Overall, it was good.
I’ve been taking my mother on a trip every year lately as part of celebrating her birthday. This year, since she said there wasn’t anywhere in particular she wanted to go, we chose this Hotel recommended by an acquaintance. The property is a bit old, but the Room was spacious and the view was wonderful. Arisugawa was even more delicious than expected, and they also prepared the celebration cake we had requested. It was very tasty, and we truly appreciated it. My mother was very happy. Thank you. The staff at Arisugawa even congratulated us when we were leaving. They were cheerful and provided excellent service. However, one issue: the woman at check-in didn’t smile at all. Even when I asked questions, she only replied “yes” and continued with her explanation. She glanced at my mother briefly but never smiled at her either. After check-in, my mother said, “I’ve stayed at many Hotels and Ryokan before, but I’ve never seen such an unfriendly hotel staff member.” Since that was our first impression, I felt disappointed despite having come all this way. That said, the view from the Room, the quality of the food, and the service from other staff members were great, so things improved. If everyone had been like that person at check-in, we might have left. The person who handled our checkout was polite and had a wonderful smile. Considering the price, I felt it offered great value for money, so I would like to visit again if I have another opportunity. I love bread as well, so I’m looking forward to a bakery opening. Thank you for taking care of us. Thank you very much. P.S. The reason I rated hospitality/service as 3 is only because of the check-in experience. Everyone else was excellent.

Delicious cuisine and breathtaking views
Because of the great Reviews, I’d been interested in Maiko Villa for a long time, and I was finally able to stay there. The entrance was luxurious, and although the building should be old, everything inside was very clean. Our Room was a view-bath twin. The Room itself is a standard twin Room, but the moment I stepped into the bathroom, I was amazed. It’s a view you could watch all day and night. We chose the buffet dinner plan, and there was a wide variety—every dish was delicious. There were also many kinds of desserts; I almost wished I had another stomach. In the morning it was a bit crowded with many foreign tour groups, but overall it was a very satisfying Hotel stay. This time we visited during heavy rain, so next time I’d like to come back on a clear day to see the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Thank you for taking care of us.

I’d love to stay here again just for the sauna.
The ocean-view scenery was spectacular, and the sauna Facility was among the finest in Japan. If using public transportation, it is a bit far from the station and can be challenging, but the in-Hotel services and luxurious atmosphere were excellent.

I’d definitely stay here again.
This was my first stay here. First, the amenities and Facilities are well stocked with items that younger guests will enjoy. It seems you can also use the training gym, but it was disappointing that I didn’t have shoes. There is a wide variety of food, and the taste is decent. The cleaning is thorough, and although most of the staff were from overseas, communication was not a problem. The view was also great. It’s a Hotel I would choose again if I’m in the area.

A Stay After a Long Time
I stayed here for the first time in several years. I made a Reservation to relax and enjoyed the spa. The Room was spacious, and I could see the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge—everything was wonderful. The crème brûlée at the buffet was outstanding. I will make another Reservation.

Slightly dissatisfied
I stayed in a room in the newly built building. There was no bath chair or wash basin in the bathtub area, which was inconvenient. There was also nowhere to place a change of underwear, etc. I believe the existing rooms had items such as lotion, but the room in the newly built building did not.

Summer Vacation
When I stayed in the SPA building last time, I was curious about the main building, so I decided to stay again. Regarding the Facility such as amenities, showers, and hair dryers, are there many guests with poor manners? I did notice that some things were not well stocked. I stayed in Room 6**, which seemed to be around the middle of the building. With the Seto Ohashi Bridge right in front of me, the view was great, and I was able to relax comfortably. The breakfast venue was a temporarily set-up location, but it also had a great view. Thanks to the greetings and thoughtful attention from the male staff members, I was able to enjoy my meal pleasantly. Thank you very much. I would like to stay again to rest and recharge.

I will never go again.
The front desk service was terrible. There was no explanation about the facilities at all. I didn’t know which elevator to take and ended up wandering around. I bought an iced latte in the lounge area next to the sauna, but it was just a weak iced coffee worse than convenience-store quality with a small UCC milk on the side—and it cost 750 yen, which is unbelievable. It wasn’t an iced latte to begin with. I checked out using the machine, but there was no “thank you” or any send-off at all—this place is hopeless.

A nice, simple accommodation.
Although we were visiting from the eastern part of the prefecture, we could enjoy a real travel feeling with a close-up view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge from our Room. The Room in the renovated spa building was simple yet clean, and we stayed comfortably. When the TV remote didn’t work and we contacted the front desk, they responded immediately. (The cause was dead batteries.) The diagonal elevator we took on the way from the Accommodation to Maiko Station reminded us of the one at Kuon-ji Temple on Mount Minobu. It was great fun. We’ll visit again in a different season.

Hotel with an Ocean View in Akashi
The view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge from the Room was breathtaking. The food was delicious, and we were able to relax in the luxurious large public bath. I wanted to have tea at the cafe, but unfortunately it was full, so I took a cake to go and enjoyed it in my Room. It was very tasty. There were various sightseeing spots nearby, and we enjoyed a pleasant walk around the area. We learned that a ferry departing Osaka around 9:00 p.m. passes right under the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, so we watched it from our Room. Recently, we traveled all the way to Moji on that ferry. When passing through the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, we could see the lights of Maiko Villa and it made us feel happy. We would love to visit again.

A satisfying sauna experience, even on a day-use stay
I knew this property had a men-only sauna, but I booked after learning there was also a sauna in the guest room. The room felt very clean, and it was well stocked—not only with standard amenities but also sauna items. As a sauna beginner, it was more than enough. I especially appreciated the sauna poncho! The sauna door handle is wooden and opens by pushing from inside the sauna room (you pull to enter). They had turned on the sauna to match my arrival time. The fridge had craft beer, Oronamin C, Pocari Sweat, and a local cider—one of each per person. The amenities were by KOSÉ, and the bath products were L’OCCITANE; even the scent was soothing. For outdoor air bathing, you can’t open the window so I didn’t expect much, but there was a fan installed above the chair and I could enjoy a pleasant breeze. There is a lounge on B1 where you can take out light meals (such as curry), which was convenient.

The wait to be seated for breakfast (about 30 minutes) was far too long; they should find a better system. Even when staying in a suite, dining is treated the same as for all guests, which was a bit disappointing. If you think of it as a casual Hotel, it makes sense.

The view is amazing.
The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge can be seen beautifully from both the Room and the restaurant. Watching the many different ships coming and going is also one of the highlights. Just looking at the view is soothing. I’d love to visit again soon.

The spa is excellent.
This was my first stay since the renovation into a SPA building. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it far exceeded my expectations and was excellent. I love saunas and was really looking forward to it, and I even got to enjoy multiple saunas—full of a resort-like atmosphere. The men’s sauna had an impressive feature you don’t often see elsewhere. I also enjoyed walking around Maiko Park and even made it as far as Akashi.\nI’d love to stay again, so thank you in advance.

First-time guest
I chose this hotel because it had great Reviews. Enjoying Italian cuisine while watching the sunset over the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge was a truly elegant experience. I was also very satisfied with the spa and breakfast. I will definitely stay here again.

I know, but still.
The checkout service made up for everything. At check-in, I was overwhelmed. The explanation was so fast that I couldn’t understand anything and ended up responding based on the 분위気 alone. Since I’m used to checking in, as long as I know the key card and Room number, I can figure out the bath and breakfast—but when it comes to hospitality and service, it didn’t leave me feeling positive. The Room was great, the view was great, the food was great, and the checkout service was great. It ended on a pleasant note. Still, factoring in the negatives, my overall rating is about average for a typical Hotel.

Very satisfied with the large public bath and breakfast
The large public bath was a great way to soothe my tired body. It was very clean, so I felt comfortable using it. For breakfast, I enjoyed plenty of delicious local specialties such as Himeji oden and octopus rice. The selection of sweets was also excellent—everything looked great and tasted wonderful. I didn’t get to try the bread, but there was a wide variety and it all looked very tasty. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Thanks to you, we had a wonderful trip!
A one-night, two-day trip to Awaji Island. Since we took the highway bus, “Kosoku Maiko” was our starting point. [Day 1: Awaji Yumebutai / Day 2: Fukura (Whirlpool Cruise)] So we chose this highly rated Hotel in Maiko—and trusting the high Review scores was absolutely the right decision!! - The Room felt very calming in its colors, furniture, and layout, and we were truly able to relax. The view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge right in front of us was amazing! I was also delighted that decaf coffee was provided. - The large public bath had great wall colors and a well-designed layout of the tubs; the water temperature was just right. It was clean, and we could soak and unwind comfortably. - Breakfast offered a wide variety with an exciting selection. Everything tasted great, and we were very satisfied. Not only Awaji Island but also Maiko Park is a wonderful place. We will definitely stay at this Hotel again!! (The only downside was the hair dryer noise—it was extremely high-pitched and hurt my ears so much that I gave up using it.)

My home water heater broke, so I stayed here on short notice, but it was better than expected. I was especially impressed by the quality and variety of the breakfast buffet. It seems an Onsen is being drilled; I’d like to visit again once it opens.

The views from the Room and the restaurant are stunning.
We stayed to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday. Thank you for the thoughtful congratulatory message in our Room. The view from the Room and the scenery from the breakfast restaurant were both wonderful—overlooking Awaji Island and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge—and with the great weather, my mother was very happy. The bath was clean and comfortably warm, which we appreciated. However, there were many international guests, and since the sauna usage notices posted outside were only in Japanese, I wondered whether safety precautions were being communicated adequately.

Hotel on a Hilltop
We stayed as three generations. I think it must have been a wonderful wedding venue in the past. The view was great, and everything was kept clean. We had a meat dinner at night and expected a lot because it was Kobe beef, but it was disappointing. The breakfast omelet was delicious, but I don’t think we would choose to stay again next time.

It was a spacious and clean Facility. The meals were very delicious. When we mentioned that our child doesn’t like raw fish, they thoughtfully prepared an alternative for the sushi. The bath was also spacious, and we were able to relax while enjoying the spectacular view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.

It was very good.
The staff service was excellent, and the Room was simple, clean, and very practical. The buffet food was fairly average. The garden was well maintained, and the view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge from the Room was outstanding.

The view from the Room was amazing. Thank you for kindly accommodating our request at check-in to change to a Room with a view bath. Being able to enjoy the bath while taking in a panoramic view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge made for a truly wonderful memory. The breakfast buffet offered such a wide variety of dishes that we couldn’t try everything. There were also nearby Facilities related to the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which we really enjoyed. It was a shame the weather was cloudy, but we’d love to come back on a clear day to see the bridge again.

On my previous stay, the spa was under renovation, but this time I stayed in the newly renovated Spa Tower. The building, Room, and large public bath were all very clean and comfortable. The view from the Room was especially amazing—I was truly impressed by the magnificent Seto Ohashi Bridge. The meals featured an appealing menu with a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious. (The souvenir bread and baked sweets as well.) I would love to visit again. A close-up view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge!
We had a relaxing stay! The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is beautiful—an amazing close-up view! Just like the Reviews said, the bath is a bit far, but it was fun seeing the bridge from different angles. The ReFa hair dryer and shower head were great—the shower felt like a “human washing machine,” in a good way! It was my first time experiencing that. Breakfast was also delicious. It was a shame that the window glass was a little dirty. The Hotel’s original walking map was great! We walked around to the Former Muto Sanji Residence, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Former Kinoshita Family Residence, and Goshikizuka Tumulus. It took about four hours and we really enjoyed it! The unusual escalator-like elevator up to the Hotel was fun too. We’d definitely like to come again. The pine garden associated with Arisugawa-no-miya Residence was wonderful.
