

    I usually stay around Shin-Urayasu or Maihama, but this was my first time staying in Kaihin Makuhari. I was surprised by how convenient the area is with so many malls and shopping areas nearby. Although I arrived late at night, the male staff member was very kind and accommodating. When I entered the room, there was an unpleasant smell, so I opened the window to ventilate for a while. Despite being renovated, some parts of the wallpaper were peeling off or poorly repaired, and certain areas in the bathroom were not thoroughly cleaned. Considering that it wasn’t particularly cheap this time due to my schedule, I felt a bit disappointed. As noted on their listing, please be aware that their parking lot is an old multi-story type with size restrictions; unfortunately, our car didn’t fit due to my oversight in checking beforehand, so we parked at a nearby paid parking lot instead. The room had a large table set which made it very convenient for dining with items we bought or working on a PC. The space was just right—there was enough room to open a medium-sized suitcase without feeling cramped. The staff members were all very kind and provided excellent service throughout our stay.

    As a repeat guest of your hotel, I recently had the pleasure of staying with you again. Thank you for your thoughtfulness in preparing the requested rental items in the room from my previous stay (March 2024). The room was also cleaned thoroughly. The bathtub was polished so well that I accidentally slipped, but it might be a bit slippery for the elderly and children, so some caution may be needed. It was a 2-night, 3-day hotel stay, and thanks to you, I was able to relax and enjoy my time. Thank you very much.
