    The bath is wonderful.

    We stayed here as a family of four when visiting Hawaiian. The bath was excellent and very well cleaned, so we could enjoy it comfortably. The Room is a bit old in design, but it was clean and there was nothing in particular that bothered us. The food was delicious overall—especially the squid sashimi at breakfast, which was outstanding and made our elementary-school-aged son very happy. We also appreciated how attentive the staff were. However, what was extremely disappointing was a male staff member with glasses who seemed to be in charge of the parking area. Right after we arrived by car, he didn’t greet us at all and abruptly asked, “Are you staying?” When I told him we were guests, he bluntly said, “Back up your car” (we have an L-shaped minivan so it’s tight within the space). It’s true that the front of the car was about 20 cm over the line, so I understood. But even when I said, “I’ll adjust it later—may I unload our luggage first?” he only replied “Sure,” without offering any guidance or help at all. After unloading our luggage, I went back immediately to move the car; despite being fully within the lines, he tried to make me back up until I was almost touching the car behind (to the point where I couldn’t open the trunk). When I firmly said, “I can’t back up any further,” he walked away without saying anything. This was the first time I’ve ever been treated so rudely. Aside from this man, everyone else provided good service.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    We stayed again with our grandchild, and the children’s meal was more than they could finish. Thank you as well for the sweets, even for our grandchild who is now in junior high school—your thoughtfulness is truly appreciated. At the dining area, the staff checked on us many times, so we were able to relax and enjoy our meal without having to get up. The Room was also very clean, and thank you for the bottled water in the refrigerator. We would like to make another Reservation.

    What You’re Looking for in Your Trip

    Because I rarely have the chance to travel with family or close friends, I usually travel alone. Soaking in the Onsen helps me clear my mind. Enjoying delicious food is a true happiness. What’s more, Shin Tsuta brings me peace, so I return again and again. This is very important to me. The sense of calm and fulfillment I feel is thanks to the warmth and character of each and every member of your staff. That calm and fulfillment also makes me feel as if it restores my purity. When I get home, I already want to go back to Shin Tsuta—like when I was young, after seeing my sweetheart and returning to the dormitory, I immediately wanted to see them again.

    We were very satisfied.

    This was my second stay, and this time we chose a Room with a semi-open-air bath. It was so spacious it felt almost too big for two people. We were able to relax at our own pace, enjoying both the large public bath and the bath in our Room. I especially liked the “Hoyakuyu” medicinal bath in the public bath area. For dinner, we chose crab and yellowtail collar—there was an incredible amount of grilled collar! Everything was delicious, and even with full stomachs we headed back to the Onsen. I also loved the mushroom miso at breakfast and bought some to take home. This is a thoughtful Ryokan that makes you want to come back again and again.

    The service, meals, and bath were all excellent.

    I made a Reservation for a “limited view/conditions” guest Room in the main building (non-smoking). It didn’t bother me much in terms of distance, but for guests with mobility issues, this Room may be difficult because there are many stairs. The Room was spacious and clean, and I didn’t feel that the bath or dining area was far. One concern was the step up when entering the Room and when going to the toilet—I almost tripped every time and had to be very careful. The lounge coffee and snacks were a nice touch.

    Everything is excellent.

    This trip was a gift for my parents. The portion sizes were perfect for my parents, who don’t eat much, and we were very satisfied with the Room, the bath, and the meals.

    Highly satisfied

    I stayed in a room with a bed. It felt a bit small, but it was no problem as I fully enjoyed the Onsen. The mixed-gender open-air bath was comfortable since yukatas were provided, though the wooden sandals could be slippery if you didn’t dry your feet well. The large public bath was also very pleasant. The dried fish "Mekabu" served at dinner was rich and delicious, and the miso that came with the horse sashimi was amazing—it even paired well with steak! Everything was incredibly tasty and satisfying. The only disappointment was that the batter on the Mekabu tempura was too hard. The staff's thoughtful hospitality made for a very pleasant trip overall!

    Why I Keep Coming Back

    A welcoming accommodation where you can easily feel at home is ideal. Even while traveling, it feels like a continuation of your daily life. At the same time, subtle care can be felt in the well-maintained garden and the flowers displayed here and there, offering an escape from the ordinary. The meals are satisfying in both quality and quantity. The rating of 4 is closer to a 4.5 evaluation.

    Satisfied.

    We stayed in a room with an open-air bath, and the room was spacious. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were served in generous portions that even our grandchildren couldn't finish. We were very satisfied. After dinner, the grandchildren received some sweets, and during checkout, we were given fireworks as a summer holiday treat. Thank you very much! This is an accommodation we would love to visit again with our family! The pudding we bought at the shop seemed a bit pricey but was absolutely delicious!

    A serene accommodation with a traditional Japanese ambiance

    The Room was spacious with three areas, offering a luxurious setting. I could truly feel the serene atmosphere of Japanese style. The hot spring water was exceptional, and I bathed three times. With pH 8.1 water, my skin felt beautifully rejuvenated after each bath. Each dish in the meal was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

    A Journey to Hometown with Grandchildren

    Famous as the "Rainy Sentiment Accommodation," this place has recently gained more recognition as the accommodation used by Shogi player Sota Fujii during the Ryuo Championship. This was my second stay here, this time with my grandchild. Amazingly, we stayed in the very room where the match took place. Surrounded by vibrant greenery, everything was spotless and comfortable. Meals were served in a private room, making it a pleasant experience. The onsen was delightful, especially enjoying a morning bath that left both heart and stomach satisfied. There’s also a vending machine offering Kimura Milk and Häagen-Dazs ice cream, along with a great selection of souvenirs!

    Room upgrades commonly offered at a Hotel for first-time guests.

    The room was listed as a 10-square-meter single, so I didn't have high expectations, thinking it would be similar to an APA Hotel. However, it turned out to be a relatively high-floor twin room. The service and facilities, including the large public bath, were excellent. If this quality is maintained at this price, I would gladly become a repeat guest.

    I was able to relax.

    The interior is luxurious and clean, and the service is excellent. The open-air bath is small but sufficient. The large public bath is spacious and hygienically maintained. The meals were delicious and worth the price. I would like to visit again.
