    A Comfortable Stay

    I had a very comfortable stay! There may have been a few minor housekeeping issues, but the Room and the Hotel overall were clean. I was very satisfied with the meals as well! I thought it might be nice to use even more local ingredients from Nagano. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    All dishes are delicious.

    Due to the bad weather, we arrived at the Hotel earlier than expected, but they promptly showed us to our Room, which was very helpful. We were very satisfied with the guest Room, the Onsen, and the meals. The only disappointment was that we were quite bothered by the noise of children in the Room above us jumping and running around. We understand this is a child-friendly Hotel with facilities such as a kids’ room, but we wondered whether it was appropriate to place an adult group in a Room directly below one with children. If we had mentioned it to the front desk when it started bothering us, would it have been possible to change Rooms?

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay, and the entire Hotel was clean. There was also a welcome drink, and the front desk staff provided excellent service. The Room was spacious and spotless. Above all, the bath area was large, and the open-air bath was incredibly relaxing. The meals were also very satisfying, with a wide variety including fresh vegetables, roast beef, and sushi. It is also kid-friendly, with a pool and a kids’ room, so next time I would love to stay with my grandchildren.

    A Wonderful Experience

    A certain Hotel in Kusatsu cost more for a similar meal, so this one offers great value for money. Compared with Kusatsu, everything feels perfect except that the Onsen quality is not quite as good. It is several levels better than IHG properties in Bangkok. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, and the food is delicious. The views are also great. I would definitely like to stay here again.

    Well-balanced

    I have stayed here several times since it was the President Resort. This was my first stay since it became an ANA Resort, and I found the dining and service to be excellent, making for a very comfortable visit. A couple of small points I noticed: when the bathhouse floor is wet, it can be slippery; and unlike when it was the President Resort, there were no chairs on the poolside terrace, so I couldn’t relax and enjoy the fresh highland air after dinner or before departure in the morning, which was disappointing. I understand this may be difficult to manage, but I hope you will consider it.

    Clean and great value for money.

    Perhaps because it was right after the summer holidays, we stayed on a great-value Plan. The Facility and Room were new, clean, and very satisfying. The open-air bath wasn’t large, but it was at a comfortable temperature and we could relax and enjoy it. On the other hand, the dinner buffet had limited variety, and some hot dishes had gone cold, which was a bit disappointing.

    The Room was clean and very nice, and we were able to relax. It was disappointing that the welcome drink service was only from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and had limited options. Dinner was great—the roast beef main dish was especially delicious. However, I was surprised that soft drinks with the meal were available only for kids. Breakfast had a wide variety of items, looked colorful and fun, and tasted excellent. The dining area was also clean and relaxing. The staff were calm and the overall atmosphere was good, but conversations among staff stood out at the entrance and around the welcome drink area. There were no particular issues, but it made me wonder if they were bored.

    Relax and unwind in peace...

    This was our first stay, and my spouse and I were able to relax and enjoy a quiet, peaceful time. The meals were delicious, and we left very satisfied. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

    Bath only.

    The guest rooms and the property overall have been renovated and are very clean. The meals were delicious, with an appropriate variety, and we enjoyed them even during a Multiple Night Stay. There were almost no amenities (available upon request at the front desk), and there was no bag for the Onsen, which was inconvenient. It’s best to come prepared. Also, the Onsen Facility is old and has not been renovated. When staying on a Saturday, the sinks with hair dryers were crowded, and there was an unbelievable amount of hair scattered around. This is an issue of guest manners, but I would like the Hotel to conduct regular patrol cleaning during busy times as well. It was so unpleasant that I couldn’t bring myself to step in. There seem to be more than enough staff clearing tables at the buffet—please allocate staff to Onsen maintenance instead! The customer service was very pleasant and made for a comfortable stay. I would like to visit again once the Onsen has been renovated.

    Exceeded expectations

    I didn’t have high expectations, but the Room, meals, and everything else exceeded them. I stayed for two nights this time; since dinner is a buffet, it would be nice if the selection changed a bit more from day to day. The food tastes great. The views and atmosphere were also wonderful.

    It was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and kind. I was truly impressed by the thoughtful touches throughout the Hotel, such as handwritten boards and information materials introducing birds you can see around the Hotel.\nThe Room was also very clean and comfortable, and the meals were delicious—especially the beef stew, which became my favorite. My family and I are already saying we definitely want to come again.

    A perfect summer getaway!

    Karuizawa is perfect for escaping Tokyo’s intense summer heat. From the transformed area around the station, we took a shuttle bus to the Hotel, set on spacious grounds at an altitude of 1,300 m. The renovated Room was large and spotless, and the big TV was ideal for relaxing in the Room. You can also take walks nearby, and we spent one day shopping at the outlet mall. All staff—including international team members—were very pleasant; it’s a reasonably priced Hotel with everything you need and nothing excessive. No bathroom amenities are provided at the sink for eco reasons, which was fine with us. Bringing your own bath towel to the Onsen (and taking it back) is a bit inconvenient. The sink and pillow were a little high for me. The front desk kindly helped with different pillow options, so I slept well. I also found the reading light switch and could read in bed, so I’m thinking of staying longer next year. For the sink height, I’d like to borrow even a small step stool.

    It feels especially geared toward families.

    We stayed as a couple. We were looking forward to the Hotel pool, but there were many families and it felt more like a public pool than we expected. Rather than a quiet, adults-only getaway, it seems better suited for families who want to enjoy a lively stay together. The buffet was thoughtfully prepared item by item and very delicious.

    Almost a perfect 5!

    I stayed for one night and two days. I arrived a bit early, and there was still quite a lot of linen left out in the hallway for cleaning. I initially assumed they were just busy, but it was still there even after dinner, so I would have appreciated more effort to keep it out of sight. Other than that, I was completely satisfied with the meals, the baths, and all services!! I definitely want to visit again! The dinner was especially delicious—your roast beef was amazing!! I also appreciated the large pillows!! Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

    It was an even better stay than expected.

    From arrival, the courteous service made my stay very pleasant. The atmosphere was relaxed overall, and all the staff were wonderful. Since the meals were buffet-style, I didn’t have high expectations, but everything was delicious. I’d like to come again and take my time. The only complaint was that the hot water flow at the Room sink was extremely weak. I had no choice but to wash my face in the bathroom instead. It may have been an issue only with the Room I stayed in.

    Awesome! I went ahead and made my next Reservation right away!

    This was my first stay. The Room was clean, and the baths were varied, with two types of sauna and free massage chairs—everything was excellent. The meals were delicious, and I felt truly refreshed. It was so wonderful that I immediately made a Reservation for my next visit. I look forward to staying again.

    The staff were very friendly, the meals were delicious, and the Room was spacious and comfortable. However, although it couldn’t be helped, the amenities were not provided in the Room, and I didn’t know at first that they were available at the front desk, so I was a bit inconvenienced.

    We ran into a proble...

    We ran into a problem right after arriving, but the Hotel staff helped us. Thank you to the front desk team. The Hotel was quiet even with children around, and adults can relax comfortably. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh vegetables and fruit for a healthy start to the day. The large public bath was spacious, and the water temperature was just right. I also left something behind, and when I called, they responded quickly—thank you very much. Thank you for everything.

    Relax and unwind.

    This was my first stay since the Facility was renovated. I have stayed at many Hotels in Japan and abroad, but it’s rare to find a Hotel this outstanding for the price. The service level is especially high, and every staff member was professional and attentive. The buffet meals were high quality and didn’t feel pre-made at all. Since it was very reasonably priced, I didn’t expect much from the food, but I was very satisfied. The Room was quiet, and housekeeping was thorough. I had no inconveniences at all and could relax and enjoy a peaceful break from everyday life. Because the Onsen is not free-flowing but uses a circulation system, there was a slight chlorine-like smell, so I rated the Onsen a bit lower. That said, there is also a sauna and a jet bath, so you can still unwind comfortably. Highly recommended.

    The perfect place for a mountain retreat.

    Although it was our first stay, the male staff member on the Shuttle Service bus was exceptionally hospitable, and we arrived at the Hotel in a great mood from the start. The front desk and restaurant also had many wonderful staff members, making our stay very comfortable. We enjoyed the Onsen to the fullest, and we were very satisfied with both the buffet dinner and breakfast. Next time, we’d like to relax with a Multiple Night Stay and truly unwind indoors. They also kindly allowed us a later checkout, so we could take our time and fully relax. Thank you very much for your help—great value for money, and we’re truly grateful.

    This is a wonderful highland Resort Hotel.

    Although we had an early departure the next morning and our stay at the Hotel was short, we truly enjoyed this luxurious Resort Hotel—its nature-filled location, the cleanliness, spaciousness, and views from the room, and the view of Mt. Asama from the open-air bath. Both dinner and breakfast featured many local ingredients and were delicious. There were many international staff members, but everyone at the front desk and in the restaurant spoke excellent Japanese and handled everything efficiently with a smile. It was a wonderful Hotel that made us want to stay longer next time. Thank you very much to everyone.

    A family-friendly Hotel where you can stay with peace of mind

    We stayed here for a family trip during Golden Week (including our 2-year-old daughter). [Location] It’s away from central Karuizawa, so it may be inconvenient for those who want to spend all their time in the town center. However, it’s surrounded by lush greenery, and we even spotted a wild fox while driving. It’s a great fit for people who plan to base themselves at the Hotel and go out by car occasionally. Since our daughter is still small and we weren’t looking to be very active, it was perfect for us. Because it’s outside central Karuizawa, there was no traffic at all even during Golden Week. [Room] We stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room, which is incredibly helpful when traveling with children. We could lay out futons on the tatami area to sleep. I understand it may not work with the design, but it would have been nice if the Japanese-style and Western-style areas could be separated into two rooms with sliding doors or similar. The Hotel had just been renovated and was very clean. There is also a kids’ room, and our daughter had a great time playing there. [Bath] The baths were spotless (including the changing area), spacious, and excellent! There were indoor baths, a bubble bath, an open-air bath, a sauna, and even a mist sauna—wonderful facilities. Our daughter used the in-room bath, and baby soap was provided as well. [Meals] Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style. The Joshu beef roast beef was amazing!! However, since we stayed for three nights and the menu was basically the same each day, we did get quite tired of it by the third time. I mentioned that it was my birthday in the comments section when making the Reservation, and they surprised me with a birthday dessert plate at dinner—I was so happy. Thank you very much. This is a Hotel I’d love to stay at again when visiting Karuizawa!! Thank you so much for taking care of us.

    Affordable even duri...

    Affordable even during a three-day holiday! Free Child Sharing Existing Bedding for elementary school children! The staff were very pleasant, and as an IHG member I was able to extend checkout until 1:00 PM—so nice! I enjoyed skiing and was able to spend a relaxing time. I feel bad comparing it with the Okinawa version since the prices are different, but I’d be happy if the breakfast were a bit more substantial. Also, since the bath facilities still feel old, I think repeat visits would increase if you renovated the changing area or provided towels in the public bath. That said, for this price, the Room was spacious, and everyone—from the restaurant and front desk to housekeeping—was courteous and professional, so I had a very comfortable stay. Full marks!! I also appreciated having a water dispenser service instead of bottled water. Thank you for taking care of us.

    I stayed for multiple nights.

    This was my first Multiple Night Stay (2 nights) at this Hotel. It is 22 km from Karuizawa Station; while there are ski and golf facilities in the area, there are no shops such as convenience stores, so a car is necessary for getting around. The Room was spacious with views of Mt. Asama, and the large public bath should be comfortable with two types of saunas and a jacuzzi; however, I heard that some guests included toddlers and foreigners who used the bath while still wearing swimsuits, which raised some concerns about manners. It seems that stays for children aged 12 and under are free, so it felt like a good Hotel for families to enjoy together.

    It didn’t meet my expectations.

    The Facility is fine, but I was disappointed with the staff’s attitude and the Hotel’s service, so I don’t think I will return. I had hoped to stay again in summer for golf, but it was very disappointing.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    The accommodation was very clean, and the room was more spacious and comfortable than expected. Thanks to the humidifier, it didn’t feel dry even with the heater on during sleep. The meals were simple but delicious and enjoyable (the roast beef had minimal fat, which was great, and the dessert on the second day was particularly tasty). Overall, the service was straightforward yet well-balanced, matching its price point. One downside was that Onsen use wasn’t allowed on checkout day due to crowds of ski guests. It would have been nice if guests could still use it on their final day, especially after skiing when heading home with a cold body wasn’t ideal.

    HAWAII LOVE！

    The view of Mount Asama is spectacular!

    We were upgraded to a room with a view of Mount Asama at check-in. The room was very spacious and convenient for two people. Amenities were well-stocked in the public bath area, so we didn’t feel any inconvenience. The Joshu Beef Curry served at dinner was incredibly delicious, and we’re already planning to return just for that. All the staff had wonderful smiles and worked efficiently, especially the shuttle service driver who was kind and provided excellent hospitality. The hotel offers great value for money, and at that price, we’re already talking about coming back with friends in early summer. However, it would be nice if there were a bit more creativity in the dessert served at dinner.
